3078 Regrouped
In the heart of a lush, ancient-looking giant forest whose crowns were as tall as the mountains, a gathering of six women and nine men formed a diverse and captivating group. Their appearances were as varied as the clans they represented, each individual bearing unique traits that set them apart from ordinary humans.
Among them were five members from the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan, five from the Golden Crow Clan, and five from the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan.
The women from the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan exuded an air of wild elegance. Their radiant emerald eyes gleamed like precious gems, and atop their heads perched wolf-like ears, dancing over to the sound they made while landing on the ground.
The men of the Golden Crow Clan embodied fiery determination. Their golden hair shimmered with a flaming sheen, and magnificent crow wings extended from the back of their shoulders, bearing hints of iridescent golden colors. As they spread their wings, the air seemed to dance around them as if touched by the essence of fire.
The Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan members exuded an aura of dense space. Their purple eyes sparkled like polished gemstones, reflecting their detection for space. They carried themselves with a sense of sturdy resilience, much like their powerful obsidian shell they were said to revere.
Together, these fifteen extraordinary youngsters formed an alliance, brought together by his presence.
"Emperor of Death, we are pleased to meet you." Said a Starlight Jade Wolf youth.
"At ease." Davis lightly waved his hand as he panned his gaze at them.
There were six women, two from each clan, and nine men, three from each clan. All of them appeared stiff in his presence, but with his words, some relaxed while the others continued to look at him with some nervousness.
"I'm glad you are all safe. Otherwise, I wouldn't know how to respond to my brothers. Regardless, I remember some of your faces but have not interacted with you. Introduce yourselves."
Davis gestured, causing the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan's youth who first greeted Davis to open his mouth.
"I am called Harlen Jadelight, the hundred and eleventh son of the Starlight Jade Wolf King, Patriarch Fenren Jadelight."
"My name is Silvia Jadelight, the hundred and ninety-eighth daughter of the Starlight Jade Wolf King-"
"I'm Nuren Jadelight, the two hundredth and one-"
"Alright, alright."
Looking at the two fey beauties introducing themselves with such a large number, Davis stopped them.
"Just the names are enough for the moment."
'Brother Fenren… you're not looking to send me your daughters, right…?'

Davis wondered, but in his imagination, he could see Fenren Jadelight's wolfy smirk.
"Hehe~ It's your turn." Nuren Jadelight giggled and passed the torch to the person behind her.
"…"
Davis didn't know what to say to this woman, who seemed to be at ease while talking with him. Her assets were truly assertive, trembling and swaying with each of her movements.
'Brother Fenren… you're not looking to send me your daughters, right…?'
Davis wondered, but in his imagination, he could see Fenren Jadelight's wolfy smirk.
Nonetheless, it wasn't long before he received the names of all fifteen youths present here.
"So, Klaze Spacewark, you were saying that you saved everyone from the clutches of this man called Lest Mistwalker…?"
"Yes, Saint Davis." A scholarly youth in a black robe opened his mouth, "He challenged the Fire Phoenix Clan's youngsters and slaughtered two of them and many others from the Phoenix Clans and even the Dragon Clans. I don't know about the rest, as I gathered every one of our allies I could find before I took them away by shifting through space. Everyone else also probably escaped. The rest of us who were far away gathered here before we waited for you, knowing that you would come for us."
"I see."
Davis nodded, raising his hand to pat Klaze Spacewark, "Well done. A leader like you is essential to a group's survival."
Receiving Davis's praise, Klaze Spacewark raised his chest in pride. However, he quickly looked as though he remembered something.
"Saint Davis, the Patriarch also reminded us to say something to you."
"What is it?"
"Back then, one of our inheritors, Gawain, might've offended you, so we ask you to be magnanimous and forgive our wrongs."
"Gawain…"
Davis remembered him. He was the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan's Inheritor who fought with Fairy Thunderblaze and lost miserably, scared of her power but then directed his enmity to him.
"Well, nothing happened anyway, so what's there to forgive?"
Davis shrugged, "You all make yourselves comfortable in the group. I'll tell you what we have found so far when we camp for the night, so let's go."
"Yes~"
Klaze Spacewark nodded while the others also echoed.
Before long, they continued their journey, clearing beasts of feral nature with their armaments and artifacts.
However, Davis didn't go southeast towards the hidden temple but decided to get his hands on more treasures in the southwest direction.
Before midnight, they were able to obtain three treasures.
One was a wood-attribute treasure, useful to Tina at her current stage because it was a Low-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Treasure. The other two were both water- and ice-attributed treasures, but since he didn't have a use for it as they were both Low-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Treasures, he gave it to Bing Luli and Zora Luan.
The two of them received it with a clueless gaze before Bing Luli produced a smile behind her veil, cupping her hands.
"Thank you, Emperor of Death."
Zora Luan also appeared to be caught in a bind as she seemed to want to return the treasure but also wanted to accept it.
"Don't mention it. These are scraps I don't want."
Davis waved his hands, causing Bing Luli to giggle while Zora Luan gawked.
"You… you dare mock me?"
"Senior sister, if I don't mock you, you won't believe that I treat you as a friend."
"You-"
Zora Luan pointed at him, appearing to fume before she looked away. For some reason, she liked him calling her senior sister, perhaps because it gave her importance even if he was just a habitual term at this point, so she didn't say anything, wanting to be the senior sister forever.
"I'll accept it…"
In the end, she said thank you in a way that was like an angry woman coming to terms, causing Davis to inwardly laugh at her before he turned to look at the campfire and the large piece of meat being roasted on it.
"This is a good opportunity. Who wants the Fire Phoenix Clan Patriarch's meat? It tastes super good despite the disgusting thoughts of that person."
"…"
Xerna Zenflame could only look as he spoke and ripped a mouthful of bird meat with his mouth, tearing it apart as he munched on them with much delight.
Was that piece of meat truly her father?
I'm going on a vacation until August 15th, so expect only one chap to be posted per day or none at all. I'll try my best to post everyday.
