Chapter 187: Killing the Tyrant (2)

"Since she was a recently turned Tyrant, do you know where her weakness is located? We can't continue like this. The ammunition we had is limited. I'm sure you won't like it if we cannot contain that monster at the end of the day." Zhang Qin Feng said.

"We do know something, but we're not sure if it was a weakness or not. Our ex-boss might be afraid of flames. Whenever it was morning, tumors will grow all over the body and started a chain of breakout. During that time, it seems unbearably painful." said Shaun, who monitored the ex-boss most of the time.

"Also, I'm suggesting this because I believe that new flesh that grows out from the breakout should be weaker than the skin she had right now. This might be our one and only chance to get through her defenses."

"But we didn't go further than that because she's always seen around the radioactive material. We're worried that going overboard will ignite all the material and created a disaster worst than the virus outbreak." Shaun added.

"That will be our only chance. Let's take advantage while the Tyrant is away from the radioactive material to verify your guesses." Zhang Qin Feng said. He waved at Satella to tell her that they're going down.

"Keep two bullets for an emergency!" Zhang Qin Feng said.

"BANG!" Satella fired the last shot at the Tyrant and kept the two bullets until Zhang Qin Feng's order.

Getting down to the ground floor and changing the harness into a new one, Zhang Qin Feng allowed the magnet to do what it was made for. The warhead and the rocket tube were attached closely to get itself prepared for the firing sequence.

"You two. Get to my officers and pass this warhead to them." Zhang Qin Feng gave two of the Decimator's warheads to Shaun and Tane before ordering them to deliver them to Alex and Queenie.

"We'll deliver it right away!" the two cooperated without a hint of complaint in their mind.

They were moving as fast as they could to deliver Zhang Qin Feng's order. By the time all the preparation is ready, the three stands slightly taller than the other soldiers and point the Decimator Rocket Launcher at the Tyrant.

"Full attack! Get rid of the zombies right now!" Zhang Qin Feng's instruction was clear and precise.

The soldiers immediately popped out from their cover and fired their guns without reservation. Those that had their mags emptied quickly changed to a new one before he continued. In a blink of an eye, the remaining hundred or so zombies were slaughtered like livestock.

"Now! Fire!" Zhang Qin Feng's following order had Alex and Queenie's attention as the three warheads went straight at the Tyrant. The warhead from his current harness was slightly different as it adapted a hint of Miria and Miriam's Wolfram Light's technique in its creation.

The warhead was meant to be incendiary ammunition if they got overwhelmed by the zombies when they're on their way. It was meant to be given to the leaders only. This is also why only Zhang Qin Feng had it on him.

To make sure it doesn't get into Zhang Qin Feng's way when changing the harness, Victor made sure to color the warhead with blood-red paint from tip to tail.

Upon explosion, the Tyrant was covered by a sea of flames all around it. And like how Shaun and Tane reported, the fire causes the tumors to start growing all over its body, to the point it exploding in mere minutes. The process continued over and over again, without a hint of stopping in between.

It looked torturing even to the Tyrant itself. The monster was struggling on the ground like a pile of undying flesh that kept growing, exploding and repeat.

And to test how effective this tactic was, Zhang Qin Feng put aside the Decimator Rocket Launcher on his hand and shifted to the Centurion Custom. The rifle was already set on charging after he replaced the used mag with a brand new mag.

"Du-Du-Du…" the lens turned green, indicating the bullet's charging was ready.

The moment the rifle was fired, it went through the Tyrant's flesh like shooting through a block of meat made from tofu. Even the walls after the flesh were turned into gravels from the impact.

"Focus your fire on that Tyrant! Take it down now!" Zhang Qin Feng ordered. The moment he gave such an order, the thirty-one soldiers with two leaders concentrated their attack on that Tyrant.

The monster was caught in the line of fire with over a hundred bullets in a second. It was like a chunk of ice that turned into smaller pieces time after time until the regeneration ability could not cope with the damage.

Eventually, the Tyrant was only left with a core about the size of an adult head. An intention to check this monster out suddenly appeared in his mind, but he soon regretted his idea. He was merely a few steps away before the Tyrant Core tried to attack him with a tentacle that comes with a sting at the tip.

"BOSS!" Alex fiercely fired his rifle to keep the tentacle away from Zhang Qin Feng as Queenie lunged herself to pull Zhang Qin Feng away from danger.

But their effort was almost for nothing as the Tyrant Core get fiercer in its last struggle. By the time the attack almost reaches Zhang Qin Feng, something happened.

"BANG!" the loud sound from the Lunacy Anti-Material Rifle was fired without getting Zhang Qin Feng's approval. That powerful force from that shot immediately turned the Tyrant's core into pieces as the bullet went through its already soft and fragile flesh.

[Toot…]

[No more life activity is found from the Tyrant. Would the user like to absorb whatever is left from the scattered remains?]

'Do it…' Zhang Qin Feng nodded while he was still in Queenie's embrace. He had lost count of just how many times has he brushed side by side with the death.

[The process is complete. Congratulation, User. This facility is now yours]
