Chapter 410: Prior To His Return (2)

"Then, what are you worried about? Just go. It's not like all of us have no idea how much you got on your plate." Satella smiled after speaking out what she had in her mind. But at the same time, it was evident that she was starting to feel the difficulties of turning herself around to face Zhang Qin Feng.

Her body has started to give up on itself as the Blood Petrification Disease eats her body from the inside. This is an irreversible symptom of her body. But compared to before, this body is doing much better, although the torture was still there.

"I've promised to give you all the time I had before leaving, so I'll be doing that, no matter what it takes. Else, I won't be qualified as your man." Zhang Qin Feng could sense that Satella was having a hard time moving her body.

His hand reached out and pulled her to his embrace after saying what he had in his mind. Right now, this sight between them was a memorable one that would stay in Satella's memory for as long as she could remember.

Their reflection on the mirror made Satella smile while she stared blankly at how Zhang Qin Feng looked while kissing the top of her head.

"Just go. Do I look like such a weak woman who needs you to be by my side at all times? You've been with me from the day I'm back out from that hollow, infected body of mine. That was already more than what I could ask for…" Satella said.

Her hand trembled a little, but it eventually reached Zhang Qin Feng's neck. Satella then gently touched the bite mark on the side of his neck.

"Was it painful?" she asked. Although she had lost her mind due to the Seed Crystal Virus, it was not like she had no recollection of what happened. The memory about how she went straight to Zhang Qin Feng's neck and bit it as hard as her jaw could still appear in her mind once in a while.

"No. Not as painful as the thought you'll be leaving me one day." Zhang Qin Feng said.

"Stupid. If you're infected, what will happen to everyone that lives under your ruling? Are you going to be that irresponsible to everyone else?" Satella used the strength she had left to pull herself closer to Zhang Qin Feng's lips.

Unsure if it was the side effect from exerting her strength or her disease, Satella started to feel dizzy and breathless after giving Zhang Qin Feng a kiss. Still, Satella was smiling deep inside her as she wouldn't regret it even if she passed away right now.

Zhang Qin Feng didn't refute nor reply to her words.

"Feng… I don't have too many days. After this, just let them keep me inside the vat until a suitable body for me is made. I'm not in a rush anyway. Just preserve the resources and strengthen our force first."

"Without a place to call home, it was pointless as what happened to us would happen again would eventually happen again. I would rather than you be sensible and make the correct decision, instead of insisting on something that hardly produces a result." Satella said.

Her words were coming out from the view of a bystander.

It's not like Zhang Qin Feng couldn't make such a decision himself. Still, he had difficulty going along with the ruthlessness in his decision.

This was his only weakness, which was having too much humane thought in his mind.

If Zhang Qin Feng was another typical clone like the others, he would have allocated all the resources to dominate the Carmine Union as soon as possible. After all, dominating a continent itself means Zhang Qin Feng would have all the help and right to develop under his control.

"Alright. We'll go according to what you said." Zhang Qin Feng nodded. The two rest inside the room for a while more.

At the end of the day, Satella's body could no longer resist the torture from the Blood Petrification Disease. To stop the damage from spreading to the brain, Satella was put into cold sleep.

Frew days later, two completed ships finally made their way into Zhang Qin Feng's Dimensional Storage as he prepared to sail towards the Carmine Continent.

Hoya was now officially promoted as the acting vice leader for Wind Base Group while Zhang Qin Feng was away. And standing beside him were Shaun and two other clones with Zhang Qin Feng's appearance.

This would be the frontline that would handle the base while he was away. The Vermilion Empress was also repositioned to the north of the shelter. This would dramatically reduce the time taken to sail around the island when the ships move out.

And without further ado, another supply trip was making its way towards the Carmine Continent. This time, Zhang Qin Feng won't be making his trip back to the base, as he would have to return to the modern world after handling all the important matters here.

The trip still took them three and a half-day to arrive at the Carmine Continent. But their landing process is more secured than as a direct entry across the golden signal interference sphere was made to keep electronics from getting fried.

"Boss!" Alex presented Zhang Qin Feng with a salute when the latter stepped down from the vessel. Coming along with him was raw materials and supplies enough for the base to run independently for half a year, give and take.

And within them were also some of the orders Alex made previously, like the vehicles, ammunition, and other tools.

"You know that I'm leaving soon, correct?" Zhang Qin Feng asked while he was in the APV Alex personally drove.

"Yes, Boss." Alex nodded.

"Then, I'll be leaving everything in your hand. Expansion is not essential, but development is. Make sure you don't overexpand our base and neglect the defense."

"Half a year. I'll be away for half a year and come back after that. Make sure everything is handled properly during this time I'm away with Tianci and Tianhuo, alright?" Zhang Qin Feng said.

"I will, Boss. Don't worry." Alex nodded as he replied.
