Chapter 88: Turbine Town
"We're here." Satella took in a few deep breaths as she stands close to a cliff. There was a small town-size settlement if they're looking down from the spot she's standing.
"What the…" Zhang Qin Feng's eyeballs were almost fallen out as he scanned the surrounding. Even from this distance, the number of zombies gathered here can be said to be immeasurable.
'Stein… Give me a rough report of how many zombies in our perimeters.' Zhang Qin Feng secretly relays his instruction.

"That's because, in the middle of this Turbine Town, there's an infected shelter." Satella smiled as she replied to Zhang Qin Feng's question. This was also the first time he heard the word 'Shelter' coming out from Satella.
"There's a shelter in the heart of this Turbine Town?" Zhang Qin Feng stared at Satella. He started to question himself why would she use the word 'safe' to bring him here?
To someone like Zhang Qin Feng, who does not belong to this world, the meaning of 'safe' should mean no zombies around and not swarming with them.
"Yes. There's a shelter. From what we know, it's a level-1 Cloning Facility, so it was not too dangerous." Satella replied as she makes a final inspection on her munition and preparation. Looking at what she was doing make Zhang Qin Feng did the same on his own equipment.
After securing a rope on the trees growing near the cliff, they took the two slowly grappled themselves down the slope until they're less than a few meters away from the outskirt of the Turbine Town.
"Let's go. Since our aim here was not clearing the shelter, it will be a quick in-and-out session before returning to our base in the evening. I hope your skill is not rusty because it's quite peaceful around us lately." Satella pulled the hammer for her Centurion to make sure there are no bullets jammed in the chamber.
After disengaging the safety lock, the two charged into one of the streets as they start engaging with the zombies roaming all around them.

Satella's accuracy was impressive. If he were to evaluate her shooting score, Satella could do much better than him in a match of three rounds. Although Zhang Qin Feng's performance wasn't too shabby, it was far from comparing to her.
The situation between him and her was the same as when the Tianhe Special Squadrons looking at his skills.
'Looks like I have to train my body much more before I can get to Satella's level.' Zhang Qin Feng laughed as he felt a little emasculated after looking at Satella's performance.
She's like an elite soldier equipped with the top-tiered tech around her. There's not a single wasteful movement whenever she makes her way forward.

After letting the Antiviral Material Collector did its job, she'll collect the syringe before piling the corpses aside. A blue spray is applied on the neck to identify which was done and which was not.
This collection standard will continue as she moves from one spot to another. Unless the spot was too open and risky, she would make sure to finish her job before moving forward. It seems that the Luna Device in her hand could scan if there's Duranium Shard and belongings on the walking dead.
As for Zhang Qin Feng, his action is seen as a big waste. He doesn't even make his way down to collect the Antiviral Material and belongings that might be looted from the dead's body.
Little that she knew, everything was done automatically by Stein. All Zhang Qin Feng would have to do was to pull the trigger and relay his instruction. Of course, he'll have to occasionally get his hand dirty because Stein can only collect resources, but not the belongings on the dead.
It was also a good opportunity for Zhang Qin Feng to recharge in his Dimensional-Charge Storage Unit. If he knew that they'll be going out to hunt this amount of zombies before leaving, he would make sure he gets another tank ready by his side as a backup.
But it was not an issue to them, at least for now.
By the time the sun goes down slightly, the two decided to call an end to their hunt. Following the route that leads them back to the cliff, they attached themselves to the end of the rope.
A convenient tool was used to pull their body back to the upper cliff. Although the rope is still in its pristine condition, it has to be burned. This will turn it back to its raw, unprocessed state.
'Satella, why would you burn the rope that's still usable?" Zhang Qin Feng asked as he cannot process the reason behind her action.
"Well… This was the customary practice that we're educated with while still in the incubation stage, I suppose? Perishables equipment like this has to be remade to remove the possibility of malfunction. Only by this way can we make sure that every operation we do yield the highest success rate." she replied.
"Oh… Zhang Qin Feng nodded. Without further ado, it was a hell marathon again where they had to run for an hour at least back to the base.
It was no wonder Satella often return at this hour.
But their return was a little cumbersome as they came here empty-handed but returning with loots.
