Chapter 3363 One Move To Kill?

Icy undulations quickly froze the atmosphere and caused everyone's thoughts to slow.

"I only need a single strike to claim many lives. The rest, I don't care if I die."

Tanya's cold voice echoed out as she held the hilt of her silver sword, its blade completely made of ice. Its shape was refined and intricate, even having artistic words of fondness etched onto it, but that didn't stop the others from feeling the cold chill on their necks or their souls.

Davis's brows raised as he looked at his Tanya grasp this sword and intimidate everyone in the hall, including him, as everyone was in her range.

However, he didn't doubt that she only needed a single sword strike to end any life here.

He knew this sword was the gift she got from the Frostcloud Sword Empress, knowing that it was sealed. The seal seemed to have come undone since Tanya reached the Immortal Emperor Stage, but he never expected the icy sword to be at the Peak-Level Immortal Emperor Grade.

Tanya had just naturally entered the Immortal Emperor Stage, so she was only a Level One Immortal Emperor. However, her comprehension of Ice Laws may have very well reached the level of Level Four Abstruse Intent, which was equivalent to Level Four Quiddity of Primary Laws, not to mention she might've finally learned Imposing Sword Laws.

He didn't know if she had learned Imposing Sword Laws, but what was true was that she held everyone's life hostage at this point.

Davis's heart couldn't help but swell with pride.

Not only was Tanya the first Immortal King among his women, but she was also the first Immortal Emperor, and she did so without sacrificing her prowess- no, even better, she could've increased her prowess.

But regardless of her prowess, the icy sword was too sharp and powerful to defend against, so just as Tanya said, she could claim any life or a myriad of lives with a sweep before she died from a barrage.

However, Davis's lips curled.

Would he let that happen?

"That's enough."

However, a golden-robed man stepped up.

It was none other than Founder Rocksunder, who had forced himself into this meeting and stood in a corner like the three Elders of the Aurora Cloud Gate spoke as he took a step forward with immense difficulty.

"Revered Saint may not know it, but the Aurora Cloud Gate was originally a safe haven for Divergents to live out their lives under the protection of Saintess Lunaria, who sees all life as equal with one another."

"…"

Everyone's attention turned to Founder Rocksunder. The Saint also turned to look at him, his eyes narrowing.

"What do you mean?"

The Saint recognized that Founder Rocksunder was an inheritor.

"It's just as I mean. The Guardians of the Aurora Cloud Gate have always been Divergents, and hence, they never stepped out of their Domain for most of history."

"What!?"

The Saint lightly stood up as his eyes narrowed while the others also reacted as though they heard something absurd. Some did look as though their fears were confirmed, but the majority seemed to be clueless, including the Saint and the Saintess.

"In that case-"

The golden-haired Saintess finally spoke, "What is the truth of the world? If we could spare the Emperor of Death, are we in the wrong for having killed other Divergents? Do you know how many Divergents we, the Dragon-Phoenix Alliance, have collectively killed in the last two million years?"

"…"

Her soft yet firm words brought silence to the hall, making everyone feel strange.

Were they the villains then for persecuting a group when it was clearly said that it was righteous to exterminate Divergents, even going as to be proved right, they were bequeathed with karmic luck from the heavens?

"I'm not saying that." Founder Rocksunder looked troubled.

"Not all Divergents go crazy. I can vouch for the Emperor of Death as an individual. He even spared the Fire Phoenix Clan, so why would the Saint still want him to justify himself? Is the Saint disrespecting the Divine Emperor of Death, a Saint among Saints who has life energy and is capable of fusing life and death to create reincarnation energy?"

"…!"

Founder Rocksunder's words made many expressions change.

The silver-haired Saint's cold eyes shook as though he had taken a personal attack on him while the golden-haired Saintess's gaze flashed with shock.

"Founder Rocksunder, have you gone crazy? Siding with… evil…?"

The Ancestor who was assigned to protect the Saint roared but hesitated at the end as he hesitatingly looked towards the Emperor of Death.

Founder Rocksunder turned to look at him and recognized he was also an Ancestor of the Earth Dragon Clan.

"It's not easy to come out of the preconceived biases that have stuck to our powers for millions of years. For the most part, you are right. Divergents are evil. This applies to most of them, but don't we have the wicked path and the righteous path? Don't Divergents get to be good out of their own will?"

"But the heavens have deemed them all to be eradicated." Another Ancestor echoed.

It caused Founder Rocksunder to take a deep breath before he took a step again and moved towards the center, regardless of whether he felt Tanya's killing move or not, as it shocked all.

"I know." He stood at the center, waving his hand at the Dragon-Phoenix Alliance, "If given the opportunity, I'm sure you all will be standing in a queue to exterminate the Divine Emperor of Death. However, today, he is here as a guest brought by my Earth Dragon Clan, and I would see to it no one, absolutely no one, sullies our pride and honor!"

"If you have the courage to take action, then try to kill him after he steps out of this region!"

He roared and trembled crazily, seeming to have expended his Willpower as sweat flowed down his forehead, causing numerous people to be dumbfounded.

Does a mere Immortal King have such Willpower to stand at the center of numerous High-Level Immortal Emperors?

"…"

Davis was also thoroughly taken aback, his eyes blinking as a feeling of awe brushed past him.

'Honestly… Founder Rocksunder… and Founder Zenflame… these two are monsters in their own right- no, heroes of their time…'

He inwardly shook his head as he didn't think anyone could move within Tanya's killing range unless they wanted to die. However, Founder Rocksunder proved different.

He was ready to die at this moment, even if someone made a move and all hell break loose.

Nonetheless, Founder Rocksunder's forceful speech only made the atmosphere confusing and more tense, so any minute suspicious movement could set off a bloodbath.
