"Is that your power, Ethan?" Michael asked while he was preparing to return to work. "You can summon weapons?"
"More or less," Ethan replied while checking their edge. "Don't worry, dad. I only use them on the simulator."
"I will trust your judgment," Michael said while nodding. "Are you liking the school? Did you make friends?"
Ethan couldn't help but force a smile after hearing that. He was thankful that his parents didn't change, but being treated like a child was a bit… uncomfortable, to say the least. Still, it was better than being feared or being asked about his experiences of the last year.
"Friends… well, it depends on what you consider a friend," Ethan replied while frowning. "I got acquainted with some weirdoes."
"Well, birds of a feather…" Michael smirked.
"Ha-ha, very funny," Ethan said, forcing a smile. "Anyway, use this in case something happens, dad. Give some to mom, too."
Ethan brought some health potions from his shop and gave them to Michael. Obviously, his father frowned, but he could imagine what Ethan was thinking. It was better to be safe than sorry. Still, that worry was unnecessary since Hannah gave them some potions thinking along those lines as well.
Soon after, Ethan returned to school, and then, without wasting more time, he headed to the fourth floor. As expected, the first stage ended in the blink of an eye, but Ethan didn't break his record because he wasn't that skilled while using axes to fight. Still, the slimes turned into dust…
