Chapter 78: Kidnapping
'Why are there so many miss calls from different numbers? Do I know any of them?' Zhang Qin Feng asked himself if he recognized any of these random callers. Since none of the callers seems familiar, he decided to return a call to the first person on the list.
*Dururu…*
"Hello?" the receiver answered the call. Judging from the tone, it should belong to a male in his fifties. There's a hint of strictness in how he greets, which means this person is likely not calling him for leisure purposes.
"This is Zhang Qin Feng. I believe I had a few miss calls from this number. Can I know who is across the line and the reason you're calling, please?" he introduced himself.
"Oh! Zhang Qin Feng?" the receiver seems to be in shock hearing what he just said.
'What's wrong with him? To be shocked from hearing my name? Did something happened?' Zhang Qin Feng asked himself.
'Stein, check on the web in case there's something I missed from not being home yesterday,' he immediately instructed Stein to go online.
"Alright. This is Inspector Loong from the Suihe City's Southern District Police Station. Can you make your way to the police station as soon as possible? We have something that we need your cooperation, and it won't be convenient to speak on the phone." he said.
"Southern District's Police Station? Inspector Loong? What is this all about?" hearing the fact the police force is looking for his cooperation puzzled him as he remembered that he had nothing to do with breaking the law.
"It's related to your uncle. Have you been away for a while?" Inspector Loong continued.

[The system completed the user's request. There's been a kidnapping case in the Southern District's People's Hospital. The person that was kidnapped is your Uncle Chen]
'What? My uncle got kidnapped? While he still inside the hospital? Did the news said who might have done it?' Zhang Qin Feng got nervous. Without the need to wait for Stein's reply, it's likely related to the Horus Eye Mercenaries.
"Mr. Zhang?" Inspector Loong asked. It seems that Zhang Qin Feng was too distracted by Stein to reply to the inspector.
"Ah, sorry. I will be there as soon as possible." Zhang Qin Feng simply replied. From his speech, he's in a rush to cut off the call.
"One moment, Mr. Zhang. When you're here, please come straight to the third floor. Turn left after you come out from the lift, and you'll see a beautiful policewoman with round glasses seated inside the office."
"Tell her you're here to see me, and she'll direct you to my office without other paperwork. Make sure you did this. I need to see you ASAP. This is urgent, ok?" Inspector Loong makes sure he reminds Zhang Qin Feng of what he should do when he arrives.
"I'll remember that. See you soon." Zhang Qin Feng swiped the choice to hang the call after replying. Then, the list of the number he missed appears on the screen of his phone once again.
Amongst the fifty calls, half of them were from this Inspector Loong. As for the remaining half, ten randomly generated numbers called him only once. As for the remaining fifteen calls, it came from two different callers.
Zhang Qin Feng decided to give a call to one of the two.

"Hello, Qin Feng?" the person that answered the call was someone close to him. It was Wang Yufei's grandfather.
"Grandfather? This is actually your number…" Zhang Qin Feng greeted him immediately as soon as he knew who was across the line.
"Have you given a reply to Captain Hu? He will make things simple for you, so give him a call quickly. Grandfather felt a little unwell, so I'll take a rest first."
"Lan-Er, come and take this phone for me," the elder sounded unwell as his voice getting softer at the end of his sentence. Soon, Ruo-Lan answered the call on the elder's behalf.
"Mr. Zhang. Something happened. You should call the captain's number as soon as possible. Can you do it?" Ruo-Lan speaks on the phone with Zhang Qin Feng.
"I will. Please take care of grandfather." Zhang Qin Feng shut the call and immediately pressed the call button on another number.
*Du…*
"Hello, Qin Feng?" Captain Hu immediately answered the call after a ring. It seems he's been waiting for his call.
"Captain. The elder asked me to give you a call. What happened?" Zhang Qin Feng quickly asked.
"Something big happened. Have you heard about the kidnapping case that happened in the Southern District's People's Hospital?" Captain Hu asked in case Zhang Qin Feng has no idea about that.
"Yes. I just noticed that on today's news." Zhang Qin Feng immediately replied to Captain Hu.
"It's good that you know. This makes things simpler for both of us. Our young lady was taken as well. She was accompanying your uncle when that happened." Captain Hu exhaled after hearing Zhang Qin Feng's reply. But he dropped a bomb at the end of his sentence.
"Wait… What?" Zhang Qin Feng finally noticed why there are so many calls from the others, but not even a single one came from Wang Yufei. There's no reason for the captain to joke with him by using Wang Yufei's safety.
"It was not reported in the news because the Wang Family held the reporters back… But the young lady is indeed taken as well. The Tianhe Special Squadron needs your help. Do you think you can do something for us?" Captain Hu said.
"What… What do the Tianhe Special Squadron need from me? I am not a member of the special forces or elite security team." Zhang Qin Feng shook his head unconsciously as he speaks on the phone.
"We'll provide you with enough coverage and protection. Give us a hand as we get the Horus Eye Mercenaries and get back your uncle and our young lady from their hand." Captain Hu calmed himself before he explained.
"Did they give you a call?" he soon asked.
"A call? I have around ten random callers on my phone. Do you think it's from them?" Zhang Qin Feng said.
