After the old man finished speaking, he immediately stood up, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and ran towards a direction. Shen Bing followed closely behind.

Since the old man used to be the owner of this place, he must know where the exit is. The other women realized this and hurriedly followed as well.

They walked a long way with the old man until they reached a massive door. It was thick and sturdy, without any switches or locks.

"When did this door appear?" The old man's expression darkened as he tried to push it, but it wouldn't budge. With his strength, he couldn't open the door.

"Don't just stand there and watch, help me push!" the old man shouted.

All the women rushed forward and started pushing the door together, but it still wouldn't move.

"The mechanism hasn't been figured out yet; pushing randomly won't work," Shen Bing shook her head. She then returned to the control room and operated some equipment, hoping to open the door through the switches. However, even after trying all the controls, the door remained unmoved.

"Ugh..." Shen Bing frowned.

If even the mechanisms were ineffective, then it was likely impossible to open the massive door from the inside.

"What should we do now?" Shen Bing wondered.

The old man and the other women also realized something was wrong. They knew they couldn't push open the door and had come back to look at Shen Bing.

"Do you see any switches here?" the old man asked anxiously.

Shen Bing shook her head, indicating she hadn't found any.

She had searched the area thoroughly, but there was no control switch to be found.

"If I'm not mistaken, this door is probably controlled by voice or palm prints. We must find the exact mechanism," Shen Bing said calmly.

She noticed some women's clothes in the control room and went over to find some suitable clothes for herself. After putting on the clothes and covering certain areas, she finally felt a sense of security.

"Now, let's split up and search for the switch. We have to find it!" the old man ordered.

The women looked at each other, feeling helpless. They were all pampered and spoiled, having no idea how to find a switch.

The old man scolded them angrily, disappointed with their inability to help.

He approached the door, examining it carefully.

Shen Bing, after calming herself down, carefully observed as well, hoping to find any clues that would lead to the switch.

Unfortunately, even after searching the entire place, she still couldn't find the switch.

"Every door has a switch, and as long as we search diligently, we'll find it. Shen Bing, stay calm; you will surely find the switch and solve this puzzle," Shen Bing encouraged herself.

Taking a few deep breaths, Shen Bing continued her search.

The other women did not know where to begin, and they wanted to help, but they were clueless about where to start.

"We have to find it as soon as possible. Otherwise, once Bernard comes back, the consequences will be unimaginable," Shen Bing reminded them.

Wang Chao sat in a car, quietly smoking, following behind Bernard's vehicle at a distance of one kilometer.

In order to track Bernard more effectively, he had asked Zhang Long to get him a private car, a simple Ford Mondeo, not very expensive.

He was trailing Bernard at a distance, not too close.

At such a remote distance, not even Bernard would be able to detect Wang Chao, let alone any top-level martial artists.

Soon, Bernard returned to his residence—a majestic ancient castle. The luxurious castle indicated that Bernard's background was far from ordinary.

"Living in a castle like this, why does he even bother with being a vice dean?" Wang Chao parked his car one kilometer away and observed the castle with surprise. The castle's decorations were undoubtedly the most luxurious in White Eagle Country.

Every brick and tile exuded a retro feeling, and they were extremely opulent and valuable. Just this castle alone was probably worth much more than all the hospitals in Massachusetts General Hospital combined.

It was evident that Bernard was undoubtedly a noble with no shortage of money.

"I wonder what he will do," Wang Chao lit a cigarette and put it in his mouth. After exhaling a puff of smoke, he started eating a hamburger he had bought and drank from a bottle of mineral water.

His plan was to monitor Bernard and seize the opportunity if he attempted anything against Shen Bing.

However, to his surprise, a day and night passed without any abnormalities from Bernard. He went about his routine of eating, sleeping, and going to work, everything was as normal as it could be.

"Does this guy know that I'm watching him?" Wang Chao's expression darkened. Something felt off.

Bernard, being who he was, should not be living such a normal life. However, he was acting surprisingly ordinary and showed no peculiar behavior even when he was at home.

This was strange!

"Brother Wang, have you found Bingbing yet?" Suddenly, Wang Chao received a call from Liu Yifei, and her voice was filled with worry.

"Not yet, but I believe we will find her soon," Wang Chao replied calmly. "Also, ask Uncle Long for me about the material used on the wall inside Bernard's room."

"I've had someone investigate it, but they couldn't identify the material. However, I heard that Bernard requested to have that wall made with his own bricks when he was renovating the place," Zhang Long's voice came through the phone.

"They could not identify the material?" Wang Chao furrowed his brows. In today's technology, the inability to identify the material meant that it was extremely unique, beyond what even Zhang Long could trace.

"Yes, during the renovation, none of the workers knew where Bernard got the material from. They tried drilling it with an electric drill for a long time but could not make a dent. Eventually, they had to use a high-pressure water jet to cut through, and it took about three hours to complete," Zhang Long explained.

Hearing this, Wang Chao kept his eyes fixed on Bernard's activities in the castle, his gaze chilling.

Using such rare bricks for a wall was indeed peculiar!

There must be something wrong with that wall!

He thought for a moment and uttered in a earnest tone, "Uncle Long, find a way to investigate the truth behind that wall in Bernard's room. I have a feeling that something is amiss with it!"
