A crimson-robed man received a slap to his face as he was sent flying. His figure rushed straight behind and crashed into a palace wall, causing a small dust storm to erupt. But shortly, that figure came crawling on all fours before smashing his head onto the ground.

A crimson-white-robed middle-aged man bellowed, although his expression seemed indifferent. He glanced down, coldly gazing at Patriarch Killian Zenflame, who acted like he was broken while resting on an altar, but he knew better as the nirvanic rebirth almost heals all trauma incurred or gives relief, allowing them to be at least sane for a while before mental trauma grew again.
However, he narrowed his eyes, not expecting Patriarch Killian Zenflame to have survived being captured by the Emperor of Death as Lars Zenflame still hadn't woken up, although the other two Ancestors who saved Patriarch Killian Zenflame argued that they were forced to kill him to save him, so he didn't have much doubt over that.

Ancestor Reselius glared, causing Patriarch Killian Zenflame to lower his head further as he trembled.
"Supreme Ancestor, the Emperor of Death has captured four of our Grand Elders and is demanding surrender."
"Surrender? A little fly that has yet to grow into an Immortal Emperor wants the Fire Phoenix Clan to surrender?"
An inherent flow of rage shaped the voice as it came out of Ancestor Reselius that the others couldn't help but feel their throats burn, organs sear, and their flesh cooked just by being near his presence.
The other Ancestors had their heads lowered while Patriarch Killian Zenflame miserably endured. For better or worse, having been trained- no, tormented by the Emperor of Death actually helped him endure better.
The searing scarlet heat disappeared only a few seconds later, causing them to heave a heavy sigh of relief as they breathed again.
A few minutes later, they left Ancestor Reselius's Palace.
The other Ancestors could see Patriarch Killian Zenflame walking out with a murderous glint in his eyes.

His green hair flailed in the wind before he abruptly disappeared.

A burst of jade light exploded right on Davis as he retreated a bit, his hands stretched out as he seemed to have blocked a punch.
