Chapter 3230 Captive Exchange

The Transcendents made their way to the southern bridge where the Emperor of Death had established himself from the start to the end, having never moved as though he owned that location. Most of them had solemn looks on their faces, some pissed and some curious as they had yet to meet this so-called menace, only having heard stories about him.

Surviving the onslaught of half of the Empyreal Monarchs in this realm?

Taming an Apocalyptic Flame Spirit as though it was the stuff from legends?

He even managed to release a prisoner from the chains that even an average Peak-Level Sovereign wouldn't be able to break?

Nothing about his achievements was believable, yet the Empyreal Monarchs who fought him, especially Rath Heavenshade, declared that he was unbeatable at the same level, getting rid of most of their doubt, now wanting to see with their own eyes as to who he really was.

The Monarchs congregated at the southern bridge, looking at him casually standing at the forefront as he seemed to be absorbed in something with his eyes closed. When he opened his eyes, which were as dazzling as the ocean, they saw his gaze fall on the Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm's Dawnbreaker Family.

"So you're the Emperor of Death?"

Asked a brown-robed man with purple and white stripes on various parts of his robe. His hair was reddish-brown, making him appear quite intimidating, especially with his sword-like eyebrows.

"I heard you used Enigmatic Heart Laws to steal the Celestial Luminescence Pill from Lest Mistwalker, but more importantly, also have the title of 'Divine', is that true?"

The title 'Divine' was a forbidden word since it was used to address a deity-like existence worshiped by billions or even trillions. Even Monarchs wouldn't be able to withstand the karmic burden from it, but it seems like the Emperor of Death was fine with it.

"So you are Charles Dawnbreaker."

Davis gazed at that brown-robed man before nodding perfunctorily, "Well, I have indeed comprehended Enigmatic Heart Laws, but you're wrong about stealing because everyone knows Lest Mistwalker gifted me the Celestial Luminescence Pill, not to mention the Forgeheart Peak Upper Realm's Forging Inheritance. Isn't that right, Mistwalkers?"

"…"

"Hmm?"

"Yes…"

Lambert Mistwalker trembled. One of his legs was missing from the knee, and he also seemed to lack an eyeball. He had a sorry appearance and seemed to shudder upon hearing Davis's voice, a sign of trauma.

On the other side, the expressions of the Monarchs twitched as they knew what really went on.

However, to twist the truth and even make the victim admit to it while not letting anyone say otherwise, they really wanted to clap their hands for this feat.

"There's 'Divine' in my title as well, but it belongs to another world. There's no need to call me that or I will become embarrassed, especially when you're all kind and magnanimous enough to keep giving me gifts…"

Davis appeared unabashed, but the Monarchs were unamused.

"Emperor of Death, I heard you spared the Fire Phoenix Lower Realm's Auraflame Clan. For that reason, I'm willing to turn a blind eye to your existence here. However, to be releasing the prisoners who are meant to be executed today, you are going too far."

A golden-robed man spoke in a solemn voice, causing Davis to look at him.

Judging by the clothes, he saw that this man was from the Seven-Colored Phoenix Upper Realm's Skytune Clan, becoming truly interested as he wanted to research their souls as well as their nirvanic energy, which was said to be topnotch.

"There's no need to talk your way out of this, as we already received reports that you released the Phantom Gaze Cobra and Lunar Blackclaw Rabbit."

The Skytune Clan's leader added, causing Davis to shrug.

"Now then-"

He spread his hands, a bright smile appearing on his face, "I won't force anyone, as battling is also good. Those who want to retrieve their fellow disciples can naturally exchange them for resources, while those who want to fight are welcome as well. However, I won't be holding back anymore, and escape is-"

"…!"

The Monarchs suddenly went stiff as they went into battle mode, their energies summoning as they saw two giant heads pop up from the sides of the bridge. Those two heads belonged to none other than the Phantom Gaze Cobra and the Lunar Blackclaw Rabbit, their bloodthirsty eyes gleaming at them.

However, their stiffness turned into limpness when they saw more heads rise from the sides of the bridge, even all the way back, as the magical beast prisoners completely surrounded them.

To their left were the Lunar Blackclaw Rabbit, Space Gnawing Rat, Thunderhoof Ox, Four-Winged Emberstripe Tiger, and the Dark Dragon, which looked at them from the back with wide eyes and a sinister smile.

To their right was the Phantom Gaze Cobra, Obsidian Lightning Kirin, Pelagic Serenity Turtle, Three-Headed Hydra, Wind Phoenix, Azuretail Shadow Wolf, and an Illusory Sunshade Fox.

They were huge, massive entities that just their eyes alone adorned the sides of the bridge, looking at them with a severe thirst for blood and revenge. With the chains no longer sealing them, every single one of them was capable of using their energy to slaughter them in an instant.

"What was I saying?

Davis rubbed his chin before he appeared like he remembered something, "Yeah, escape is futile…"

"Are you crazy? You released evil entities upon this world. No, you truly are an Anarchic Divergent, bringing death and suffering no matter where you go!"

The Empyreal Monarch of the Skytune Clan roared.

"Why can't we just kill them?"

"Tasty feys…. It's been so long since I ate them…"

Abruptly, an annoyed voice resounded, followed by a greedy voice. Both appeared to be rough voices as they came from the Azuretail Shadow Wolf and the Illusory Sunshade Fox; one bored out of its mind while the other seemed to practically drool as it had its fox tongue out like a dog.

It caused the Monarchs to be given a fright as the Illusory Sunshade Fox's limb actually slipped past the barrier of the bridge, its claws fondly nudging a female Kingly Monarch who seemed to have gone stiff beyond compare as though she knew if she made a move, she was going to get severed into two without a doubt.

"You-! Cease this madness at once!"

Charles Dawnbreaker turned around and yelled at Davis, causing the latter to appear contemplative before he reached his hand out.

"Where's my gifts?
