In only a few minutes, Lenny had moved like a spectra, and the battle between these two unsuspecting combatants was over.

Perseus turned to Captain Crimson, "Have your men prepare some bathing water and take us to him."

Subconsciously, he nodded, and then he turned to the crew members, "Didn't you Maggots here what he said? Hurry up and get a MOVE on it!"

Instantly, the pirates ran around as they immediately rushed to do as they were instructed.

In such a place, water was gold. But with what they had just witnessed, even gathering tears for Lenny's bathing would have been possible.

Captain Crimson, with Perseus's allowance, steered the ship for the two ships that had met their end on this desert.

On seeing the ship's approach, Lenny wiped his tears as he stood to his feet.

Just then, he remembered the alert from the system.

He was supposed to loot.

It was this alert that acted as a catalyst for his bloodlust, prompting him to disembark the Crimson Leviathan in the first place.

Lenny stood to his feet as he looked around the terrible wreckage.

Both desert vessels had collapsed, one against the other.

They were filled with holes from the magic cannons that they fired at each other.

Severed limbs, mixed with mashed organs, splattered innards like diarrhea let loose, littered the ground, and now inverted walls.

Desert regions hardly ever get water, all year round. However, this time around, this desert was gifted a river of blood.

Lenny looked around as he explored both ships that had now gone silent.

As he walked around the place, he would wave his hands from time to time, sending both human and beast corpses into the storage.

These were going to become useful later.

Lenny had the Satan system scan around the place for anything of value.

The thing with pirates was that either they were broke or they were not.

There was no in-between silver lining.

The life of a pirate was very easy to understand.

If they were not broke, then it meant that they were just coming back for a haul.

If they were broke, then it meant that they were going for one.

Even though Captain Crimson had maneuvered through the pursuit of both ships, something just did not seem right.

After all, if the two ships were after them, they wouldn't have gotten away so easily.

So it only meant one other thing.

The ships had not come for them but had come for one another.

What in the world would make men kill one another in the bombardment of cannonballs and fire?

In this place, the Crimson Leviathan ship's crew called the Wastelands, and they were quite a few things.

Amongst them are water, food. But definitely not things like gold or silver.

The value was dependent on need.

In this world, gold and silver were as good as limestone. Unless some aristocratic Demon family's daughter wanted to look a little more shinny on specific occasions, then it had no absolute worth whatsoever.

As Lenny paraded the place with his thoughts sprinkled in all directions as the Satan system scanned from salt, wine barrels, and so on, his eyes suddenly came across something.

This particular box lay under the dead body of a man he was sure was the captain of one of these ships.

Lenny would not have even seen this box if it were not for the help from the Satan system.

The system had scanned the box, and the display image was a red orb that looked like an eye.

It was the size of a well pumped football.

Lenny kicked the dead man to the side and took the box.

With a wave of his hand, he sent it into his storage unit.

He was going to check it out later.

With a kick here and another there, Lenny broke the haul of one ship.

Within it, there were about six big boxes, all of which were around the height of his waist.

On opening the first box, his eyes were greeted by low, white, shimmering stones the size of a child's fist.

Lenny had seen and dealt with many precious stones in his life, but he had to admit that he had never come across this type before.

At least not that he could remember.

He took one of the stones into his hand.

It gave a cool, refreshing feeling to the touch.

<Alert>

<Low-grade magic stone detected>

<Absorb to see an increase in magic points>

"Hmmm," Lenny nodded as he gave the permission to absorb the magic stone.

<+2 magic points>

"Oh, I see," Lenny chuckled lightly, "not bad!"

Lenny looked at the other boxes. Without a doubt, this was what these men had been fighting about.

Lenny knew that if he had not participated, one crew would have won the other, and the crew that won would have taken all these treasures for themselves.

Yes, these stones were treasures. Lenny was sure that he was not the only one who considered this.

He willed, and five of the boxes were instantly sent into his storage unit.

As much as he wanted to take it all, Lenny was not a fool.

The Crimson Leviathan was approaching, and Lenny was very familiar with how the human heart worked.

The goal was not to take all of it. No, that would be a terrible display of greed and selfishness, and that would draw suspicion toward him.

It was best if he left one behind.

However, he took some other things, like some dead humans.

He would have taken all, but these people did not have sufficient magic power in the first place, and that was of little value to the Satan system.

The mutated beasts, however, were a totally different story.

He looted all their carcasses. These were going to contribute to his growth.

Immediately after the Crimson Leviathan reached the wreckage, Captain Crimson was the first to rush down the ship.

In fact, he did not even wait for his men to drop the gangway properly.

Within his eyes glowed the zeal for profit...
