Chapter 3233 Towards The Last Hurdle

After coming to a consensus with the prisoners, Davis spent two days simply hunting for more treasures, feeding Calypsea, and having the prisoners venture out into the nearby regions of the central region, making them search for treasures in return for more flexibility in their movements.

Basically, he used them as free labor, and their rate of gathering treasures was particularly high since their natural and wild senses were more capable of discovering resources. They were magical beasts, after all. Just their sense of smell would come in handy when encountering resources of their attribute.

In the end, the result paid off, and he accumulated more treasures and even heavenly resources.

"This…"

Sophie tallied all the resources and looked at Davis, a wry smile emerging on her face.

"We have more than enough resources for every one of us to reach the Late Immortal Emperor Stage and even bring the entire Reaper Soul Legion to the peak of the Immortal Emperor Stage."

"Thought so."

Davis perfunctorily answered.

Just a day ago, he romanced, flirted, and made love with Lea for a few hours while going out to feed Calypsea.

Returning, he brought Dalila to a cave and did her until she screamed in fright when a rock fell and revealed an inheritance statue that was merely of Early Immortal Emperor Grade, having nothing to do with alchemy or forging but sword arts of unknown quality, which they felt would be a good souvenir to Tanya but then continued to shake their hips like rabbits again.

Nonetheless, those wonderful and pleasurable moments still put him in a spell, making him glare at Sophie.

"…"

Sophie's cheeks reddened, "It's almost time."

"I… guess so…"

Davis nodded his head and looked away into the direction of the central region as news that the veil concealing the realm concoction venue came down. Everyone made it to the core region, and even he hurried towards it as he sent his soul body first since he was being intimate with Lea and feeding Calypsea at that time, but it turned out that there were more barriers being released one by one, making him continue his plundering activities.

But now, eight veils had already been lifted, and it was theorized the lifting of the ninth veil would signify the start of the realm concoction. It was from the speculation that the veils were connected to the formation below that gathered all the apocalyptic flames within the realm, so the fact that the veils were coming down one by one meant that the formation was almost finished gathering the apocalyptic flames required to concoct the pill.

At least, that was what he, Myria, Tina, and Dalila managed to theorize while the other heavenly geniuses seemed to be concluding.

Davis briefly also had a meeting with the Astral Pill Upper Realm and Forgeheart Peak Upper Realm's disciples. They wanted him not to near the realm concoction in exchange for a few resources at the Empyrean Grade, but whether he would follow that or not was all up to himself.

Their sincerity was as good as the fact they sent their soul bodies to negotiate, or perhaps they were simply afraid that they would lose their lives or get robbed again. Either way, he didn't care, as he intended to get the realm pill no matter what.

They even cited that he was a calamity and would cause the realm concoction to fail even with all the luck gathered, but he only laughed at that as the amount of karmic virtue he plundered from the captured geniuses and the karmic sin he was planning to plunder from the prisoners already reached tier three!

Furthermore, he was even roundabout or sneaky in his usage of Karmicseizer so that they wouldn't notice he took their karmic nature, only taking around ten to fifteen percent from the Empyreal Monarchs.

He was already a man of so many mysteries and ridiculousness as he could use life and death energy as well as have three types of heavenly attributes, not to mention chaos energy, so he didn't want to expose that he could rid people of their karmic nature as well, at least, not at this point.

Moreover, he already theorized that if he took all their karmic nature, then they might lose their luck as well, which would also pop unseen bubbles in fate which would end who knows where, so each action he took from the moment he captured the Monarchs to now was met with careful consideration from him, right from how to treat them to how to torture them but not still break their Wills.

Even though he looked carefree and enjoyed the meager time with his beauties, he was still on high alert, finally willing to head to the last stage where everything depended on four women from his family, turning to look at Bylai, Tina, Dalila, and Sophie.

They were personally tutored by Myria the last two days when they were not with him, and she even imbued a fragment of her consciousness in them, which might help them during the right time if they triggered it, although it would only last a day at the most since if it lasted for more time, it might have more of bad influence on their luck.

"Let's go."

Everyone was ready at a moment's notice, so within a few minutes, they regrouped and all started making their way towards the central region with Davis as the lead.

The twelve Immortal Emperor Beasts also accompanied them, but after Davis and the others entered the inner region, they were unable to follow as a barrier stopped them from passing through, seemingly reacting to the sealing runes etched onto their bodies.

"Alright, be good, and if things go south, fly away."

"Wait! What about our soul seals?"

The Phantom Gaze Cobra screamed out in worry while the other magical beast prisoners also appeared worried.

Soundlessly, Davis and Myria spent some time unraveling the Phantom Gaze Cobra's soul seal. When the seal became undone, he danced around and even adopted his magical beast serpent form as he slithered and hissed, appearing delighted beyond compare.

"Emperor of Death, we…"

The Three-Headed Hydra from the group appeared like he was going to cry as he had three souls, which would make it extremely complicated to unseal him.

However, Davis merely panned his gaze and opened his mouth, "As for the others, stay here until we make it back. Otherwise, you can still leave with a leash attached to your soul."

"Don't fool around!" The Variant Dark Dragon roared, "Leaving like this is essentially leaving us to our deaths, no different from being chained to this place."

Davis turned his head and seemly stared at the jet-black-haired man in a dark robe, simply glaring at him that their standoff between their gazes lasted for a few seconds before the jet-black-haired man eventually lowered his head.

"Understood… but you should release me first when you come back!"

He suppressed a growl, causing Davis to open his mouth.

"I promised you all your freedom, and by breaking the chains, I already guaranteed your exit from this realm, so I owe you all nothing more, nothing less. Everything else depends on your ability to hide and escape from the elders who might come besieging this place after the realm concoction ends."

Davis indifferently spoke, adding further, "When I have time to spare upon my return, I will release you all from the soul seals. If not, I wish you all good luck."

He turned around, heading into the inner region with his people, leaving behind a confused and also pissed bunch of magical beast prisoners who didn't know what action to take.

To leave and wait in the furthest corners of the realm in order to make a quick exit? Or to wait here for him to return?

They couldn't help but turn to look at the Lunar Blackclaw Rabbit and saw her remain unmoving, appearing to have chosen to wait for him despite having no use for him anymore as she got rid of the chains and the soul seal while they knew that he couldn't shatter the runic seals placed on their bodies.

"Interesting… do you all remember what I said?"

The Phantom Gaze Cobra's gaze flashed slyly.

"You want to head to the lawless Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm together?" A solemn voice resounded from a purple-haired individual.

He was none other than the Thunderhoof Sky Ox, his lips moving again, "Do you think we can even make it that far before we're apprehended again and executed?"

"Well, yes, but I changed my mind." The Phantom Gaze Cobra chuckled, "I'm going to wait for him here and see what kind of result he achieves in this so-called realm concoction's pill that's apparently said to be able to increase one's prowess by leaps and bounds, as much as what would be bestowed when a lifeform binds the realm core to themselves."

"Oh…?"

"It's not only that, as I heard that-"

Everyone turned interested while the Phantom Gaze Cobra decided to tell them more about what he had heard of the realm pill's otherworldly effects from the Monarchs who were crossing the bridge for the first time.
