Chapter 262: Back To Turbine Town (4)

"Keep firing at the zombies. Those with Decimator on you, get them ready right now!" Satella instructed them and tossed a few shockwave grenades at the zombie crowd to blew them apart. It was pointless as the zombie horde was too much, but it could at least give them a little more time.

But the slight disturbance to handle the incoming crowd allowed the Satella clone to hide. Apparently, the charged bullet from Satella was quite effective, although it was not enough to kill it.

Based on that resistance and power alone, the Satella clone had durability comparable to a Tyrant.

"Let's retreat!" Satella ordered. It was pointless for them to keep shooting at the aggressive zombies coming at them in a wave of dead bodies. If they're unlucky, this was a one-way ticket straight to infection and death.

And with the prototype exoskeleton helping them, their limbs got turbo-powered. A thought was all they needed to receive the embedded chip's support.

Each and everyone sprinted away like a world-class sprinter, halfway catching up with the truck Marvin is in.

But to their surprise, one more blip vanished from Marvin's tablet computer as that unlucky soldier got mauled by the Satella Clone that appeared at the right place at and the right time.

"SH*T!" Satella prepared to shoot the clone from where she was, but it wasn't alone.

"Vice-Boss!" another soldier sacrificed himself and rammed the flat-chested clone to create a distance between his angel and the demon.

"I'll die with…" he was halfway delivering his speech before losing his life from a bite to his throat. The second Satella Clone that was sneaking looked delighted as it sucked the blood dry from this unlucky soldier.

"Damn it!" Satella wanted to enact revenge for her subordinates, but it was not the right time at this moment. Only five soldiers were left by her side as they continue to sprint and chase up with Marvin's truck.

She was about to lose her self-control.

Luckily, the subordinates around her know her temperament. Three of them stopped moving and retaliated by firing their Centurion indiscriminately. As for the other two, They blocked Satella's line of sight and forcefully pushed her further to leave before them.

"AHH!" one more cry came less than ten seconds later. The third Satella clone appeared and mauled another soldier to death. Without the power of electricity paralyzing this monster, they had no way at all in controlling their own fate.

The two remaining soldiers only managed to last for half a minute before everyone was mauled by the three Satella clones.

"Vice-Boss… Everything is up to you…" the two subordinates of hers stay at their position. The Decimator Rocket Launcher on their shoulder was activated as they turned around and fired at the incoming zombie's wave.

*BANG! BANG!*

Two explosions happened close to each other and were followed by gunshots in automatic mode. But once again, it only lasted for half a minute before both of them fell.

Perhaps, they already knew their fate. Using the Luna Device to control their electronics, the two ordered their personal device to detonate all munition on them after their death. The Luna Device in their possessions executed its last order faithfully.

"Toot!"

"Toot!"

The munition detonated and created a crater at least five meters wide.

When the fire was no longer as intense as before, the zombies already disband and returned to their usual behavior. And not a single corpse was on the ground. Those that died under this attack ended up getting eaten by the zombies that are still moving around.

"Feng, can you listen to me?" Satella tried to connect her Luna Device with Zhang Qin Feng.

All the prototype exoskeletons were gone in this battle against three tyrant-equivalent beings. Only Satella, Marvin, and the driver of the truck are left in this group right now. The last prototype is on Satella, but she doubted how long she can continue to use it.

All the sprinting, moving, and escaping would have worn this exoskeleton out. And while trying to connect with Marvin, Satella requested Marvin to come to her side and give her a hand.

That decision eventually saved Marvin's life as a projectile was flying at the head of the truck. The impact caused Satella and Marvin to get thrown out of the car along with the Reprinter Unit. It seems that the machinery is fated for its destruction.

As for the driver, he was quite an unlucky one to get squished into a pile of pulp from the impact.

"ROAR!" a generic, three-meter-tall Tyrant appeared out of nowhere and attacked Satella and Marvin.

Their situation was akin to entering the wolf's den after escaping from the lion's jaw. For a moment here, it felt like heaven was bent on taking Satella and Marvin's life.

"Bring it on!" Satella lost her patience. A hidden syringe on her thigh was taken out and injected forcefully into her neck as she no longer finds a reason to maintain her sense and responsibility.

At this instant, Zhang Qin Feng's Luna Device flashed and started to vibrate. There are only two lines of words written there.

*Steelskin Activated / Haste Activated*

"Alex, follow me!" Zhang Qin Feng grabbed the nearest Thunderbolt Rifle from the nearest subordinate around him and jumped out of the Wind Base's wall. His action caught Alex by surprise as he had no idea that his boss does have some skills.

"Stein! How far am I from Satella?" Zhang Qin Feng asked as he sprinted with all his might. Just like her, he had Stein injected the two serums on him.

[Five minutes]

The system replied.

"Please, let me make it!" Zhang Qin Feng continued. About three minutes after their departure, the soldiers on standby all left the base in a hurry. Everyone is armed with the latest weaponry after receiving Zhang Qin Feng's Code Red alert.

Back to the battle between Satella and the Tyrant…

Satella was looking no different from the clones they encountered earlier as they escaped for their lives. If there's a must to look for one difference between them, it would have to be their chest size.

Right now, Satella was holding the Tyrant's head in her hand. The flesh around the neck wasn't as clean as a cut from a blade. It was evident that such a wound can only appear if it was dismembered by force.
