"Ms. Wang, I've been informed by Mr. Zhang about your arrival today. How can I help you?" Jason Deng approached Wang Yufei with the attitude of a president. He knew that their discussion right now was going to determine the relationship between Marianna and Dongcheng.

"Since Mr. President said so, this delegate won't be too reserved in her words. Actually, the country sent me here as a representative because we're trying to build an alliance between a few countries. I wonder if Mr. President has thought about this before?" Wang Yufei's approach even surprised Zhang Qin Feng, who was seated in between them.

"That will be up to the leader of alliance to decide. Dongcheng is willing to give up the opportunity to be elected until all participating countries are selected as the alliance leader at least once." Wang Yufei's second bomb came like a shock to Jason Deng and Zhang Qin Feng's ears.
This sounded like a complete subordination of the country for the same protection. If what Wang Yufei spoke here was heard by Jason Deng alone, without Zhang Qin Feng, she might have been kicked out of the presidential palace without a second thought.
"Ms. Wang, forgive me, but I'm puzzled by your country's decision. Dongcheng is not a tiny island and neither a weak nation. Why would it make such an irrational decision?" Jason Deng asked. Even if Zhang Qin Feng would reprimand him for doing what he wasn't told, he wished to know.
Because knowing it would allow him to escape from repeating the same mistake as Dongcheng did.
"Our country might look strong, but we're just an empty shell. The government was already at its last straw twenty years ago. If this continued for a little longer… I'm afraid Dongcheng would bankrupt overnight and get taken over by those people from the Pacific and Democratic Union." Wang Yufei's explanation is direct and precise, without a hint of forgery in her words.

It seems that everything started to click together and revealed an accurate picture of what was happening to the country. If this incident really happened twenty years ago, it explained why the government was losing its power.
"Does that means…" Zhang Qin Feng's words stopped in between as he got Stein to quickly search for all possible news related to Dongcheng's current financial capability. After multiple reports were found, it was then used to link the financial institution, national funds, etc.
The result turned out to be a shocking answer to Zhang Qin Feng when he found out that almost all Wang Yufei's word was right on the point.
Dongcheng Government is indeed weak. And the reason they're this soft is that it was a beautifully orchestrated show made by the Pacific and Democratic Union from behind the shadows.
