Chapter 2994 Guardians Emerge

Divergent Peak, far west of the First Haven World.

1

There were four existences whose presence induced the utmost fear in every being possible in this world. However, the four of them were right now engaged in a sky-cleaving, space-shattering battle with the grayish beasts emerging from the other side of the hundreds of rifts.

The grayish beasts looked soulless, bloodthirsty, and aggressive, attacking any lifeform different than them at first sight. However, each second, hundreds of them turned into a sea of blood as they plunged into the ground.

The mountain plains were now splattered with a foul odor, and massive rivers of blood flowed throughout the region.

"Aren't you done yet, Guardian Kieth?"

A low voice emerged from the skies, but it resounded like thunder in the head of a purple-robed man.

"There are simply too many spatial rifts. It's going to take some time, so keep culling those beasts for me, Guardian Zera."

He had his fair hands stretched out, his sharp topaz eyes narrowing in focus.

This man appeared responsible with his heavy and sophisticated aura, but at this moment, his lips were curled in a wide smile as though he was enjoying it. His attire was tailored with many kinds of immortal beasts, making him appear quite exuberant, but his tall and well-built appearance, which gave him an air of confidence and grace, was immensely attractive to women.

Hearing his reaction, a black-white-robed woman sighed ever so lightly. She wore a white-black veil that accentuated her dress, and even her hair was colored black and white. She seemed to emulate two different auras at the same time, one hard and another soft.

In her hand was an exquisite and luxurious fan beholding the sign of a diagram of opposite forces. She waved it like she was moving a curtain aside, but the resulting onslaught emerging from it caused a violet storm that violently rushed into the fray of Vacuous Beasts and caused hundreds of Immortal Emperor Beasts to come to a stop.

The next moment, their entire body fell apart piece by piece, bursting into a shower of blood that fell into the crimson sea. The entire region reeked of the aura of toxic blood, which could cause even Peak Immortal Kings to die of suffocation from inhaling too much poison.

However, all that toxic blood rose over, forming a giant wall amidst the hundreds of rifts present.

"Something's going on in there. We have to make a move quickly."

A white-robed man spoke. He looked incredibly stunning, like a true scholar with his regal bearings.

His eyes were shining with a golden hue as he had his hands stretched, light energy spreading out in waves into the entire region as it formed a barrier. His light-attributed barrier was so massive, spanning hundreds and thousands of kilometers in radius, that he sealed the entire region off effortlessly.

Even the ground was carved apart by him, and that barrier contained the toxic blood from the carcasses of the Vacuous Beasts.

"Guardian Ryheris, I sense a minute amount of spatial undulations inside the blood sphere. Most likely, whoever caused these rifts to open has a plan in mind, and I presume they're sending these so-called Vacuous Beasts to different regions. Can you seal the space here as well?"

Another man spoke and asked in a calm and indifferent tone as his voice resounded throughout the region.

His looks appeared quite aloof, and his gaze was one that was filled with wisdom. Similar to Guardian Zera, he also wore a black-white robe, but his designs were far different than hers. Nonetheless, he was on the opposite side of the region, single-handedly taking care of the beasts as flashes of light and darkness occasionally overwhelmed the region.

"I'll try, Guardian Elysian...":

Guardian Ryheris responded.

He changed his hand signs and imposed an additional barrier, but before it could even form completely, it was quickly shattered.

"I think sealing this space is impossible due to the instability of this region, not to mention the factor of divergence."

"Thought so. It can't be helped."

Responded Guardian Elysian in a cold tone, darkness enveloping the other side of the region before silence stayed and never disappeared even after an entire minute, even amidst the resounding roars of the Vacuous Beasts.

A while later, the other region became as clear as day. There were no Vacuous Beasts at all and only the rifts that were about to close.

"Any moment now..."

Guardian Kieth's voice resounded. His hands that were hovering beside each in front of his heart finally connected, and the moment it did so, the hundreds of spatial rifts were closed off just like that. They were like wide-open jaws that were zipped close and forcefully stitched back into normalcy.

He sighed ever so lightly and looked around, noticing the remnant Immortal Emperor Vacuous Beasts being slaughtered by his fellow Guardians before he took a step forward and appeared before the blood sphere.

Raising his hand, he reached out toward the blood sphere.

"Careful... the one who put this blood barrier up is a master in using Bloodcurse Laws..."

Resounded Guardian Kalaxis Vain's voice from the remaining direction.

"I know."

Guardian Keith responded calmly without even stopping his hand. His palm touched the surface of the blood sphere when a ripple spread across the blood barrier. The ripple moved across the other side of the barrier and rebounded, returning back to the location where his touch remained.

*Bang!~*

The entire blood sphere shattered, exploding into a shower of toxic blood.

However, Guardian Keith paid no attention to it as not one bit of it was able to smear him. Instead, his topaz eyes were focused on the four violet-robed characters stretching their hands. They seemed to open and close a lot of spatial vortexes that led somewhere else. However, they were opened right in front of the spatial rifts, allowing those Vacuous Beasts to be transported elsewhere.

"I don't sense that madman master mentioned. Where is he?"

Guardian Keith's tone became angered.

He waved his hand, causing those spatial vortexes and spatial rifts to abruptly start closing. It was like huge hands suddenly clasped their edges and pulled them close in order to shut them. Space virtually bent like they were being compressed, causing the others to sigh as they enclosed this tiny area, getting rid of the Vacuous Beasts that started going astray from the closing spatial vortexes, heading towards them.

*Bang!~* *Bang!~* *Bang!~*

While Guardian Keith focused on the spatial rifts, the remaining four Guardians destroyed the Immortal Emperor Vacuous Beasts with just a single wave of their hands. They expended no effort and looked as though they were waving their invisible broomsticks, cleaning dust.

If there were any onlookers, they would simply have a panic attack and faint as these were basically existences difficult to comprehend.

Soon, the last bit of spatial rifts were closed, and the Vacuous Beasts were cleansed of their existence, leaving behind four Godwin Family Immortal Emperors.

An old man among them grinned. However, his eyes seemed quite vindictive.

"Now, the world can be buried along with my grandson."

"..."

Guardian Keith frowned in annoyance. If he remembered correctly, this person was Nyx Godwin's grandfather, and the others were the powerful Ancestors of the Godwin Family who were on the run from them and never saw the light of the day after being marked by the Void Dust Empress, but they had the gall to show up today, making him imagine that they had somehow gotten rid of the mark, which wouldn't be possible without someone's help, most likely that madman.

However, not one among them didn't seem to be the person he was searching for.

"Where is that madman?"

"Who knows? Perhaps, he crossed through one of the spatial vortexes you sealed, allowing him to escape successfully?"

"..."

Guardian Keith stared for a few moments before he sighed and pointed, "Capture them."
