Chapter 175: Fire! Fire!
The worm-like creatures burst out of the exit after Zhang Qin Feng screamed at Alex and the others. Unlike Alex and the other guy looking at the door from the start, the two soldiers positioned by the door were shocked by the monsters pouring out from the exit.
Luckily, those that were coming out of the door were the younger creatures from the pack. Attacking straight on was all they knew how to charge forward like a cannonball attack like the older one.
Their jaws and teeth were also weaker, making the effort of trying to bite or drill through concrete walls and steel almost pointless. But human flesh won't be a problem to them, even if it was fortified by the Steelskin buff provided by the Physique Serum.
"OPEN FIRE! OPEN FIRE!" Alex screamed. Sparks from the gunpowder repeatedly flashed as he pulled the trigger like a paintball player. He and the guy beside him were the earliest to react as they focused their attack on the incoming monsters coming from the ground. The other two were retreating slowly while shooting at the monsters creeping on the walls all around them.
"Keep moving! Don't stay in that position for long! The monsters have multiple attacking patterns!" Zhang Qin Feng said. But he was a few seconds too late as one of the two soldiers closest to the door got swallowed by two worms falling on top of him. His death allowed Zhang Qin Feng to witness another attacking pattern from the monsters.
It was by using the short legs theirs that's capable of latching and punching through the concrete like a drill. Once you were grabbed by the monster, there's almost 0 percent chance of surviving.
The death of a colleague made the other soldier standing by the door panic.
This made him quickly make a mistake and accidentally pulled the pin to eject the bullet. One bullet is yet to leave, and another tries to get into the chamber. To make it worst, this was a condition that cannot be solved without using a proper tool to force the shell out.
And the situation only made him reacted worst than expected. Instead of throwing the rifle away and pulled his pistol or running towards Zhang Qin Feng and the others, he continued to pull the trigger.
"Ah! Ah! Ahh!!!" that was the last they heard from him become he was buried under the pack of worm-like creatures.
The death of the two soldiers gave Zhang Qin Feng, Alex, and another guy a short window of time to escape.
"Drive!" Alex grabbed the one and only soldier good in automotive to press the pedal and get the truck moving. While the military truck was on the move, Zhang Qin Feng made sure the door was locked and shut nicely. He remembered that from ten or more blockbuster movies he watched before, half of the survivors died because the car's door was opened from the outside.
"Boss! There's a wall of cars in front of us!" the driving soldier said.
"Only two cars blocking us. Drive through them! Step on the pedal as hard as you can!" Zhang Qin Feng replied. Using the leisure of seated on the backseat undisturbed, Zhang Qin Feng pulled a warhead out from his harness and let the magnet does the remaining work for him.

The lens turns green as it was ready to be fired.
But the next problem quickly arises. It seems that the power control on the windows was not working. It didn't come across Zhang Qin Feng's mind that to make sure the battery lasts longer, Alex had the mechanism shut down, along with few other functions. Worst of all, it seems he had the auto ventilation system shut as well, making the air inside the truck getting worst by the seconds.
This made Zhang Qin Feng had the urge to give Alex's head a knock. Too bad, he knew that Alex did not do this on purpose. There were only cars blocking them on their path, so it's no wonder he would make such a decision. Furthermore, with only a single Atom Battery Pack was given to each of them, why would they waste such precious resources?
Electricity was like gold in Zhang Qin Feng's world. Even if a person was plunging into hell, he would have hugged the gold and not the tree that could save him.

"Vice-Boss, if I'm not mistaken, all we need is to travel ten more miles, and we'll arrive at our next stop," Queenie said. She sounded like she's in a hurry to generate some results, but in fact, she was not. She just hates staying here and wasting their time waiting for Alex to come out from the Shangwen Tunnel.

"It's the sound of explosives! Cars sounded like they're thrown off left and right! What was happening in there? Don't tell me there's a horde of Tyrants coming out?" Queenie said while pulling the pin of her rifle. She then pointed at a few soldiers to follow her over to the tunnel's exit.
"Everyone else, maintain your position and get ready to fire on my command. Those with Decimator Rocket Launchers, get them armed and ready. And bring my Sniper Rifle here." said Satella.
"Incoming! It's a vehicle! I think it has to be Alex!" the two soldiers by the tunnel's exit came back in a hurry and screamed. It seems that their report about what they've seen produced two different reactions from Satella.
"Keep your gun pointed forward!" Satella ordered.
**Whoosh!**
The Military Truck runs through the two last wrecked vehicles blocking it as it came out at full speed. A person's silhouette can be seen protruding out from the vehicle's sunroof.
"SATELLA! FIRE! FIRE!" Zhang Qin Feng shouts as he pointed at the tunnel.
