Chapter 491 Victor's Transformation.

It is said in many holy books that the serpent deceived Eve to partake of the fruit of good and evil.

Many speculate that it was Lucifer Morningstar who did this, coming in the form of a familiar creature, to lure god's most favorite creation from the path of righteousness.

Whether it was truly the 'Devil' or not was not a statement many should boldly declare, even though many did. Nevertheless, one thing was true.

And that was the fact that Eve was seduced by the power of suggestion.

This power was one that only the Morningstar was known to have.

After all, that was how he convinced even heavenly beings to rebel against the Creator in the heavens.

That same power of suggestion, now a skill that Lenny possessed called influencer, was the power that Lenny used to manipulate the yarn of thoughts that muddled in Victor's head and, in turn, induce a bend in his emotions.

Lenny knew clearly what was happening.

In his former world, this was a psychological concept known as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

The idea speculated that thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and behavior were all connected. This meant that what people felt affected what they thought, and what they thought, in turn, affected what they felt.

An example would be a student who suddenly remembered an assignment that had now become overdue. The resulting emotions would be fear and sadness, which would in turn result in panic.

Although this was an entirely different scenario, the concept was still the same. And the skill 'Influencer' played the role of the sculptor and Victor's mind, the clay.

As Lenny spoke, he could see the change in Victor's eye.

It went from confusion to focus, and then to outright rejection of circumstances.

A storm had been ignited in the boy's heart, and it screamed from the pit of his being.

Stay here and die a miserable death, or go out there and enjoy glorious battles like those of his father.

The choice was obvious.

He had seen from the hundreds of memories the kind of pain that this place would bring.

That glimpse was enough to push him.

Victor could see it in Lenny's eyes.

Lenny truly had no intentions whatsoever to help him.

Moses could not even move.

If he waited here, he would lose himself like the others on the walls.

NO! He could not allow it. He would not let it happen.

In his head, the expectation of many who had given their lives for him stirred him up. Their smile, their words—but more than anything, he needed to do this for himself.

Yes, he needed to do this for 'HIMSELF'.

His zeal and will for life made him suddenly struggle.

He wriggled violently against the d*cks that held him in place.

His muscles bulged not just on his forearms but also on his neck and forehead. His skin turned red in the process, and he could feel a scream from the depths of his soul.

This scream seemed like it had always been there, but he had just never listened to it.

It made his blood rush, and he felt the sudden fatigue from struggling so much wash away like a tide.

All of a sudden, a renowned energy filled his cells.

Victor himself was not sure of what was happening, but the anger in him fueled his desire for change.

This was anger over everything. It was anger at himself for being so useless. It was anger over always crying for help. It was anger for being comfortable with his laziness. It was anger for letting his stepbrother, Curtin, push him around. It was anger for letting the world push him around.

These different forms of anger morphed in his blood, mixing into the birth of an enraged being.

Therefore, it is fueling the rise of something subtle and deep.

All of a sudden, Victor's hair slowly became darker, morphing from its usual white color to a shade never before seen.

Moses had been listening all the while, and now he could see it as it happened.

He could not believe his eyes. After all, Victor was doing it.

He was transforming, and this, being his first transformation, was going to be a very painful and hellish process. After all, his bones were going to break and remodel themselves. His muscles would tear and expand, causing a rapid state of wear and tear all over his body. However, Victor gritted his teeth as he pained through it.

The pain he felt from this transformation was nothing compared to the pain of remaining on these walls.

Naturally, the old woman noticed as his transformation began. Her brows frowned, and the male appendages holding him to the wall for her work became tighter.

However, Victor's struggle only became fiercer.

His mouth had been sewn shut, but the transformation had already begun its process. A process that Victor must finish.

His mouth suddenly began the elongation process. However, his mouth was sealed shut, not allowing his jaw to protrude appropriately.

Just then, Victor looked once more into Lenny's eyes. It was as if he were looking for the approval of his father.

Without hesitating, he pushed the change even more.

Normally, his mouth was supposed to be open to allow the large fangs the necessary space to come out.

However, this was not possible.

Nevertheless, Victor pushed for the transformation.

His sharp fangs, with no room to change, pierced through his cheeks, and then the protruding force pushed for the unlocking of his mouth.

The thread used by the old woman was made from human muscle and tendons.

There was no way that he would have been able to break its bind.

However, that was still not an excuse. Since he could not break the bind, he was going to discard the mouth entirely.

And that was exactly what he did.

It was a gruesome sight to behold, as Victor's jaws burst his mouth open, literally tearing it from his face.

The rest of his body also followed suit.

It was as if he were a butterfly, tearing out of its cocoon, except in this case, it was skin...
