Chapter 3260 The World Master

In the tranquil embrace of an ancient pagoda canopy, nestled among the serene, mist-shrouded prairie, there sat a captivating figure draped in regal, amethyst silk robes. Her flowing, obsidian-black hair cascaded like a river of night, tumbling down her back, framed by delicate strands of pearls and jade hairpins that gleamed softly in the sunlight that could be illusory.

Seated on a gracefully carved wooden chair with intricate patterns, her posture was one of graceful poise.

In her delicate, porcelain hands, she held a small, exquisitely painted porcelain teapot, its surface adorned with vibrant cherry blossoms and serene mountainscapes. With measured grace, she poured steaming hot, highly dense spirit water from a matching teapot, its spout resembling a mythical dragon's head, into a tiny, meticulously crafted tea cup.

Her movements were fluid and unhurried, almost as though it was a reflection of her deep understanding of the mysteries of the world.

"World Master…"

When Myria's voice fell, Davis's heart clenched even more.

He certainly didn't expect to be pulled in right now, confusing him a bit, but since the person before him works in mysterious ways beyond his knowledge, he wasn't surprised or shocked. However, the fact that this person brought him and Myria here could mean only one thing.

"Did you summon us to take what's rightfully yours?"

Davis raised his hand and scratched his head, appearing exhausted as he felt like he had enough today.

From some selfless beauties who presumably came from the future to Clara's situation and now, everything vexed him. If it weren't for Shea's baby Sheria, he might be enraged like an idiot instead of being able to maintain his calm.

He wondered why World Master would summon them. He could imagine if the World Master didn't summon him to send him out of the realm, then she summoned him to take Fallen Heaven away or even rid him of it because if he got any stronger, then he might be able to counter the World Master with Fallen Heaven.

So before that could happen, she may have decided to make the pre-emptive move and bring him here.

Naturally, Myria could derive this speculation on her own as well. She still had her eyes narrowed, having some trepidation in her heart.

However, she went on one knee, cupping her hands.

"This gesture is to respect your act of saving me back then, no matter your intentions. Your grace saved me and allowed me to have a chance at life again, for my physique is cursed."

Davis glanced at Myria and knew what she meant.

She always encountered one calamity or another, according to Myria, so she had to resort to extreme measures to end the life of many of her incarnations. The burden of committing those deeds was unknown, but he knew it certainly wasn't less.

"Well," Davis spread his hands, "… if we're going to thank the World Master, I must say that I'm also deeply indebted. If you want to collect the debt, fine by me. However, add Myria's debt to my head as well and collect it. Then, I wouldn't have a problem."

"You-"

Myria turned to glare at him when the World Master's voice resounded again.

"No need for any appreciation. Please take your seats and drink some tea."

They turned to look at her, eying each other from the corner of their eyes again before Myria stood up and strode forward. Davis overtook her and walked in front of her, causing Myria to feel some warmth, but she still tried to walk in front of him.

Their tag only lasted for a few moments before they walked up the pagoda canopy and sat on the two other wooden chairs.

She had black hair as though she had no bloodline. Her face was veiled, only revealing her extraordinary eyes, dark and mysterious like the night sky, held a wisdom that transcended time as if she communed with the mystical nature of the universe.

As she poured the fragrant tea, the liquid flowed like a clear mountain stream, and the aroma filled the pagoda with notes of delicate flowers and earthy undertones. Her fingers moved gracefully as she offered the cup to Myria.

Myria grasped the cup with both her hands, and Davis also did the same when he was handed the teacup, intentionally keeping his hands as restricted as possible since he didn't want to accidentally touch World Master's fingers and ruin what may seem to be hospitality.

He glanced down and looked at the aromatic tea, wondering if it contained a boon, a poison, or even a problematic seed.

Nevertheless, Davis felt like he was stuck in a state of serenity and timeless elegance.

This whole thing was too much for him to process, much less making him want to share a drink with the World Master. A sense of heavy pressure lingered on him, although it didn't particularly seem like the World Master released her aura.

They sat like that, not drinking, not speaking, not making eye contact for a few minutes, although the World Master simply took her time to sip the tea in minute amounts every few seconds before she finally placed the teacup on the table.

Davis and Myria also placed the cup on the table. It was still full, appearing to become colder with the cool breeze brushing past them, evoking an eerie chill in their souls.

"First things first. World Master, I'm so glad that you're a woman. Otherwise, I could've become hostile to you."

The two of them had many thoughts going on in their minds, wondering what kind of question they should ask and what kind of response they would be given, trying to be as cordial as possible, but his first words made Myria want to beat him up.

Davis raised his head and gazed at the World Master. Her veil was opaque, so there was no way he could see her facial features, but she looked into the distance, seemingly dwelling in her own thoughts before she turned to look at him.

"I know you have good self-control as you can reject something that feels good to use, having absolute authority yet refusing to use it because of the consequences, but your obsession towards women is quite the conundrum. Do you truly not fear consequences if it was for your women?" came a string of melodious undertones from the World Master.

"Of course not. I fear the consequences every second, but what's the use of considering when it's a do-or-die moment...?"

Davis raised his brows, appearing to be contemplative as he held his chin, "I understand what you're trying to ask, like how I survived with the so-called Grimoire of Fate with such a mindset when many others couldn't, but let's just say, that it was merely a part of my luck. There's not much to ponder on when it comes to that."

"I see." The World Master responded, her eyes closing for a moment before they opened.

"Davis Loret or— should I say, Tian Long? Whatever your name is, I tried to trace your origin since you're in my world but realized that you don't have any lives before your life as Tian Long, which makes me believe you're an outsider who sealed his own memories or, rather, completely erased them in order to infiltrate my First Haven World to obtain this world. Depending on your answer to my next question, you may find yourself alive or dead after leaving this place."

"…!"

Davis smiled, but Myria severely trembled, standing up as she smacked the table.

"Wait a minute...!"
