She knew that Shirley was the most worried about Clara right now, so she took it upon herself to safeguard the children along with Niera in case anything were to happen. After she left, a few minutes later, Evelynn, Ellia, and Logan walked out.
Ellia carried Tia on her back. The latter's eyes seemed to be swollen as she seemed to have cried herself out, but everyone looked at Evelynn, waiting for her answer.
"For now, we have sealed Clara's cultivation and locked her within the chamber because… it seems that she's not returning to her natural self…"
Evelynn's tone was somber, but she didn't avert her gaze, "This blunder, I will take responsibility."
Shirley and the others could see Evelynn tremble ever so lightly.

"Big sister, don't be so emotional. It's not good for the babies." Shirley consoled as she walked forward and held Evelynn's hand, "Calm yourself first and explain to us what happened."
"That's right. Calm yourself first." Natalya also spoke, her expression rather solemn than goofy.
Evelynn exhaled a bit as she felt a bit moved. However, the fact that they were not blaming her only made her feel more guilty. Eventually, after taking some rest, she eventually explained the course of events, describing how she used Decay Laws to siphon life out from Clara's soul and then mended the dried-up soul with Hex Laws, successfully weakening the physique and sealing foreign influences by stitching her with Hex Laws.
