A charged bullet narrowly missed Alex's ear as it struck the Satella Clone coming at him.
It was evident that this Tyrant-Type would have to pay for its recklessness for trying to sneak an attack at Alex while Zhang Qin Feng is still guarding them against afar.
Furthermore, with the Luna Device on his wrist, how can Zhang Qin Feng fail to spot the incoming Satella Clone?
The system has been upgraded, after all! Suppose it still failed to notice the arrival of the Satella Clone from this distance. Won't the 15,000 Duranium Shards be wasted for a useless upgrade?
"Don't keep standing there. Come back." Zhang Qin Feng said and added another shot at the Tyrant-Type twitching on the ground. The fire around it only made the situation worst as it struggled to get away from the flames and Zhang Qin Feng's attack.
But the window of opportunity only lasted for less than half a minute before more zombies coming through the flames and covered the Satella Clone.
Knowing that it would be impossible for him to take that Satella Clone easily, Zhang Qin Feng didn't feel bad or unfortunate. To him, being able to return in a piece without losing a single soldier was fortunate enough.
And by relying on the truck's moving speed, they quickly got out of the motorway and entered the road leading to the woods. Leaving the highway might be a good idea, but that was just to avoid the situation of getting surrounded by the zombies.
They're not considered out of danger yet.
The zombies from both up and down joined together and formed a more enormous army of zombies after following Zhang Qin Feng's track to a minor road.
Unlike the spacious motorway with eleven lanes, this minor road was only four lanes wide. Even by adding in the pavement on both sides, it was at most five-and-a-half lanes wide.
It would be much easier for Zhang Qin Feng to defend this location compared to a motorway where they can get overwhelmed by the zombies here and there. While over here, there's only one way the zombie can come from, and it was through the road itself.
"How many Decimator Grenades we have left?" Zhang Qin Feng asked.
"Six shots, boss!" Alex replied. This means that only three soldiers had their shots left on their Thunderbolt Rifle's attachment.
"Alright. Fire at the zombies on my command. Continue what we're doing so far, and let us keep them off from this road before going home." said Zhang Qin Feng.
"Yes, Sir!" the team quickly gets themselves prepared for the incoming wave. This time, it wouldn't be as simple as before because the three Tyrant-Type would've gathered together and formed into a group of a larger army.
As for Zhang Qin Feng's team, they'll eventually run out of stamina and juices from all the fighting. Furthermore, they hardly left with the supercharged ammunition that works wonders against the Tyrant-Type.
This means it would almost be impossible for them to repeat what they've been doing on the motorway earlier.
"Woo…" the sound of a typical zombie alerted all of them. The army of zombies soon made their appearance by attacking Zhang Qin Feng and his team with a large number. There are at least six to seven hundred zombies here gathered to break Zhang Qin Feng's barricade.
"Grenades!" Zhang Qin Feng shouted. Six explosions soon followed as the walls of flames were almost everywhere.
And as they've been expecting, the Tyrant-Type's scream came not long after that. The zombies once again charged through the burning flames and fell one after another. But this did not deter the zombies from keep trying.
The flames eventually vanish when the number of zombies was more than the flame wall could handle.
But it had bought enough time for Zhang Qin Feng and his team. Once the zombie ran out of the flames, they would be fed with a barrage of bullets.
Unfortunately, things happened just like Zhang Qin Feng's prediction.
With the lacking of supercharged ammunition, it was much harder to control the zombies than before. The scene where a single bullet taking out two to three zombies was no more as they had to keep firing until the zombie has fallen on the ground.
Everything changed the moment a Tyrant came and joined the shooting party. Through the arms capable of throwing heavy debris as a flying projectile, the Tyrant immediately turned the battle to the zombie's favor.
This situation brought Zhang Qin Feng to despair. Their current arsenal is evidently not enough to handle the zombies effectively. Having more soldiers helping might work, but they won't be keeping this momentum for long.
Furthermore, it was not easy for the soldiers to keep firing the supercharged ammunition. Two mags or a total of 100 bullets are the most they can take before their hand went cramp from all the jackhammer-adrenaline pumping action.
They would be risking the soldier's senses in their arms if they went overboard with it.
"Incoming!" Alex shouted. The team of soldiers quickly disperse as the projectile fell just a meter away from the back of the truck, where Zhang Qin Feng is standing. And based on the Tyrant's action, it was going to throw another projectile soon.
"Alex! Full retreat! It's time to use that secret weapon!" Zhang Qin Feng ordered. From the look of it, he was trying to keep it secret until there's no other choice.
Unfortunately, he can no longer hold it until they arrived at Turbine Town.
Alex immediately pulled the soldiers off as they quickly scrambled and returned to the truck. The driver was a smart one to know that its time to pick their speed and retreat.
In Zhang Qin Feng's hand was a cylindrical shape grenade with a pin. It looks more like a remote detonator.
All he had to do is pressing down the button and keep it that way until he tossed it far from their location.
The zombies were chasing them closely the moment they passed the wall of flames.
"Let's do this!" Zhang Qin Feng used all his might to toss that Wolfram Light out. He has been waiting for this moment where the zombies were spread out and covered most of the road.
And just like its name, the detonated Wolfram Light generated a blinding light comparable to when he was going through the Dimensional Transfer.
They're blinded and deafened for a moment due to the detonation.
