Chapter 76: Upgrade
"Ah!" Satella was crying on the bed as Zhang Qin Feng was punishing her for being reckless while he was gone. Using the weapon he was born with it since young, he repeatedly boned Satella until she had to beg for forgiveness.
It was a failure at first.
After teaching her a lesson, it seems she's yet to learn from her mistakes. This is why Zhang Qin Feng repeated what he did and made sure she felt sore all over her lower body when she wakes up in the morning.
As for the others, they're much more pitiful as they're unable to get a night of proper sleep due to Zhang Qin Feng and Satella's sexcapade that lasted for the entire night.
"Are you alright, Vice-Boss?" Miriam asked. Although she's not as experienced as Satella in this, she knew something was wrong by looking at how Satella was holding on walls and something to support herself while walking.
"Should I share the boss with you too? I'm sure you'll feel how it is to become a woman after sleeping with him." Satella pinched Miriam's face as she felt like teasing her.
"I - I don't dare to share the boss with you… Plus, we don't know if he wants me or not," said Miriam.
"By the way, there's something outside. I think you have to come with me to have a look. Marvin is monitoring what the machine is doing right now. All he keeps mentioning right now is how impressed he was." Miriam pulled Satella with her as she felt there's a need to tell her about it.
After getting out of the safehouse, the two were greeted with the sight of a clean residential area. Of course, it was far from being squeaky clean, but at least the corpses, bones, and litter were gone.
This was all done by the Automaton Reprinter Unit. It was currently disassembling a part of a vehicle to be recycled into material blocks before stacking them on the corner of the safehouse.
"What is this machine, and when did it come here?" Satella asked. As the Vice-Boss of the base, she shouldn't be the last one to knew about this.
"From what I know, this seems to be a Reprinter Unit. The people before the post-apocalypse uses this machine to work on their behalf until it was ready for another set of workloads," said Marvin.
"But from what I know, it shouldn't be operating because the electrical consumption was astronomical. To see one is still working automatically right now surprises me as well…" Marvin added.
"So, what can we do with the item this machine produced?" Satella asked. Because she's a clone from the soldier design, she can be said to be lack commonsense when it comes to machinery and other professions.
She might be incomparable in assembling a weapon with her eyes closed, but not when it comes to controlling machinery and ordering it to do something. Here in this world, all the clones have something they're good with.
"Vice-Boss… Do you have something for us to do?" the two slaves Zhang Qin Feng rescued yesterday came out from the building after tidying themselves properly.
The male one was named Victor, and the female was called Valerian. Both of them were the clone from a cloning shelter further away from this place. It was still a question of how they managed to come over here alive.
"Tell me what you're good with. I'm sure our boss will have something for you to do later," said Satella after she takes a look at both of them. It seems that Valerian does have some qualities that Zhang Qin Feng might prefer, especially her bouncing chest that jiggles whenever she moves a step.
"I - I am good with electronics. If I have sufficient equipment to work with, I can help design many things that can benefit the base…" Victor was the first to answer Satella's question.
"Then, what about you?" Satella moves her gaze to Valerian, the girl with jiggling boobies. The more she looks at her, the more she felt jealous. If only both of them were present, perhaps Satella will not control herself from touching it.
"I'm a scientist-type clone… I can help to create any type of research chemicals…" Valerian said. After finishing what she was going to say, she raised her head to look at the others. It seems everyone was weirdly looking at her.
"With the condition now, where can we get chemicals for you to work with?" Satella sighed. From her reply alone, she looks like she picked up a liability instead of a profitable slave that can contribute to Zhang Qin Feng's survival base.
"Anyway, there must be something you can help… Just go around and see what the others need and give them a hand for now." Satella said.
"Wait. What kind of chemical do you need to make something? Do you have an idea what you can do? Let's say if I need a solution that ignites the moment it was thrown on the ground, can you make it?" Zhang Qin Feng asked as he came out from the safehouse.
"Something that ignites the moment it touches the ground? Yes, that's possible. As long I have Wax, Mercury Sulphide, Boron, and two other elements, they can be made. Of course, we'll need a proper Silicate Capsule to protect the solution during transportation."
As it was her expertise, Valerian had no problem explaining what she needs to make what Zhang Qin Feng needed.
"What else you know to do using the element? Can you create something new out of what I can provide?" Zhang Qin Feng continued to question her. From his look, it seems like he found a treasure that nobody wanted.
"I'll need to know what the boss wanted before coming with the idea of what to do… I can't create something out of nowhere just because I am creative…" Valerian replied.
"Good! Then, I want you to create a battery. Do you think you can make it? I'll get the element and material back for you, so just put your time in creating something that can works!" Zhang Qin Feng said.
