Lenny checked, and according to the Satan system, if he were able to cover the full 100 kilometers of the Desert Walk, then he would be able to become a Deep Demon rank being.

The thought of it made Lenny chuckle lightly.

Even moving a step made him completely light out.

There was no way that he was going to complete the challenge anytime soon.

He would have to grind one step at a time to get there.

Maybe next time he would try out a lower level that still exerts some pressure but is just enough to promote his growth, but definitely not now.

Lenny checked. According to the Satan System, he had slept for an entire day.

The thought of this sent shivers down his spine.

He was an assassin. To lose his guard like that was a recipe for death.

Thankfully, nothing happened.

There was also the good fortune that the Sisters of Fate did not seek to take advantage of this opportunity and hurt him.

All he could do now was ensure that such a thing never happened again.

Lenny's clothes had been soaked with sweat from the events of the previous night.

He was once a gladiator and was long used to the very messed-up smell.

But since he could choose, he naturally picked to change clothes.

After which, he stood to his feet.

He staggered a little. Apparently, his body still felt the effects of the strong strain he had put it through in the desert.

He stretched, and his bones made creaking sounds to emphasize their release.

He found that he was both hungry and thirsty.

Remembering that Captain Crimson remained waiting at the door, he opened it.

"Good morning, Mr. Lenny," Captain Crimson greeted.

"Good morning to you too," Lenny nodded, "is something the matter?"

"No! Not at all, sir."

He shook his head. "I just thought to inform you that we are at the first stop on our journey. We are at Town 'Skull Head' home territory of Red Skull Magic School."

"Oh!" Lenny nodded. "Okay then. I'll be right out."

Captain Crimson nodded as he hurried on.

Lenny could see that he was very excited.

Also, he noticed that the captain's men were carrying a big box out of the ship at a corner.

This was the same box he had intentionally left behind.

Some of the crew members used this as an opportunity to steal one or two magic stones from the chest.

Lenny was not surprised by this.

After all, it was a normal occurrence for members of a society to behave like their leaders.

Like captain, like crew members.

With what Lenny had heard about these magic stones, it was easy to guess that Captain Crimson most likely intended to trade them for branded human skins.

After all, gold was useless if it could not be converted into money.

It was still early in the morning. The sun was already peeking off the horizon.

Even the dry smell of the desert was still fresh and cool from the night before.

It was really a good morning.

Lenny came to the edge of the ship and looked out.

To his absolute surprise, this town was more functional than he thought.

There were buildings; most were made from wood, but the structures were very functional.

The houses were made in such a way that they allowed for the broad road in between.

He could see people below going about their daily business.

Some were trading goods; others were trading food.

Some traded body parts of mutated beasts, and some others traded what Lenny could tell were actually mutated plants.

Some others transported wild mutated rats in iron cages.

These cages were obviously not normal.

Lenny could see rune symbols on them.

This was a town. It also served as a port, as there were ships anchored at the jetty at different points.

Lenny took in the sight of this busy town.

The people were not many, but then again, they were not few either.

To see humans walking about so freely was always an incredible sight.

However, Lenny knew that they could not even parade the outside world like this.

Even for those who had magic, there was always the risk of being captured by demons for food or by devils.

It was only in magical territories like these that humans were able to survive.

Another question plagued Lenny.

At the time he left Spring Town for the very first time, there was the issue of devils surrounding the place.

This was the same thing for Waterfall City.

So he decided to ask one of the crew members.

And what he learned was quite interesting.

It turned out that the parts in which human beings mostly lived were very far from Demon residence.

For reasons no one knew, devils only flocked to demon cities or towns.

For these reasons, human pirates developed different shipping routes across the vast dry lands to keep themselves safe.

Although there was always the problem of demon poachers that hunted humans and other pirates that also hunted humans,

It never stopped the cockroach existence that was called humanity from giving up on survival.

Even Demons agreed that they were a stubborn existence.

This town was really interesting to see, and Lenny was quite curious about it.

However, there was nothing he wanted more at the moment than to increase his power.

"Are we going into the town?" Perseus asked, his intonation and eyes radiating the zeal to explore.

Lenny did not mind this.

But he would really rather eat some demon meat to quench his hunger and cultivate peace.

However, the moment he turned towards his cabin, he got an alert for a mission.

<Alert>

<Town Skull Head detected>

<Mission from the Sisters of Fate activated>

<Mission: Kill the Students of the Red Skull Magic School>

<Every death equals an increase in strength and HP value>

Lenny paused in his steps. He suddenly turned back toward the town with an eerie smile on his face...
