Chapter 3169 Second Challenge

Having nothing else to do, Davis waited along with the others.

Suddenly, he had some strange thoughts to provoke Myria, except in an intimate way, but he didn't want to act on it as he was already getting late in obtaining the Celestial Luminescence Pill. Perhaps, if he tried to fool around, it might never be caught in his hands.

*Whoosh!~*

After five minutes, they were transported to another chamber. No one was there, causing them to walk further and go down a flight of steps. They crossed two sets of steps before appearing on the chamber below. Unlike the floor above, many cultivators were present.

"…!"

Once they saw Davis, they reacted cautiously, every one of them turning towards him, unwilling to show their backs as they radiated their undulations as though attempting to intimidate him. There were as many as fifty Monarchs here, all of them at Level Nine Monarch Stage, their individual prowess seven levels above at the very least.

There were even Kingly Monarchs.

Davis looked at the many faces, feeling a sense of exhaustion. By this time, he probably knew he was an Anarchic Divergent. After all, at least one of the powers would've had the chance to soulscour the Immortals of the First Haven World and learn about him, or they might've heard it from their mouths like Aric Stormsong did.

Either way, why did he have to make enemies of so many people? So many powers?

These people… no matter where they went in the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy, they would have heavy influence, but here, they were as weak as cornered beasts, only able to retaliate desperately. He wished that he could form some ties with them as it would be helpful in the future, but with him being an Anarchic Divergent, most of that route was cut off from him, leaving him to fend for himself.

"Ahh!"

Suddenly, two people came flying from the stairs at the other end of the chamber. They were about to crash, but a few people turned around and supported their backs before they could crash into the ground, asking if they were fine before receiving a reply from the ones they saved.

Davis saw that these stairs heading down again to the third floor was the challenge.

His lips curled in disdain at these challenges as he strode forward, his action causing the Transcendents to inevitably make a way, allowing him to pass through the center like he was the emperor of the wilderness. Lea and the others also followed him.

As they reached the edge of the stairs, Davis's lips moved.

"I won't attack anyone as long as they don't offend me, but of course, feel free to count your luck."

He took a step forward without looking at their offended reactions, placing his foot on the first step.

*Bzzzz!~*

Suddenly, an immense pressure fell on him. Accurately, it didn't fall on him as this pressure tried to lift him off the stairs. It came from a diagonal direction, intending to send him flying back. However, Davis wasn't moved at all as he sensed that this pressure probably couldn't even move a Heavenly Monarch.

A Heavenly Monarch was a broad term for ordinary people who didn't know how to differentiate between Heavenly Monarch, Kingly Monarch, and Empyreal Monarch, as they would never come in contact with the latter two in their lifetime. Therefore, a Heavenly Monarch could also mean Monarchs who had powers more than seven levels higher, but in the world of elites, it only denoted those who had seven levels of prowess.

The first step wasn't even able to affect a Heavenly Monarch, much less a Kingly Monarch, so Davis lifted his other leg and reached the second step easily, continuing to head down as though he was walking on normal steps.

The others followed him, stepping down the flight of stairs.

Myria didn't seem to face any discomfort on the third step, and neither did Sophie and the others. However, the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan's disciples and the other disciples from other clans began to feel like they were going against the wind, making it difficult to take a step forward.

However, Davis didn't wait for any of them.

He walked through eighteen steps like it was nothing and turned around, looking to see Myria's brows twitch at the sixteenth step. Bylai, Lea, and Nadia were also on the sixteenth step, while Sophie and her other sisters were all on the fourteenth or the thirteenth step, but as for the others, they were unable to take a step forward after the twelfth step, their expressions scrunched up into a grimace as the pressure was threatening to send them flying.

At this point, Davis knew they had reached their limit with their bodies.

No one tried to use their energy as they knew doing so might evict them, considering the challenge that intended to test their body.

*Paa~*

Davis clapped, his lips moving, "Come on. You can all make it with enough willpower. Those of you who can't make it will be whiplashed by yours truly."

"Eh?"

Bylai's expression twitched. She inadvertently took a step back as though she failed to focus, causing her to fall into the fifteenth step.

"Ahh!~"

At the twelfth step and behind, many women were sent flying above the stairs, causing them to be thrown out into the second floor's chamber.

"…"

Davis didn't know what to say.

Did his words awaken something in them? He knew Bylai and the way he shaped her, but as for the others, he truly didn't expect they would have such fantasies. Nonetheless, he reached out his hand, gesturing for Myria to take it.

Myria's gaze flashed.

Considering that they wasted time and didn't have enough time, she reached out her hand, grasping Davis's hand.

*Bzzzz!~*

Instantly, the pressure that was no longer acting on Davis resumed. Furthermore, this pressure was not the same as what Myria was feeling. In fact, it was twice the pressure, causing him to be shaken. He appeared as though he was going to fly and hit Myria, causing her to shudder as she almost lost her footing, but then suddenly pulled on her, causing her to flail and fall into his embrace, causing her eyes to widen as their lips were just inches away.

"You… you aimed for this, didn't you?"

"…"

Davis didn't say anything but looked into her eyes. However, it seemed like it was too much for Myria as she hurriedly moved from his embrace and stood to the side, appearing to look down, perhaps embarrassed.

On the other hand, Davis inwardly lampooned that he didn't get a kiss out of it.

Needless to say, he turned out, quickly grabbing his beauties' hands and the others so he could move onto the third floor faster.

Bylai was the first one to make it because of her strong body tempered by the Molten Goldcrust Core. The second was Nadia, and the third was Lea. The fourth was Sophie, and the others continued to descend. However, only his women managed to make it to the sixteenth step, where he could forcefully pull them out of the stairs.

As for the others, their limit was either the fifteenth or fourteenth step.

Niel Bladeheart, Garoe Rynn, Cyclonis Blizzara, Xerna Zenflame, Nyoran, Vereina, Fairy Mei Novara, and Fairy Aila Cherryweave were all in this category, but as for cultivators like Harlen Jadelight, Silvia Jadelight, Nuren Jadelight, Larius Goldsun and Klaze Spacewark, they couldn't even reach the ninth step.

They were too weak to be here. They had no choice but to suffer through the path down as they were thrown up numerous times or retreat.

Davis felt that it would be better if they retreated or got evicted by using their energy so that they don't come into harm after he left.

However, there was also one who was at the sixteenth step, yet he didn't still reach out with his hand to help.

"You're not going to leave me, are you?"

Fairy Thunderblaze asked melodiously as she tilted her head, causing Davis to smirk.
