99 Chapter 99: Checkmate
The beast gear gave up some sort of diabolical aura which made Alex frown! It looked like it had a life of its own. At this point, they realized all the best gears in the room have eyes and they were all gazing at them as if they were predators, gazing at their prey.
, These are not beast gears... At least, creating beast gears was never their idea! They were trying to replicate sealed artifacts!” Tracy said with a stern look on her face.
“We all know that impossible.! To create a sealed artifact One must possess Alien technology and resources... We lack both” Damian” said
“An even if you do... You will have to break down a sealed artifact from scratch and rebuild it... Which is impossible... Sealed artifacts are said to be invincible... As well as alive! They would never let a mete human destroy them” Tracy said
“Then what is all of this if they failed?” Alex asked
“These are beast gears created with the intentions of replicating sealed artifacts... Failures to them but a terror to us” Tracy said with a grim look on her face as he pulled out a compartment in her suit and sealed the beast gear in it!
“To be able to give life to a weapon and give it such diabolical presence! I think a deviant must be involved” Alex said calmly.
“The most terrifying part is that when used on people, Losts will be created and this new batch of Losts will be controlled by the Tyrant gang... They won’t be as mindless as before. Create an army like this, I doubt even the entire country and the joint forces of the big four will be able to save us” Tracy said coldly.
With this project now, and that of the five artificial deviants they fought on the way here. It meant the Tyrant gang is involved in two major projects that the government is unaware of!

“That’s an interesting analogy! As expected of the Ainsworth family... You can easily predict our goals and analyze our life work in mere minutes... Your brilliance is unparalleled... Unfortunately, this is where you all die” a voice boomed from all sides of the room.
It was obvious they were been watched from the very beginning so Alex wasn’t bothered. Neither did he see the need to feel flustered.
But then he considered leaving this place! On numerous occasions, he has heard of crazy enemies willing to hide their work and end up destroying the entire facility with the guardians with it. An S-rated guardian died like that too so he wasn’t too keen on going deeper into the enemy layer! Making it more difficult when he chooses to escape.
Seeing Alex hesitate to move forward, even Damian felt reluctant. The door at the other end of the room was opened by the enemy, only a fool would boldly walk in without fear!
Alex was about to speak but then a voice rang in his head, making him shiver!
“Go deeper... You don’t have to worry!”
He had never heard the voice before but the confidence in its tone was enough to change a person’s heart.
Without saying many words anymore, Alex shoved his hands deep into his pocket and began walking toward the room without fear. The sudden change stunned everyone but they followed behind strangely.
Walking past the door, they found themselves in a massive arena at the center of it was a man with silver hair, in white robes and a white mask. On the mask and robe were symbols belonging to the Tyrant gang!
Looking at this man, Alex couldn’t even feel his presence! The same goes for Damian.

From the two entrances of the arena, two people came out! The first was a bulky bald man in a black tuxedo walking out while on the other side was a calm man in a pink kimono with fluttering pink hair and a hand fan in his hands used to cover half his face!
They are the A and B rate deviants, Mr. Blade and Cherry!
“I thought you all lacked the courage to come here but I guess I underestimated you, Alex... You are more capable than expected!” The silver-haired man said calmly.
“I am sure you know my two friends here... So I’m going to strike a deal... If You and Damian can beat these too, then I will let you go... If you lose, however, you die” The Silver-haired man said calmly and Alex frowned.
Since he entered this room, he hasn’t heard the voice that compelled him to walk into this room.
“You are the person who pulled the building out with the kids still inside? You are the hidden expert backing the Tyrant gang? Alex asked calmly while walking down the stairs of the arena.
“You are quite perceptive... It’s no wonder they call you the prodigy of the Briggs... Your talents and intellect far exceed that of all the other members.” The silver-haired man praised him earnestly.
“I am sorry but I must refuse... How can I fight a foe like Cherry when I’m not even in my best condition... We are all tired and worn out... You must know what we had to go through earlier” Alex said with a pitiful look on his face, making Damian and the others frown.
No one knew what he was plotting or how he has the courage to speak to someone as terrifying as the man in white right now! He is obviously the SS-rated expert helping the Tyrant gang.
They leaked the news of Mr. Blade staying here just to lure Damian! They were planning to get rid of the Briggs two most talented younger generation members in one go! If they do that, Florida will be the first territory the Tyrant gang will own in the united states and from there it will grow, as well as their fame.
This is a well thought out plan. Even though Alex tried to act calm on the outside but inside he was terrified. It was like they were on the chessboard and have become sacrificial prices for a bigger move!
This is checkmate for them!
