As Lenny and Perseus went up the stairs, Tobi really wanted to follow.

After all, he had been to this place many times but had never gone up there.

Over a long period of time, a curious pull as to what was hidden in the upper level pulled him constantly.

Then again, he was a pirate, and his sharp, well-honed instinct had kept him alive for so long.

He was not so foolish as to say that he was willing to risk his life just because Lenny had told him to come up.

After all, Lenny was strong, and apparently, so was Perseus.

But these were Magi, and the subtle chaos their kind were capable of performing with negative magic was inherently always life-threatening.

As a pirate who loved life as much as treasures, the safety of downstairs was definitely more affordable.

Tobi decided not to follow the obvious agents of problems that went up the stairs.

Lenny reached the top.

He could not help but look around.

This place was built prettier than the lower region.

It was also bigger and brighter.

The decorations on the wall were also quite artistic.

And lastly, the air smelled better.

Evidently, it had been well perfumed.

Lenny nodded at this as he turned to Perseus.

Perseus also nodded back at him, acknowledging the beauty of the place.

Both of them walked over to free seats at a particular corner.

However, the moment the both of them stepped into this place, the clamoring that had been heard before immediately stopped as a small group of students dressed in long red robes with the insignia of a skull on the left side of their chests all turned their heads to Lenny and Perseus.

Aside from the students and a couple of waiters, the top side was empty.

Lenny pretended not to see them. Finding himself a booth at the corner, he headed there and took a comfortable seat.

The menu was on the side of the table.

Lenny read through it.

Apart from wine and tea, there was absolutely nothing on the menu that he had ever seen.

All of the names were foreign, and some of them even looked more like a threat to life than a meal.

An example would be the Inverted Spider Trap soup.

These were truly weird.

Then again, he was not here because of the food. He was here because of a different kind of meal.

The place had become abnormally quiet.

"Waiter!" Lenny called out.

One of the waiters attending to the students of the Red Skull rushed to come meet Lenny.

However, she panicked as she stood to the side.

At least from her heavy breathing and tightening of the serving tray to her chest, she was definitely nervous.

"Well, a friend of mine told me of the desert scorpion pepper soup. I'll like to try that. With some scorpion wine. He turned to Perseus.

"I'll have the same! Perseus nodded.

Lenny turned to the waitress. Her reaction was even worse than before.

"Hmmm, are you okay?"

She shook her head.

At first, Lenny thought that she was panicking as a result of her fear of the robbing students.

After all, he had heard interesting things about the Magi.

However, he noticed that she kept on taking sneak peaks at Perseus.

Also, she subconsciously tried to stay away from him, even leaning closer to Lenny's side of the table.

It was at this moment that Lenny immediately remembered something.

However, even before he could say it, one of the students, a big man.

He was old, with beards, some of which were already turning white.

Apparently, just like in his former world, age was not a limiter for formal education.

The man stopped before Perseus, "Hey, your kind is not welcome here. Pack your shit," he turned to Lenny, obviously referring to him, "and get out of our town, Demon Trash!"

Those words had come to Perseus as a surprise.

After all, Perseus did not think he had done something wrong.

However, as a gladiator, hostility was a nature he was most familiar with.

He wanted to talk, but Lenny pointed to a sign on the wall.

Perseus could not read, as he was a gladiator and never thought to, but he was smart.

He, too, pointed at the sign on the wall.

The sign read: Second floor reserved for guests, Junior Magi and above ONLY!

The student turned to Perseus, "Well, you are not a guest or a FUCKING Junior Magi. I should know; I'm a Magi. Now pack your shit and get the fuck out of this town!"

Till this moment, Perseus still did not understand what was going on.

Lenny, on the other hand, could not help but chuckle lightly at this.

He perfectly knew what was happening. Lenny had not known before, but now he does.

It was also the same reason people in the town had been looking at the two of them so strangely.

At first, Lenny thought it was their perfect clothing, but it was not.

It was all because of Perseus.

Unlike Lenny, who had the Satan system and the magic from his body shielded from prying eyes, Perseus did not.

In fact, Perseus, being a gladiator, had never been taught how to reil in his ferocious aura, heavily baptized by the many life-and-death battles he had engaged in.

To top it all up, the magic that oozed out of him was a beacon of trouble.

Perseus was half-born. This meant that he was half-demon.

His untamed demon magic was like a lighthouse in the darkness.

A town filled with acolytes, human magic users

Surely, demon magic would be easily spotted, even if it's under a rock.

This may be a port, but it was still a human town, and there was nothing that was as feared as it was hated right now as Demons.

And here was Perseus, practically blowing his trumpet, mocking them with the announcement of his origins.

Perseus paused. With a questioning brow, he turned to the student, "And what if I don't?"

Another waiter hurried to the student's side.

"I have informed the authorities; they are already on their way."

"There is no need for that; before they get here, I'll already be done with him!" The student spoke with confidence.
