"What you got in mind? Speak out. Just give me a manager position will do." Fatty Xie jokes but patiently waiting for Zhang Qin Feng to continue. Even Tang Xin stopped eating and focus on what Zhang Qin Feng is going to say.
"Let's get the worker to change another grill. I'll make something for you guys to taste first." Zhang Qin Feng smiled and raised his hand up for the restaurant staff's attention. After giving them some tips for changing a new grilling stove, Zhang Qin Feng opened a pack with an A6 Steak inside.
The meat juices immediately evaporated the moment the steak came in contact with the hot grill. Even with the ventilating fan above their table, the alluring aroma from the meat still managed to escape from getting sucked away and spreads to the nearby table.
It caught the diner's attention when the smell passes their table. Instantly, everyone in the restaurant is searching for the source. Their eyes soon arrive at Zhang Qin Feng's table, where he's still busy grilling the beef.
The aroma made everyone wanted to get to their table and check what they're grilling on the stove.
"What meat is this? To think it smells so delicious before it was ready for serving." Tang Xin said while shooting a video using her smartphone. The sight of Zhang Qin Feng cooking the meat turned out to be beautifully taken through her skills with the camera.
The nicely grilled meat was placed on top of a plate for it to rest. After a while, the trio cut the steak into pieces to have a taste. The face of the two turned into a moment of delight when it entered Fatty Xie and Tang Xin's mouths.
This was the first time they're having such a delicious, high-quality beef steak.
But Zhang Qin Feng has no intention to stop there. He opened another vacuum-sealed packaging for three Jewel Lobster's Tails and placed them on top of the grill. This time, he had no intention of monitoring the flame because it was already optimal to cook the lobster meat.
All he needs is to remove the tail from the flame when it started to turn red like a ruby jewel.
"Damn! What are you trying to do? Come on and speak! Don't make us curious here!" Fatty Xie was caught drooling while he speaks. It seems he was impatient about trying that lobster tails. Luckily, Tang Xin can still keep herself in check as she holds the camera properly while recording how the lobster's color turned.
"Alright, alright… The plan is like this…" Zhang Qin Feng used both index fingers to get Fatty Xie and Tang Xin closer to him. When the two moved their head closer to the grill, Zhang Qin Feng started to whisper something to them.
"I want to open a processing factory, maybe a small one to start. If both of you are interested, why not help me to take care of it? Don't worry about the initial budget. I'll take the money out first, and we can be business partners together."
"The product will eventually get distributed or served by Fei-Fei's restaurant, but we might plan to open a new restaurant to push these products further. Right now, what we have is this A6 Steak and Imitation Jewel Lobster's Tail."
"But in the future, we'll have more than this. Do you want to be a part of this together?" Zhang Qin Feng asked. Zhang Qin Feng felt that he has no need to hide from two of his best friends. Since both of them had difficulties getting into a promising career, Zhang Qin Feng might as well bring them both along to their success.
Furthermore, their friendship was much more than all of this. Thinking back then, Tang Xin was the one keep paying for their meal when they're still in secondary school. As for Fatty Xie, he was the one that stays by Zhang Qin Feng's side, no matter if he's sick, discouraged, tired, or restless.
The two of them were counted as a part of his family members deep inside his heart.
"Let's do it. I'll pay you back all the capital, with interest, when we earn from the business." Fatty Xie said. He hates to owe people a favor, especially not from close friends like Zhang Qin Feng. But at the same time, he knew that he'll need such a push to be successful.
For anything else that will come later on, he would rather worry about them later, instead of now.
"What about you, Tang Xin?" Zhang Qin Feng asked.
"I'm going to use my free-food-for-life ticket!" she opened the bag and took her smaller wallet out. From the sound of it, she had a hidden weapon while seated with both of them.
After digging for a while, a small birthday card was taken out from the wallet. That birthday card is at least more than five years old.
"Oh god! To think that you're still keeping this card in your wallet!" Fatty Xie screamed. He has that afraid look on his face like it was an emperor's mandate. Even Zhang Qin Feng was shaking his head after he saw that birthday card.
"Shall I read it?" Tang Xin said as she opened the card.
"I, Zhang Qin Feng, and Xie Rong promised that we'll be paying for Tang Xin's expenditure when all of us are grown-up and successful. If anyone of us dares to not honor our promise, we will stay single for the rest of our life until this debt is cleared." Tang Xin read what was on the card, word by word.
"See! I told you to not give her that damn card!" Fatty Xie wrapped his hand around Zhang Qin Feng as he regretted what they had done when they're younger.
"Let - Let go… Who knew she'll keep it until now…" Zhang Qin Feng followed with the act and slapped Fatty Xie's arm asking for forgiveness. The laughter filled the table as the three argued and debated who's paying and who's not.
Eventually, Tang Xin would win, as she was the most precious person for the other two.
