"Nyoran…"

The Kingly Monarch of the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm's gaze flickered as he repeated the name, finding that it sounded pleasing. His gaze was thoroughly scanning her looks, appearing to be charmed, and even though Meili caught a glance at his reaction, she didn't seem to mind.

Instead, even she also sized her up for him with narrowed eyes.

This stunning woman in front of them with the same white pupils and purple hair exuded an air of mystery and elegance as most Ghostly Crows do.

However, the woman remained haughty and overlooking, not bothering to kneel, causing him to smile ever so lightly. Her black robe gracefully draped around her slender figure, accentuating her curves with every subtle movement she made. The fabric flowed like midnight silk, caressing her body and fluttering like the wind.

The robe itself was adorned with intricate details that echoed the essence of a Ghostly Crow, making them nod in appreciation, especially when they saw the scattered purple feathers nestled amongst the folds of her black robe, each one stroking a vibrant hue that made them appeased as their purple feathers were their most important feathers amongst the black, having the ability to store more energy.

Her face, illuminated by a soft glow, revealed flawless porcelain skin that spoke of timeless beauty. She was pale as them with her almond-shaped white eyes, like jade-white pearls, held a glimmer of boldness. Her long, black-purple hair cascaded in gentle waves down her back, with a single purple feather nestled amidst the glossy strands like a mystical secret waiting to be unraveled.

"Not bad…"

Meili uttered while the Kingly Monarch opened his mouth.

"Nyoran, I can see that you're a Ghostly Crow like us, but this is a lawless place devoid of morals. It wouldn't be strange for any of us to die here, so you should follow the law of the land and pay respects, and even if this is a city, you should still kneel towards a king of your species."

"Your kingly aura is lacking compared to Fairy Nadija of my Ghostly Crow Clan. I suppose you have inherited this blood rather than being born with it."

"So what?" His eyes turned cold.

"…!" The fellow disciples of Nyoran felt a cold chill on their spines, feeling like this person's patience wouldn't last long.

"Nothing." Nyoran responded in an unamused tone, "I also realized that I could not possibly survive here, but through hopelessness also comes fearlessness."

"…?" The Kingly Monarch made a confused expression, "What does have to do with me? We're fellow Ghostly Crows, and all I'm asking you to do is fulfill the basic respect a lower member of our clan should show to a higher member, even if distant. Could it be that all laws and morals have been eradicated in your world's Ghostly Crow Clan?"

"Of course not."

Nyoran cast a look at the helpless silhouettes of the Ice Phoenix Clan's women and the corpses of the men, her gaze flickering as she wanted to see who was lacking morals, but she sighed lightly, returning her gaze.

"Back then, I admired a man greatly for his ability to be simply… unending no matter the dangers he faced. Following his example, I also tried to forget my own fears and did everything in my power to venture into dangerous realms and secret realms, having my wings severed and my beak cracked, but regardless, it was rewarded as I managed to become a Variant Ghostly Crow."

"Why are you talking nonsense? Kneel!"

Meili's undulations burst forth as Nyoran's knees came crashing down.

*Crack!~*

Her kneecap shattered as her gaze shook, but she didn't even let out the slightest moan as she still kept her head straight.

"What I'm trying to say is… you don't compare with that man for me to kneel through my own will."

Nyoran uttered with an unwavering gaze as she looked at the Kingly Monarch, causing his gaze to flicker.

But on the other hand, Meili appeared furious. She raised her hand all the way up before swinging her arm, her palm striking towards Nyoran's cheeks. Nyoran didn't even bat an eyelid, waiting for the palm to fall on her face.

"Watch out!"

Abruptly, the Kingly Monarch launched himself at Meili, rushing towards the distance after he caught her before turning to look around. His eyes turned bloodshot as he saw a frail arm spin in the air before crashing to the ground while, at the same time, a painful scream released from Meili's mouth.

"Ahh!~"

Meili saw that her arm was cut, and some pitch-black energy was corroding her arm, causing her to panic.

"Endure!"

The Kingly Monarch instantly put her down and cut off her arm with a slice of his hand, causing Meili to scream in pain again, but she suppressed it this time.

"Oh? You're not from the Ice Phoenix Clan, are you?"

Davis turned to look at the kneeling woman, his eyes squinting as he sensed a vague sense of familiarity. Just using a bit of karmic powers would've made it clear who she was. However, he turned to look around, knowing this wasn't the time to be reminiscing as he propped up his scythe.

The three others from the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm had also retreated in different directions, wondering how or where this person even came from!

"…"

On the other hand, Nyoran looked at him with wide eyes.

"You're not bad. You managed to see through my concealment at the last second."

Davis uttered with a chuckle.

Due to time constraints, as he was worried about the two survivors, he had rushed ahead in the direction Cyclonis Blizzara pointed to, and zooming into this location, he instantly knew who to attack as their transcendent auras and prowess couldn't be any clearer.

He aimed for Meili's head, but she was saved by that person whom Davis now had his eyes on as he felt him to be the only threat.

"Careful! We Ghostly Crows are sensitive to any concealed entity around us!"

Nyoran voiced out, but it made Davis dumbfounded as he turned to look at her.

"Nyoran…?"

"…!"

Nyoran shook, unable to believe that he recognized her with just her voice. From her attitude to her aura, everything was different as she had gone through ordeal after ordeal and mutated from a Dark Moon Crow to a Variant Ghostly Crow, so she had never imagined that he could recognize just like that.

"Careful!"

"Die!"

She screamed at him again, sensing the danger as the wings of the Ghostly Crow Fey flapped.

*Booom!~*

Davis kept starting at Nyoran, appearing to be at a loss, but Nyoran was shaken as she saw a dark wolf emerge from his head and slap the Kingly Monarch's body with its giant paws.

The Kingly Monarch was sent tumbling back as he spat a mouthful of blood. He was blown far into the distance, destroying thick trunks all the way up to a few kilometers while Meili and his fellow teammates looked at him in shock.

"Stand. Stand up…"

But on the other hand, Davis didn't even look at the battle and helped Nyoran stand up, his face appearing to have a bit of a smile as he seemed quite delighted.

"I never expected you to appear here as I didn't see you back at the entrance, Nyoran. But I guess you were amongst the hooded individuals who concealed their auras for whatever reason they may have."

He patted her shoulder and nodded.

"I have yet to offer thanks to you for holding your end of the deal, so wait for me."

Without this deal going through, Davis imagined that Evelynn wouldn't have obtained Wisteria.

Nonetheless, he left a stunned Nyoran and walked towards the group of five who seemed to have gathered around their leader.

"I'll give you two choices. Surrender and answer my questions. As for the punishment, it could wait. If not, get defeated and become retards as I soulscour you."

Davis held Yama to his back, its pitch-black curved blade curving across his like a dark moon. The very sight of it left everyone in this place feeling a bone-chilling spine.

*Whoosh!~*

Abruptly, the Kingly Monarch and the four others retreated into the distance, causing Davis to blink.

They… ran away…?

He looked at them with shock, unable to believe their decisiveness.

'Fuckers… is not one of them easy prey…?'

Davis gawked as these so-called youngsters were making smart decisions instead of acting all hotblooded and stubborn.

"Master…"

Nadia waved her paw, indicating that she would go hunt them, but Davis shook his head.

"No, don't follow them. They've been here for a few months already, so they might've laid some traps ahead."

*Whoosh!~*

And the reason why the disciples of the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm retreated appeared as Lea and the others appeared. However, only Myria and Lea's aura were blaring into the skies, making them know that clashing with them would make them pay a heavy price even if they were to survive.

Thus, knowing that they were outnumbered, they decisively chose to retreat.

He had also heard about the Ghostly Crows. Their ability to conceal was on par with Nadia when she was a Dark-Winged Twilight Wolf, not to mention their speed, which was also extreme although not comparable to the five Grand Sky Supreme Beasts, the Emerald Gale Roc, Wind Phoenix, Wind Dragon, Sovereign Wind Skylark and the Devouring Wind Garuda.

At this moment, Cyclonis Blizzara rushed to her disciples, appearing before them as she knelt and hurriedly checked on their conditions.
