Lenny saw Minnie with the invitation stone in the distance, and he leaped forward.
However, an arrow suddenly went through his stomach and out the other side.
Lenny turned around, his eyes carrying both craziness and surprise as he stared at the person who had shot him in the back.
It was none other than Ella.
She had a cocky smile on her face.
However, she knew the kind of person Lenny was. One arrow would not be enough.
She loaded him with two more.
One straight for the chest where his heart rested, and another right for his forehead.
He had been in midair when the arrow struck.
Each arrow burned death-capturing holes into his body. He did not even have time to comprehend what was going on.
Lenny fell to the ground, and everyone saw it clearly.
At least anyone who was still sane
Ella flew down from her height.
The battlefield was a mess.
Because of the Voice of Bedlam, death was everywhere.
Only a few were left alive, and they were still tearing themselves apart.
Minnie teleported and appeared before Ella.
"This was not the agreement; my sisters are dead!"
Ella frowned. "I know. But we both know THAT mental attack was not my fault."
Minnie frowned at this, but she knew that it was true.
"Also, I told you I wanted him alive," Minnie stated.
"Well, we both know how stubborn a cockroach he is. It was either death or nothing!"
Ella extended her hand. "The invitation stone?"
Minnie frowned, but she still threw the invitation stone at Ella.
"I know witches well. I'm sure when you agreed to side with Ciri, you made a hex. Will it affect you?" Ella asked.
"The Hex was built on the foundation of the Ouroboros coven. Although I had already made preparations, I am all that's remaining."
Ella walked up to Lenny's corpse. "I'm sorry; in the grand scheme of things, you are not important."
Yes, all the while, both women had been working with each other.
This happened a few days ago when Lenny was still passed out from the toxins, weakening and poisoning his body.
Ella had gone into the wild in her monkey suit in an attempt to stop Ciri and get the other half of the invitation stone.
Unfortunately, she had met with Minnie instead.
Naturally, both were to engage in battle, but Ella suggested a better deal.
One that could see to it that both women got what they wanted.
Ella would ensure that Minnie got Lenny, and Minnie would ensure that Ella got the other half of the invitation stone.
The deal was struck, and therefore, the actualization of the moment
Ella picked Lenny up by the neck as she searched the pocket on his clothes.
However, no matter how hard she searched, she did not find it.
"Are you by any chance looking for my invitation stone?"
A voice came from behind Minnie.
However, before she could turn, Lenny waved his hand, using his hammer on her head and instantly knocking her out.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk! And here, I thought your skin would be as hard as your sister's I would have just used the sword instead!"
Ella frowned.
And then she looked at Lenny's corpse in her hand.
Lenny saw her confusion and smiled. "Oh, you might want to remove the flea off its body."
However, even before he finished talking, a portal to the Nether realm opened up, and a Nether creature snatched the fake Lenny from her hand, pulling it into the Nether realm.
Lenny had used his blood on the flea skin and wrapped it around the body of a normal person.
After which, he threw the person in the air as he dissolved into the shadows, giving anyone who was looking the impression that he was rushing for Minnie as she took Ciri's half of the invitation stone.
"How did you know?" Ella asked with a frown on her face.
"Honestly, I have had my suspicions for a long time. Even if I want to explain it, you won't understand. But my suspicions were only confirmed by her. You see, before our brawl, she said, and I quote, 'Not bad, and here I thought you were only sleeping on your ass'. You see, the only time anyone saw me sleep was when I was poisoned by the toxins. This is an event that the witch should not have known since she couldn't enter your territory, unless, of course, someone told her."
Lenny's smile was cocky.
In truth, he had suspected Ella for a very long time.
It started when he saw her stats on Surveyor.

It had come as a surprise to Lenny when he had seen her stats.
It was true that she was a Nephilim, but Lenny had not expected her to also be a witch.
However, there was more.
When she had kissed him in an attempt to sleep with him, Lenny had heard the system give an alert that he was getting infected with corrupt holy power.
And finally, when Ella had stepped out of her domain and the Great Nether Beast had almost made it through, the system had translated to Lenny what the Nether Beast was saying.
It said, Payment is due, blood of an elder witch.
It was at this point that Lenny thought back to the story Ella had told him of how she met Ciri.
At the time, it was a faint assumption, but Lenny could guess that Ella wanted to sleep with him in order to corrupt him and bring him under her control, just as she did Ciri.
Lenny had done a lot of missions in his former world and uncovered many secrets.
With the number of puzzle pieces he had in place, it became easy for him to tell the full story.
Ella claimed that she had killed that Nether creature out of love for Ciri.
As romantic as that sounded, Lenny did not believe it one bit.
She must likely did it because....
