It wasn't even milliseconds before his soul body disappeared amidst the scarlet glow, and it extended even more to cover the something that had been sent flying with a kick.
However, the scarlet glow was unable to absorb that object before the light faded away, causing the Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic to float in mid-air with no one to take hold of it.
The Starlight Jade Wolf King watched this scene in shock, his apprehension second only to the scene of losing his Ancestor in this battle. The sea of scarlet flames released by the powerful talisman in between only served to widen the gap, causing him to be unable to make it there.
But the next moment, he saw a tiny floating palace beside the Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic, causing his eyes to widen.
'Could that be…'
Just as he wondered what was going on, inside that floating palace, Davis revealed a victorious smile.
'I was right! The sealing artifact is incapable of sealing this inheritance palace!'
He couldn't believe the prowess of the Nine-Treasure Immortal Ordeal Palace. He thought it was a Peak Immortal King Grade Palace, but he stood corrected. It was still a Peak Immortal King Grade Palace but its defensive layers in the very middle were made up of Immortal Emperor Grade ores, some unknown kind that seemed to be capable of transforming states into liquid from metal when refined and used.
Therefore, the moment he activated the true defenses of the Nine-Treasure Immortal Ordeal Palace using High-Level Immortal Crystals, the seemingly liquid metal interior turned into hard metal, leaving any form of attack or pull that could act on it and break its initial defenses useless.

Lereza condescendingly smirked as though looking down on him, causing Davis to laugh before he shook his head, his gaze changing ever so lightly as he saw what his soul body was witnessing. Needless provocations fell in his senses, causing him to sigh and hurriedly investigate the artifact.
'I see. Although this artifact seals the individual inside, it is not capable of sealing senses…. Which means that it doesn't teleport one to a different space upon absorption. It's the pocket space of the artifact itself, capable of-'

He had tried to maintain distance and not get himself caught up in the Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic's absorption, as it was extremely dangerous. However, it seems like he would not be able to hold himself back.

The Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic easily broke the barrier of the sealing formation he had set up without even struggling, continuing to move forwards.

Seeing the Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic still rampaging, Davis knew his Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace could be destroyed, but he didn't care. Not only was it empty, but all the treasures were in Lereza's spatial ring. No matter what price he had to pay, he was prepared to bring down Patriarch Killian Zenflame, the reason for all this mess, even if he had to use Fallen Heaven.
That was how incensed he was, especially after hearing all the garbage that came out of his mouth.
Nonetheless, he turned to look towards the source that actually stopped the Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic from fleeing, witnessing Hirona and Sierra radiating an immense phoenix aura. Blood was leaking out of their lips, making him understand that these two worked in tandem to stop the Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic from leaving by using their blood essence.
Had they called out to the artifact spirit? But why? Why were these two helping him?
If they hadn't called out to the Nine-Phoenix Locking Relic, perhaps, he might have never caught up to it. It was too fast, being capable of traversing within the void if it could smash through walls like that.
Davis gazed at them with a complicated look before his gaze fell on Great Ancestor Zenflame, whose lips moved, telling him to flee.
"Didn't I tell you all to leave, or else you are all my enemies when the barrier breaks?"
However, Davis spoke with suppressed fury as though he was a volcano about to explode, causing the Ancestors from the other powers to turn deeply wary of him as they slowly retreated, each of them taking out a treasure to either protect themselves or deal with him.
"Before I turn and see your faces, I'll give you all one last chance. Scram!"
Davis roared.
It caused the expressions of numerous Ancestors to shudder greatly. Even that one strange female Ancestor and Cyan Soul Rat Clan's Ancestor were no different.
After seeing what had happened to the Fire Phoenix Clan's Ancestors, they had this bad premonition that they couldn't stop their minds from imagining it.
It was unknown what happened in the next second, but when Davis turned to look, he only saw the Light Dragon Clan's Ancestor head plunging to the surface. Casting a look above, he saw Venerable Warrior Zermatt descend with a sword in his hands, his body appearing crystalline as though he was a diamond.
"Did the Light Dragon Clan's Ancestor die?"
"No, he's one lively old man. He escaped with his soul, but I pierced his immortal vessel. With that, he's going to die sooner or later…"
Venerable Warrior Zermatt responded to Davis's question before he raised his sword that shone like a diamond.
