"A Four-Eyed Dark Dragon…"

Davis saw the standoff between Fairy Thunderblaze and the Dark Dragon, his brows twitching because he found this was a Variant Dark Dragon. It was obvious from the looks of it, but he also couldn't help but be taken back by its imposing stature and the sheer magnitude of its size.

They were like a speck of dust in front of it as they were not even its razor-sharp tooth's size. Its body was covered in thick, jet-black scales that shimmered with an eerie iridescence in the dim light. The scales appeared almost metallic, reflecting hints of obsidian and emerald green when the light hit them just right. These scales were not uniform in size; they ranged from small, overlapping ones near the dragon's snout to larger, more jagged plates along its back.

Its head was massive enough to cover the entire space they were standing over and adorned with a series of sharp horns that extended backward from its crown. Its eyes, though similar in shape to those of the serpent, had a more intense and fiery glow, with slitted pupils that seemed to radiate an otherworldly intelligence.

Its wings stretched wide showcased a membrane of leathery skin that connected to elongated, bony fingers, allowing it to glide gracefully through the air although it was now suspended in the air beside them, glaring at Fairy Thunderblaze with its menacing eyes.

They couldn't see anything below but knew its body was colossal enough to appear like a mountain if it crouched.

"Fine, you got some speed, little girl. Next time, I won't be as merciful as I was-

"Huh? Do I hear the words of a loser?"

The Variant Dark Dragon spoke in a firm voice, befitting of its stature, but then a serpent's sarcastic voice resounded.

"Phantom Gaze Cobra, you want to fight!?"

The Variant Dark Dragon roared as it turned to look at the serpent, the shockwaves from its voice causing the air to turn like wind blades, making the surroundings extremely dangerous, but despite its enormous power, the bridge was unharmed and occasionally glowed with a golden light that protected them from its massive powers.

If the sheer loudness in their voice wasn't also suppressed by the barrier, perhaps their heads might've exploded.

Therefore, Fairy Thunderblaze, who stood right in front of the dragon on the long and wide bridge, didn't even take a bit of damage. She raised her hand and wiped the blood off her face, revealing her gorgeous face from the side, causing the men to be thoroughly stunned, allowing them to know why she was said to be more than capable of entering the ranks of Celestial Fairies.

Fairy Mei Novara and Fairy Aila Cherryweave's gaze shook, not because of her beauty but her bravery that they felt like they couldn't emanate or even imitate. She was facing the extremely powerful dragon even though there could be a minute chance the barrier might not work for a single second.

After all, what did they know about this place?

"Oh?" The Variant Dark Dragon finally noticed Davis and the others, "We have newcomers? The previous group of heavenly geniuses seemed to be carrying a burden of weak immortals, but this group is quite relaxed and-"

Suddenly, it went quiet, its overwhelming gaze remaining on Davis as it looked at him with scrutiny.

The Phantom Gaze Cobra also looked at him, its giant serpent eyes narrowing.

"…"

Davis's group was frozen stiff, but he himself walked towards Fairy Thunderblaze and casually hit up a conversation.

"I thought you already ran back to the spatial vortex, but here you are, braving dangers at the most unexpected of places. I'm truly impressed."

Fairy Thunderblaze turned her body towards him and took a step back, her eyes narrowing as she tried to keep her distance from him, causing Davis to chuckle.

"What? Are you still hung up on that matter? I forgot about it long ago. After all, you're still my benefactor, aren't you?"

"…"

Fairy Thunderblaze stared at him in a bewildered manner, almost making Davis laugh out loud.

Clearly, she was on the edge, tensed beyond compare, probably from using up too much energy to escape from the Variant Dark Dragon. In fact, her undulations hadn't calmed yet and even showed signs of weakening despite throttling it to escape from him, which meant she used some kind of sacrificial escape art to flee.

Davis shrugged without hearing her response.

"Well, if you don't believe me, that's fine. I'll let that matter slide for exchanging information about this place and what you accomplished. Particularly, I'm interested to know what kind of resource you stole from this Variant Dark Dragon's jaws."

Fairy Thunderblaze's eyes flickered, her lips finally curling as though she could now believe he would let her go in exchange for the information.

"Brat, you talk big. Are you also a Divergent like her to be talking to her like you're infallible?"

However, a booming voice resounded, causing the space to tremble and making everyone turn to look at the Variant Dark Dragon.

Davis cupped his hand towards the dragon and the serpent before spreading his hands.

"Seniors, I can see that you two have astute eyes. Yes, I'm an Anarchic Divergent. If you get involved with me, nothing good will happen."

"Pfft! Ahahaha!" The Variant Dark Dragon suddenly burst out laughing, "That… is the funniest thing I ever heard in the last few century millenniums."

"Brat, do we look like we're in a position to avoid a calamity like you?"

The Phantom Gaze Cobra hissed, its split tongue waving in the air, "We're going to die here, burned alive by the apocalyptic flames, so it doesn't matter if we rattle a beehive or an Anarchic Divergent. To us, the end result is the same, although if we obtain karmic luck from killing an Anarchic Divergent, it makes me wonder if we might have a chance at freedom again, so come on, step out of the bridge. There are many heavenly resources on my side that would even make Sovereigns covetous."

It chucked in a sinister manner.

"No. Don't go to his side."

However, the Variant Dark Dragon's firm voice swiftly boomed out.

"This little girl clearly is intelligent and chose my side to venture in search of resources. Come here, and you will be blessed with incredible treasures that you wouldn't even be able to dream of."

"…"

Davis's brows twitched as he saw them smile in expectation. He was speechless.

Was he a child to be fooled with a few heavenly treasures?

"Sigh…"

Fairy Thunderblaze finally circulated her energy to recover as she opened her mouth, "Each quarter of the bridges in the outer circle holds a magnificent treasure of the Empyrean or Autarch Grade as the transcendents would say it, totaling twelve. However, I would advise-"

"What? Empyrean Grade Treasures!?"

Davis jumped before looking at the dark dragon, pointing his finger, "Hey, you dragon! If you can move a few kilometers away and make some space for me to enter, I'll take you up on your offer."

"…"

"…"

"…"

Needless to say, the dragon, the serpent, and the people around him were utterly speechless when they heard his words, failing to react.
