Chapter 47: A different outcome [1]

Noah's POV(Point of view) :

—??????????!!—????????!!—????????????!!

-"Charge!"

-"Hold the formation!"

-"Raah!"

The clash of blades, and the cry of mages reverberated through the jungly canopy. The once silent greenery was now a battleground.

How did it happen?

It all happened when I executed my plan...or so to say.

The direction class A2 took was set on a direct collision route to the allied classes of A3, A4 and A5.

The clash between the two factions was inevitable.

But Myung Joon, the leader of class A2, was no fool. He knew better than to fight head-on against such a huge force. Unlucky for him, he had no idea that the other three classes were actually allies.

The scream from before—the distress call for both factions, was just my initiation of an already set in motion domino effect. Everyone followed the cry to its source only to end up in a direct confrontation.

Silent tension hung in the air—no verbal communication exchanged between the two factions.

And then, without any warning, it happened. A battle erupted between the allied forces and class A2.

Technically, class A2 was on the defensive, while the other side launched their attacks.

And even though, the difference in numbers was staggering; in class A2's perspective, it was just a ratio of 1:2. After all, class A2 had 300 students, while the enemy had 600.

"Hmm..." I hummed, watching the unfolding mayhem from a safe distance, sitting on a branch. Whoever was going to win this battle would be left too weak to do shit about class A1, so my job here was done.

I had no interest to watch teenagers fight, my priority was to hunt monsters.

At the moment, my smart bracelet displayed 600 points. In the novel, Aeravat had 850 points.

For me to secure a position in the top fifty, I needed at least 50 more points...I think?

With that thought in mind, I made my exit from the battlefield.

?????????!—With a quick movement of his knife, Kenta eliminated three students.

—????????!—????????!—????????!

Pausing to catch his breath, Kenta surveyed the chaotic battle. His aim was to eliminate the weaklings of A2.

With each slash, Kenta made quick work of his enemy, decreasing their numbers.

But, he also noticed that the enemy was doing the same. Notably, there was a skilled katana guy whom Kenta recognized as Karthik.

But, this did not concern him.

What did concern him though, was the sudden increase in his need of oxygen.

Every damn breath felt heavier than it should!

It almost felt like he was drunk? Poisoned even.

While this happened, Adin, the now tired leader of class A3, was locked in a battle against a girl.

Despite his tiredness, Adin fought with power.

In striking parallel, both Adin and the girl was using sword. After a grueling battle that lasted five minutes, Adin won, but he felt a weird wave of exhaustion.

Arisha, the leader of class A5, shared the same dilemma.

As they finally joined forces, Adin, Arisha and Kenta unleashed their full power, overwhelming the enemy.

The once powerful enemy was now reduced to only over a hundred students.

With panting breaths, Adin voiced his concern,"What's happening? I'm far too tired for just this much fighting. It make no sense."

Kenta and Arisha exchanged knowing glances, silently agreeing about the weakness.

Kenta commented,"Me too, I'm beginning to feel a bit drowsy. I suspect that those darts were laced with poi—"

Before he could finish his sentence, Kenta paused, collecting his breath. Eventually, he continued, "I have a feeling that those darts were laced with poison."

"Th—" Arisha began to ask for an explanation only to be interrupted by a sudden impact—??????!

A guy with jet-black hair and pristine white skin gracefully landed just a few meters away from them.

He turned around, to reveal two deep red orbs which was accompanied by his mediveal era hairstyle. Resting on his shoulder was a mace.

The trio fell into a silence, their brows furrowing instinctively.

The guy who landed before them was none other than Myung Joon, the leader of class A2.

With a casual air, Myung walked towards them.

Watching Myung Joon's confidence, it was evident that he was not to be taken lightly.

Just for reference, Myung was ranked (E-), a tier higher than the leaders of the allied faction.

A 3v1, but they were under the effects of the sedatives Noah gifted them.

A swarm of hundred bees, each as big as a brick, flew at the group of students.

They encapsuled the students, their wings buzzing incessantly as the winged monsters clung to their clothes.

Surprisingly, instead of stinging, the bees began vibrating their wings, forming a tight ball that trapped the students within.

As the vibrations intensified, heat boiled the trapped students. The temperature rose rapidly, and soon enough, it started to take a toll on its victims, eliminating them from the trial.

In a desperate attempt to counter the swarm, someone used a spell fire spell.

The attack rained flames on the bees, but to their dismay, the bees were far from ordinary.

Their wings acted as shields, protecting them from the fire. But, the flames did cause friendly fire.

Amidst the chaos, the fire luminated the dungeon, casting bright light that allowed everyone to see the chaos.

Currently class A1 was surrounded by darkness.

To navigate their way, many mages had to continuously cast fire spells.

Takahashi, feeling impatient, grumbled, "This is taking far too long." Gripping his glaive tightly, he hurled it at the swarm of bees.

??????!— The bees retaliated, huging Takahashi in their strategy of vibrating heat ball.

As the temperature started to boil, Takahashi remained calm. With a decisive move, he activated his bone capsule skill, encasing himself in a protective cocoon made of bones.

The bees' attack met with the hardened barrier, their attempts garbage.

In a beautiful display of skills, Emily released a volley of arrows on the bees. The projectiles rained down on the swarming monsters, eliminating them one after another.

With a powerful roar, fire erupted, forcing the of bees to retreat. At the same time, a guy with petal shaped brown eyes appeared. Casting a freezing spell he trapped the remaining bees in a pillar of ice.

Unfazed by the commotion, he continued deeper into the dungeon.

Brandishing his talwar, the guy expertly slashed through the monsters that dared to cross his path.

His movements were swift and precise.

"Aurora, David, and..." Aeravat's voice trailed off as he looked at his struggling class. Finally, he made a decision, "A few others, come with me. We're going to hunt the boss."

Confusion filled the air as a voice, seemingly coming from an encloser, interrupted, "What do you mean?"

In that moment, the bone capsule burst open, releasing a barrage of bone darts that rained on the bees, instantly killing them. Takahashi's frustration was palpable as he exclaimed, "So, we're supposed to stay here and fight while the rest get to go?"

Aeravat adopted a confident stance, gripping his talwar.

In a quick motion, he disappeared from his position, his figure vanishing into the air.

Suddenly, the dungeon was set ablaze with fire, ice, earth, and water.

Aeravat's unleashed a torrential storm of elemental attacks, causing the bees to plummet from the air like raindrops. After a minute, he stopped.

"Now, it should be easier, right?" Aeravat declared.

"Cover me from incoming monsters," he instructed. "I am going to slay the boss monster and end this bloody trial."
