Chapter 3207 Towards The Central Region

"…"

The sight they saw was no ocean but a vast chasm.

It appeared like a man-made landscape that stretched all over the central region.

After all, there were countless islands in front of them aligned at a fixed radius, whose depths couldn't be seen. Perhaps they were floating islands, as evidence suggested that they were the case, with titanic chains piercing through these islands from the edge they were standing before, presumably holding them in place from falling or having some other function.

"A grand formation…"

Myria also became unfocused from the topic they were discussing because of the vast chasm before her. However, she seemed to be able to recognize what it was in an instant.

Her words made the gazes of everyone flicker as they recalled the gist of the realm concoction.

Concocting a pill made out of the core of a realm using the body of the realm as the cauldron and the apocalyptic flames as the cauldron flame. If that was the case, then they could very well imagine what it would be like beneath the chasm, and the heat emerging from it also gave them an idea, causing them to shiver ever so lightly.

Davis also hissed as he sucked in a cold breath, although it was hot.

He knew they were going to tread into the outer circle of the central region. However, he didn't know how big this region was. If he took the land area of the Grand Beginnings Continent into account, then it could be easily twice or even thrice the size, yet such a huge land area was specifically carved until the depths of the realm and made it resemble the elongated curvature of a cauldron's inside.

'Perhaps the islands are specific nodes bound together by chains to allow the flow of energy to be concentrated at the center where the realm pill is going to be made from the core…'

But still-

"The Grand Beginnings Continent's grand formation or this… which of the two is better?"

Davis asked Myria as he glanced at her.

"The Grand Beginnings Continent."

But Myria answered swiftly with no hesitation, "This realm concoction formation is ultimately a contrivance to gather apocalyptic flames at the center of the realm to be used as the cauldron flames while the islands spread through the central region in all six directions of a circle acts as the containment, making them the body of the cauldron, so even though it is said the body of the cauldron is the realm, probably only a few percent of the land is taken advantage of while the rest couldn't be used.

"Therefore, in terms of range, defense, and overall features, it far outclasses the Fifty-Two Territories Formation due to its grade, but in terms of intricacies, it loses out, but not so far off that I would consider it to be hopelessly far."

She gave a well-informed response, causing Davis and a few others to nod in astonishment, wondering who exactly etched this formation into place.

Just standing before the chasm gave them the feeling that the world in front of them was unfathomable. There was no telling what was awaiting them when they stepped into the core area of the central region where every heavenly genius was currently making their way.

Moreover-

"If at all a chance for evacuation exists for the heavenly geniuses of the true immortal world, it would be at the core area. Let's go."

Davis sighed as he took a step forward, but suddenly, Myria raised her hand to stop him, even glaring at him.

"What?" Davis blinked.

Had he done something to anger her?

"You should consider everything before you step into the central region."

However, Myria heaved a breath and lowered her hand before turning to look into the distance.

"Myria, you should know well that the hope to survive after the realm concoction all lies in the central region. If we don't go there-"

"Do you honestly think that if their seniors arrive, they are going to save us even if we concocted the pill? Besides, concocting the pill wouldn't be easy as the full force of the transcendents would be present there. With your presence within their ranks, they finally may not be able to hold themselves back and besiege you with their full force, even using Divine Techniques, which means fighting to the death. At that time, blood would be sure to flow."

"You mean on their side?" Davis chuckled, causing Myria to go silent.

She unwittingly curled her lips in delight behind her veil but still adopted a stern attitude.

"Yes, but if blood flowed on their side, then their elders would not evacuate us. Even holding hostages would prove to be useless at that point…"

"…"

Davis pursed his lips. It wasn't like he hadn't thought about that, having a few measures he could think of to maneuver that situation. But if nothing works-

"Can't we just run back to the entrance to the First Haven World…?"

Davis showed his teeth, causing Myria to clench her fists and fume as she raised her hands.

"How? When we complete the realm concoction by some miracle, the realm will already be on the brink of complete incineration. It would be fully encased in apocalyptic flames, burning for a few decades before everything turns into ashes as the remains float in empty space before returning to the cycle. Forget the decades after fully being encased in apocalyptic flames, we wouldn't even be able to survive the poisonous fumes from the apocalyptic flames for a few hours. You tell me how exactly we would make it to the spatial vortex within that time frame. If we don't-"

"So cute…"

"You…" Myria's ears reddened as she saw his mesmerized expression, causing her to drop her hands and flick her sleeve as she looked away, "Besides, the spatial vortex could've already been destroyed by the apocalyptic flames at that time. You can be playful but not this foolish-"

"That's not happening."

Davis shook his head, causing Myria to return her gaze to him in surprise.

"…?"

"The entrance would be guarded by someone, someone who knows best why they brought you to their world."

"…"

Davis shrugged. His mannerisms made Myria want to berate him for having such misplaced belief in that person, but she also thought the same, causing her to sigh.

"Even so… do you think such a person would deign to save the others, your loved ones?"

"…"

Davis turned speechless. Indeed, even if the World Master deigned to save him and Myria, would such a person go out of their way to save the others?

He felt the answer was most likely no, causing him to understand this was why Myria was asking him to reconsider a few matters.

"Perhaps you should all evacuate right now."

He turned around, wryly smiling at his beauties.

"No!"

"We'll follow you anywhere, even if death awaits us."

Sophie and Bylai appeared adamant.

"Besides, you know how important our knowledge is for the realm concoction." Tina wryly smiled.

Their response made Davis's brows twitch.

He certainly could accommodate them all in his life ring, but there was no telling what could happen during the chaotic situation, so Myria's words only snuffed the flames in him, making him become more cautious. After all, she was telling the truth while he thought he could do something about it when the time came, adopting a confident attitude even though he had little to no plan.

But with his loved ones remaining adamant while he needed their help for the realm concoction no matter what, there was no other choice than to take them.

Davis turned to look further back and saw the other disciples were basically waiting to say that they would follow him to the death with their eyes gleaming, causing him to not even want to ask.

He turned around, sighing lightly.

"Fine. We crossed so many hurdles to arrive at this point, so just going back without taking the main prize would be a stain on our legends. Let's go!"

"Yes!!!"

Davis turned around and waved his hand from the back to the front, causing numerous voices of excitement to echo as they began to follow him.

Myria smilingly shook her head. She just wanted to know their determination as they could finally die inside, but it seemed like she cared too much. She inwardly sighed, feeling like it was just as Bing Luli said that she had become too considerate nowadays.

Nonetheless, she also followed him.

"So, where is your creation?"

Davis pointed in the western direction.

"It's a bit behind us, but moving towards the central region, and would probably reach one of the bridges within a few hours. If we go straight, we could probably meet up somewhere along the way as all bridges should converge towards the central area if that is where the venue of the realm concoction is present."

"I see. So, it decided to follow the highest source of apocalyptic flames that was being gathered for the realm concoction. What a glutton… If you don't stop it, perhaps it might be the end of us all..."

Myria shook her head, but her eyes gleamed, wondering exactly what kind of spirit it had turned into!
