"Please let me make the suitable adjustment. If you don't mind, please return after half an hour, and the engraving will be done by then," said Mr. Wang as he hands the trays with jewelry to his colleague.
While he was doing so, another colleague came with a payment machine to process Zhang Qin Feng's purchase over the pair of engagement rings. Since Zhang Qin Feng was someone who prefers simplicity over obvious luxury items, the ring he's chosen has no diamonds nor jewels attached to it.
As for the one Wang Yufei chosen, it comes with three modest diamonds, about 1.5 carats each. Zhang Qin Feng did tell her to choose something more excellent, but it seems she had her own reserves when it comes to jewelry.
"What if the diamond falls into the food while I have to serve the host table sometimes?"
"What will the wedding couple thinks if I am wearing jewelry more expensive than their banquet?"
"Will the people take me seriously if I looked like a peacock that displays my wealth in work?"
These were all her concerns when it comes to choosing the ring she likes. In the end, she decided to make it simple and modest. But the ring she's selected weren't cheap either.
Perhaps, the most uncomplicated design was the most expensive one.
As for Mr. Wang, he didn't notice that his grinning face was caught by Zhang Qin Feng while going back to the office with the pair of engagement rings.
"What shall we get for lunch while waiting for the engraving to be done?" Zhang Qin Feng asked Wang Yufei.
"I'm looking forward to some Han Cuisine today. What about we get to the third level and check the Han Cuisine Restaurant there? From the online review, their food presentation and taste are amazing." Wang Yufei replied.
Her mood is definitely much better after shopping for a ring to slot into her finger.
And since the break for an office worker is long over, the restaurant was looking as empty as possible. After making a walk-in, the two were escorted to the table nearest to the window to enjoy the scenery on the lower ground hall.
"This was my first time eating in this restaurant. Is there any chef recommendation that you can suggest to us?" asked Wang Yufei.
"Of course. If you can handle spiciness well, please allow me to suggest you on our today's special. It was a triple beef stew with marinated cabbage and served with thick beef slices grilled under a slow charcoal flame."
"It might sound complicated, but I can assure you that this was the finest dish our restaurant has to offer." the waitress said. There's a hint of weight in the words she has spoken. Furthermore, she's different from the other waitress if Zhang Qin Feng would have something to comment about.
"Then, we'll go with your suggestion. Please serve it along with some side dishes that are suitable for a table of two." Wang Yufei said. She doesn't seem to be a person that fancies looking through the menu to order her food.
The waitress nodded at Wang Yufei and left with the two menu booklets in her hand. Then, another waitress came to their table, opened a sparkling water bottle beside them, and filled their glasses.
After a while, Zhang Qin Feng started to speak.
"Do you have an idea what you've ordered without looking at the menu?" Zhang Qin Feng asked. Even he would find it difficult to picture what kind of dishes they're ordering without looking at the pictures printed on the menu.
"Of course. Don't forget that I'm a restaurateur. I am just testing the waitress to see how experienced she is in her job, in case I am looking to poach her to work in my restaurant." Wang Yufei replied while taking a sip of the water from the glass.
While she was doing that, her sharp gaze landed on the glass to check if there's any staining present. She does look like someone that got addicted to her job while she did that.
"Unfortunately, this woman couldn't be poached." Wang Yufei pouted. There's a hint of disappointment behind her words.
"Why would you say so?" Zhang Qin Feng asked.
"Her nametag was a trainee nametag, but from her words, she looked more experienced than the others. From what I can tell, she should be a family member of the restaurant's owner." Wang Yufei replied.
"Oh? Can you even see through this? What are you, psychic?" Zhang Qin Feng chuckled while extending his hand to the glass of water.

"The owner of this business started at the western district before coming here last year to rent this space out for his expansion. Their food was so-so, but I heard that they recently hired a new chef."
"My reason for coming here today is to see how is their food, and would it be a competitor to my business. If it did, I'd have to start to revise my menu before it was too late." Wang Yufei added.
"Wow… My wife, you're scary when you talk about business." Zhang Qin Feng smiled.
"Of course. Do you think having a big restaurant here in the southern district is an easy thing to do? You'll have to experience up and down competitors and gossips before getting to the restaurant's fame today." Wang Yufei said.
