Chapter 3225 Captives

The sound of chains shattered the silence as Bylai quickly chained up all the Empyreal Monarchs and Kingly Monarchs, sealing all their cultivation while they were still unconscious. Some managed to awaken, but they were shocked to find out they couldn't surge with energy as much as they wanted to.

However, some Empyreal Monarchs seemed like they were going to escape when an additional seal was placed upon them, with Myria casting spirit formation seals all over them again, leaving them furious.

"You-!"

They realized they were being taken hostages instead of being killed. To geniuses, it was even more humiliating as they could die but not be humiliated. Their Wills surged along with their soul force, trying to break Myria's spirit formation seals and shake her Will, but she coldly glared at them, causing them to shudder in her presence.

They couldn't pinpoint where her audacity was coming from, but the killing intent she revealed was genuine, making them feel that she was a slaughterer, just like that Anarchic Divergent.

She gave them vibes that she wouldn't hesitate to kill them.

"My, my~ The other five Empyreal Monarchs are all charred, but if I'm right, they belong to Saffron Harmony Upper Realm's Mistral Family, Forgeheart Peak Upper Realm, Radiant Blossom Upper Realm's Moonsmile Family."

Fairy Thunderblaze looked as though she couldn't wait to devour them for making her injure herself. She raised her hand, lightning and flames crackling together, causing the chained and sealed ones to shudder.

"Wait…!"

Liam Moonsmile yelled out, his charred face revealing a gruesome smile as he revealed his white teeth.

"We can talk about this-ahh!"

Fairy Thunderblaze unleashed an annihilative lightning bolt that targeted Liam Moonsmile's head. It was small and thin, but it unleashed enough damage to cause Liam Moonsmile to shake his head like he had a seizure.

"Whatever it is— none of you prisoners get to negotiate~"

Fairy Thunderblaze looked at what was once a white-robed man who was now but a sorry, charred excuse of a gentleman. His robe was surprisingly still intact with its starry moon symbols, a testament to the grade of the robe he wore, but in the end, it was still torn by her attacks, making her feel prideful as she managed to unleash a powerful attack that brought down these geniuses while Myria's Divine Technique almost exhausted them to death even though they were still full of energy, leaving them defenseless before finally sealed.

They were highly vulnerable with little to no means to counterattack, making her also eye Bylai as she didn't expect her to become this powerful in a short amount of time.

Nonetheless, she turned to look at the Monarchs in the distance, her crimson eyes flashing with a cold light.

"You can try to retrieve your teammates or fellow transcendents, but don't blame us if it ends in their deaths."

Rath Heavenshade still kept staring at them, along with the others who survived or never came close enough to fall into the trap. But still, the crimson-purple-robed woman's words provoked them, wanting to show who she was exactly dealing with, but they hesitated as there was a chance that their fellow cultivators could really die in this forsaken, collapsing world.

In fact, they could easily tell they were out of energy.

Unlike the others, Rath Heavenshade didn't even put Fairy Thunderblaze in his eyes despite the power she had shown.

Would the result have been different if he had gone all out?

Would he and a few strong others manage to best the white-robed woman who seemed to be full of surprises?

Why did he feel like she was still hiding something? Perhaps even the ones behind her might surprise him with overwhelming force. He- no, they could never know unless they tried battling them again.

But more than all that, he was wary of the true menace behind these women as he felt like he could return at any moment now.

<nullb>*Whoosh!~*

But at this sudden moment, Taus Serpenzal from the Emperor Cobra Upper Realm had his eyes wide. He turned to look towards the serpent sector, feeling a sense of foreboding. He had barely managed to escape in time from that dreamscape of ten thousand deaths, that Divine Technique still casting temporary shadows over his heart, so he imagined that it was just his imagination.

"Where are you looking at?"

But suddenly, a sarcastic voice echoed from his side, causing his serpent pupils to dilate.

A hand abruptly caught him in a choke hold, causing him to gawk as he was lifted up. His eyes caught sight of a purple-robed man whose upper body was naked, his skin flawless, possessing a fit body while his purple hair swayed in the air.

"Ahahaha! Never would I have imagined that I would be able to hold a Kingly Emperor Cobra Fey like this!"

"!!!"

Many Empyreal Monarchs shot back into the distance as they also experienced the same sense of foreboding.

"You-!"

Taus Serpenzal struggled under the choke hold of the purple-haired man, his heart shuddering as he came to realize this was the Phantom Gaze Cobra, but how!?

His brain didn't have the time or luxury to figure out that, causing him to unwittingly release his King-Tier aura and roar in fury.

"Let me go, peasant!"

Despite the higher cultivation, the purple-haired man's gaze shook as his hand inevitably loosened, causing Taus Serpenzal to almost come out of the hold on his own, but the purple-haired man's gaze churned, his expression overcome with the fury that he bottled up for half a million years.

"No one— absolutely no one speaks to me like that!"

The purple-haired man clenched Taus Serpenzal's throat tightly with enough force to behead him with his bare hand, but all that effort and power only caused him to hold Taus Serpenzal tightly as he rammed him into the ledge.

<nullb>*Bang!~*

Taus Serpenzal's head was smacked against the ledge as he was thrown into the fiery abyss below before the purple-haired man instantly turned to look at a purple-robed man who was floating in the air along with a cutesy little girl who held that man's hand.

"Except, of course, you— my benefactor."

He cupped his hands, his tone changing one-eighty when faced with Davis.

Davis was speechless, but he turned to look at his people, looking at the dangers they would have gone through to have captured so many Empyreal Monarchs and Kingly Monarchs. His eyes squinted in anger when he heard a shout.

"You… what did- what did you do!?"

Ralaza Heavenshade roared, causing Davis to turn to look at her.

She seemed to be dumbfounded, her brother Rath Heavenshade holding her from the back of her robe as he seemed to have pulled her back from death's door.

"Can't you tell? I released a prisoner since everyone likes to kill me."

"..."

His words were like the bells of calamity ringing in their ears, entirely justifying what they were trying to do to him, but was there any chance they brought it on themselves...?
