Fifteen minutes ago, just after Zhang Qin Feng gave out the order to open fire.
"Everyone to your battle station! I know this is your first time operating a boat of this class, but make sure you do everything according to what you've trained for!"
"This is not a drill, and I repeat, this is not a drill. Get to your battle station and be ready!" the captain said.
When the order to deploy was given, the Assailant-Class Patrol Ships started to have a few changes from its outlook. First was the controlling deck, which was covered with a piece of reinforced steel of unknown material.
The deck and ship's body also elongated by around two meters over the front and back. This made the ship about 129m long after the deployment. Three out of the five Assailant-Class Patrol Ships deployed CIWS turrets on the front and back.
As for the two remaining Assailant-Class, their arsenal is much crazier. The front of the ship was equipped with a double CIWS turret system, while the back had a twenty-tube DECIMATOR Warhead Launching System.
All the turret systems were completely automatic and running on an independent firing guidance software, allowing them to respond without manual control.
Of course, for safety reasons, the captain on each ship was given complete voice-control over the turret.
Their arsenals shocked those from Oceana Alliance for a moment, and this made them tried to show what their destroyer had. The two destroyers immediately deployed their respective four CIWS turrets and torpedo systems to regain some of their confidence.
Since both sides are unwilling to back down, they can only settle this through a face-to-face battle. And surprisingly, the one that ordered the attack wasn't Mason, the Commanding Officer for Marianna Naval Forces, but the Naval Officer from Oceana Alliance.
In a flash, a flame blazed from six CIWS turrets that belonged to the Oceana Alliance, and a hailstorm of bullets was coming at the three Assailant-Class Patrol Ships on the front.
It was considered an aggressive move to the sailors because a CIWS turret could fire over four thousand bullets per minute. With the travel time of around ten seconds, it is estimated that each turret fired no less than 700 bullets towards the three Assailant-Class Patrol Ships.
But what happened next made the soldiers both shocked and afraid.
The six CIWS turrets from the three Assailant-Class Patrol Ship retaliated and shot down every bullet coming from the Oceana Alliance. The explosion and mess they're expected not only did not happened but were openly controlled.
Then, the CIWS from Marianna's Naval Forces responded.
A tooth for a tooth. A bullet for a bullet.
It was evident that the firing rate of the Assailant-Class CIWS is higher than those from Oceana Alliance. The turret's flexibility as well, because when it opened fire, it was like six fiery dragons came at them.
Two frigates and eight patrol ships were sunken in a single confrontation. The chain explosions were all they saw before the boats were filled with water and went into the water.
It happened in less than thirty seconds. And that fear immediately made the Naval Officer ordered the remaining ships to go all out. But he was considered too late.
Their following action was in the system's expectation. Even before the torpedoes and turrets managed to get into their way, the two heavily armed Assailant-Class Patrol Ship already took the precaution and attacked them ruthlessly.
The Decimator Warheads were launched at each section with weaponry at once. With twenty tubes of missiles ready to be fired at once, there are more missiles than the destroyer's state of art arsenals.
It was another chain of explosions coming all around the two destroyers. Those ships situated right beside the destroyers also shared the same fate as they were used to satiate the wrath of the forty tubes of Decimator Missiles.
Only two frigates and a patrol ship managed to avoid their fate of getting sunk because of their positioning. The defeat of seventeen ships made them immediately retreated without a second thought.
The battle had concluded by the time the remaining ships from Marianna Naval Forces arrived.
And when the report came to the office, both sides responded differently.
Jason Deng and Zhang Qin Feng were smiling as they ordered the Naval Forces to remain there for a few days before pulling back.
As for the Oceana Alliance's office, there's a grim atmosphere all over the meeting room. It was estimated that at least three to four hundred sailors fell in this battle, along with warships worth around a few billion dollars in total.
"Let us raze the damn island and turn it into a nuclear testing site! I'm itchy to try what our Mother of Ocean Warhead can do anyway!" said one of the representatives seated on the discussion table.
"Quiet! Do you have no shame? This happened because we're underestimating Marianna's technology too much. Don't you all think so?" another representative said.
"I beg to differ. Everyone here has seen the naval forces' power now, but it's only five patrolling-class warships. I suggest that we take them down before Marianna brings out more surprises to us." this time, a female representative interrupted in their conversation.
She might seem like a gentle and demure lady from her appearance. Still, she's, in fact, was the acting general of her country and also a representative for this Oceana Alliance table.
"Supreme General Joan, I trust you, but right now, it's not the time for us to do so. What if we underestimated Marianna's strength and ended up creating the opportunity for the other three to try and swallow us?"
"We won't know if Marianna is with either one of them. At least from what I can see, a small island like that can't possess such advanced technology. I'm sure it came from one of the three." a representative seated in the middle said.
From the look of it, he was the core representative in this Oceana Alliance.
"Then, what you're suggesting, Supreme General Ramias?" the one called Joan asked.
"Let's see if we can get to the core of this matter. From what I heard… Everything comes from a local company called Wind Base Group."
"We should send a few female agents and see what we could get from them. Even if it doesn't work, we can at least get this boss of the Wind Base Group to stand closer to our side." Supreme General Ramias chuckled.
