"…!"

The young Transcendents reacted as though they were electrified as a terrifying chill shot across their spines.

The water from the river below splashed all over their body, leaving them drenched as it amplified their terrified experience. Their leaders, who were Kingly Monarchs, were simultaneously forced underneath the water, unable to even retaliate.

If they didn't know what this meant, then they should just forget about their ambitions and live as a servant or a subordinate to someone more ambitious than them.

'An Empyreal Monarch-level character…!'

They shuddered, quickly retreating as they gained distance from Davis.

Davis thought it was over and turned to look at Myria. However, oppressive undulations emerged from below as three figures shot up against the waterfall, rising against it before they appeared before Davis. It caused the air around them to shudder as their energies manifested around them.

Flames surged from Fairy Ruyan, moonlight drifted around Fairy Nila, and dark blue lighting raged and arced around the blue-armored man.

"Who are you?"

The blue-armored man asked in a solemn tone, "You're not from the Abandoned Immortal Lower Realm, so where are you from?"

"None of your concern. Scram before I crush your pride again. Oh, wait- give me your treasure list."

Davis's gaze changed as he stepped forward, causing the three of them to react at the same time as they charged at Davis.

Fairy Ruyan was the first to attack. Her hands moved in intricate patterns as she summoned forth a torrent of blazing flames. The flames danced and swirled around her like a living entity before hurtling towards the target.

At the same time, Fairy Nila channeled the ethereal moonlight that suddenly appeared above her head while a symbol of a crescent moon shone on her forehead. She moved with a graceful elegance, her silvery-purple robe flowing like liquid moonbeams. Moonlight tendrils emanated from her fingertips, weaving through the air like silver serpents. The moment these tendrils appeared around her, they also coiled around Davis, seeking to ensnare him in a web of illusions.

Similarly, the man, armored in blue and black, let out a thunderous roar that echoed through the landscape. Blue lightning crackled around him, charging the air with electricity. He raised his arms, and bolts of dark blue lightning shot forth like angry serpents seeking their prey.

In a split second, Davis's brows raised as he saw that they decisively sacrificed their blood essences as their faces appeared pale. He wielded his scythe, Yama, with incredible speed, deflecting some of the flames with a flick of his wrist while dodging and weaving through the blue lightning arcs. However, the sheer intensity of the illusion that was cast on him made him feel overwhelmed, causing him to backpedal to avoid the full brunt of their storm-like assault.

"Not bad…"

He had to admit that the combination of their three powers was very effective. It was as though they were a team all along.

However, who was he?

Davis felt peerless at this moment as he chuckled.

*Bzzz!~*

The three Kingly Monarchs, Fairy Ruyan, Fairy Nila, and the man clad in blue-black armor felt an overwhelming pressure bearing down on them like before, shocking them to their very core. Their spirits quivered, and their once fierce determination wavered.

Fairy Ruyan's flaming form flickered and waned, her fiery wings faltering as if suffocating in the oppressive atmosphere. Fairy Nila's moonlight dimmed, and her illusions lost their potency, flickering like dying stars in the night sky. The blue-robed man's lightning, once fierce and unyielding, crackled with uncertainty as if a storm was losing its power.

They came crashing down like before, unable to withstand the force enveloping them as they landed on the small foothold beneath the edge of the waterfall. It wasn't long before the intensity of Davis's soul force completely snuffed out the flames of Fairy Ruyan, dimmed the glow of Fairy Nila's moonlight, and doused the thunderous aura of the blue-armored man.

They appeared as helpless as they could be as they had their heads lowered before him, unable to raise them like their energies.

"I gave you three a chance to leave, but since you insist on remaining, leave your treasure lists or your lives behind."

Davis took a step forward and descended as the undulating waves of his soul force intensified. It was as if he could read their minds, their deepest fears, and weaknesses and use them against them. He pointed his scythe at each of them in turn, the dark blade seeming to draw their souls closer to him.

'A Fiend…!'

They couldn't help but shudder as they felt the deathly aura emanating from the scythe. It was anything but soothing, extremely contrary to the woman who appeared to have subdued the dark flower from retaliating. With this terrifying scythe, they came to understand that this Empyreal Monarch-level character was definitely a Fiend for being able to remain unscathed while handling a scythe emanating death energy.

"Let's see… We'll start with you, the most fiery and pretty…"

Yama's curved blade wrapped around Fairy Ruyan's neck as though it was going to give her a kiss of death.

Fairy Ruyan shivered, feeling the chilling aura emanate over her neck.

*Bzz~* *Bzz~*

Flames tried to reignite around her body, trying to burn brighter and fiercer, but she quickly found out that it was useless.

*Boom!~*

Davis cleaved Fairy Ruyan's head with a wave of his hand.

However, Fairy Ruyan's head didn't fall as expected, but a defensive talisman in the form of a necklace was activated, shielding her from Yama's deadly beheading attack. The backlash pushed Davis back, but he merely took a step backward, reaching out his other hand to grasp the scythe as he used force from both hands to carve apart the barrier.

"Wait… I… I give up! I'll give you the treasure list!"

Fairy Ruyan hurriedly shouted as the barrier seemed to have sunk where the scythe was trying to cleave it apart.

"Really? Then that's good."

Davis acted surprised before he took back his scythe.

When Fairy Ruyan and the others saw it, they saw that the scythe had just been a thin line away from cleaving apart the life-saving barrier and beheading her neck.

"We'll also give!"

"It's yours!"

Fairy Nila and the blue armored man shouted when Davis just moved Yama their way, causing them to quickly announce their surrender. Their actions caused Davis to nod satisfactorily as he took Yama back. At the same time, he cast a glance at their subordinates in the distance, noting that they had face-grounded themselves from the highly oppressive undulations he emitted, leaving behind craters.

It was too much to bear for them, but Davis was full of satisfaction.

After all, he'd like to stop making enemies left and right, so in truth, he wouldn't have killed them but maimed them at the very least since they had come at him with the intent to kill in order to obtain the treasure. Perhaps they thought that it was their only chance to defeat him. However, because he was so strong that the difference was quite obvious from just making a single move, he didn't need to kill them to make them understand.

As long as he could inflict fear and make them move according to his terms and dictate their lives as he pleased while they were in his vicinity, he didn't mind letting them live. What's more, he was not using deathly soul force or reincarnation-attribute soul force, which was his default as his soul physique was literally a reincarnation-attributed physique. If he had used it, then things would've been… way easier.

With results like this, Davis felt that even an Empyreal Monarch he thought of staying clear wouldn't be his match anymore.

Soon, he collected their treasure lists and released them from his overwhelming undulations.

Fairy Ruyan and Fairy Nila looked a bit stumped as they stood up.

Who was this person before them?

He seemed to be quick in capturing and releasing them, as though he didn't truly care whether they lived or not. The blue-armored man also seemed to arrive at the same conclusion, causing him to be confused, but he cupped his hands regardless.

"Heaven Immortal King, I am called Jerald, a General from the Thunderforge Citadel Lower Realm. Can I know what your splendid name is?" He asked, causing Davis to open his mouth.

"Davis…"

He had already left, appearing near Myria as she seemed to have already harvested the dark flower, which could only mean that she had dissected its features and attributes, managing to know its effects and value.

The three leaders may appear free, but in truth, Nadia, in her concealment, hung her three tails right over their necks as she was ready to kill them over a single transgression.
