As Meng Chang spoke, a sudden rush of footsteps came from outside.

Sheng Minghui stood among the crowd, his gaze sharp and cold as he stared at Wang Chao. "Bold rebel, daring to murder high-ranking officials of the War Department. You must be a spy sent by an enemy nation, colluding with the enemy and committing treason. Your crimes warrant execution!"

With those words, all the Silver Corps soldiers on the scene immediately raised their guns, aiming at Wang Chao.
