“Of course! I’m broken-hearted! Xiao Xi, should we go snatch her away?” asked Long Chen excitedly, suddenly sitting up.
When Ling Xi’s expression turned into annoyance, he laughed and reached out to pinch her cheek. She quickly dodged, glaring at him angrily. “You bastard. Don’t touch me.”
“Don’t be mad, I’m just joking. She’s so old and so ugly, I don’t want her! My Ling Xi is young and beautiful! Everyone wants her.”
“Hmph, I don’t want you.”
Ling Xi was happy to hear the compliment, though she still maintained her look of contempt.
Time passed quickly. Before noon, someone knocked on the door.
“Long Chen, Administrator Liu requests that you meet her at her residence.”
“Her residence? Aren’t I supposed to meet Chu Yunxi at the Turquoise Sun Hall?”
Gan Lin didn’t know either. He shook his head and said, “You should go meet her at her residence first. I have some matters to attend to, so I’ll be going.”
Long Chen was left puzzled, so he said to Ling Xi, “Ling Xi, we’ll go visit the beautiful Liu Lan first.”

Listening to their conversation, Chu Yunxi’s brows were knitted, and he said, “Uncle Liu, I will definitely help fulfill Sister Lan’s wish!”
