433 Forcing the Sin of Greed to flee

A fierce explosion erupted at one corner of the battlefield causing everyone to pause. Right now the only one these soldiers can rely on is the dragon emperor who has provided them with immense support throughout this battle.
They knew if Damon fell it meant the death of everyone present.
“Calm!” Damon’s cold and aloof voice boomed from the cloud of dust as a lone figure stepped out.
Damon’s golden hair fluttered madly in the wind while the dragon scales on his chest caved in but outside this, he was completely fine.
“The dragon is said to have the ultimate defense and attack, did you really think half-hearted attacks like that will be able to harm me?” Damon asked with a raised eyebrow as if he was speaking with someone dumb who failed to understand the way the world works.
“Also, I don’t remember saying I can’t transform again. You shouldn’t jump to conclusions for a person” Damon’s voice deepened drastically as he said the final part.

The world began trembling as Damon began approaching. With each step forward he took it seemed like the world grew heavier and was going to collapse soon. As he advanced his body transformed viciously and soon a massive golden dragon emerged from the cloud of dust.

“Hmph!” Klien saw the sudden turn of events and snorted disdainfully
The possibility of Damon transforming was also added to his plans and even if Damon does he will be forced to retreat regardless, so he wasn’t bothered.
“This is a lost battle... Only a fool doesn’t know when to let go” Klein said from the comfort of the mighty green serpent towering over the heavens.

While Klien moved he dragged the sea of blood behind him. His eyes were completely blood red and his body trembled as the blood sea charged ahead of him like a turbulent ocean.

Steamy blood sea smashed into the golden dragon, causing it to cry out In pain! The blood was fused with the toxic magic of the Basilik, making it far more effective!
“You!” Damon’s eyes blazed with fury but he was actually helpless. Everything he did was put up a show.
A bluff could go a long way on a battlefield and many would shiver at his tyrannical aura and choose to flee unless they didn’t find him as tyrannical as they did before.
The only reason they would dare approach is that they know he is truly weak and is only bluffing. The only one who has such information is Alex Briggs because only he can see past what normal mortals can see.
Withdraw!
“Spearhead forward, we push back and tear open a path!” The furious bellow of the golden dragon shocked everyone and as if in response to his words, Damon shot toward the direction and flapped his wings viciously creating powerful shockwaves
Roar!!!!!
Hurricanes and tornados exploded but only one figure could chase after Damon and fight him even now he was giving his best!
Klien!
Damon eyes shone with murderous light as he tried to retreat but Klein chased after him with cruel eyes. The toxic blood attack had weakened his scales and any other major attack now will only deal a fatal blow that will keep him out of service for a while.
They were keeping him out of the war for a while, but why?
Damon eyes flashed with realization but he didn’t know why. Either way, he had to stop them and not fall into this trap. He wasn’t sure what kind of offer Alex Briggs gave them, which is impossible to resist but he knew one thing.
If things play out the way the enemy wants it, he will lose too much but these people are not aware of it!
“Since you wish to die, I will grant you that!” Damon’s eyes flared up with killing intent as he watched a giant serpent coated in blood shoot in his direction with the man in red armor on its head.

Damon withdrew his support to the soldiers and gathered all his power in preparation to resist the duo!
Swoosh!
At that moment the black hooded figure appeared between both sides and intense repulsive energy exploded from him, blowing Klein and Lucy back while blowing Damon away too.
Roar!
Buzzz!
As soon as Damon gained a small distance from the terrifying duo, he didn’t hesitate before turning around and flying away without hesitation!
Heavenly Dragon Breathe!
Damon spat out a golden beam and tore an opening through the enemy lines as he and his soldiers escaped without hesitation. The Gravity cosmic spirit stood on the head of the mighty golden dragon and watched Klien and Lucy’s distant figure. Strangely the forces of darkness weren’t chasing after them.
“They are not chasing....” he said with a deep frown.
“Forget them... This war is far from over... Secure the street and make sure civilian has withdrawn. We will make our stand there. Divide the forces into hundred-man teams and they will be able to maneuver through the terrain properly. We will hold a great advantage here on the streets of Naz” Damon said in a cold voice, leaving the gravity cosmic spirit stunned.
He thought Damon would withdraw from Naz but it seemed he was still willing to fight.
Every time Cecile gives him doubts about his allegiance, he also gives them a reason to trust him. If not why else is he willing to fight so hard if he is Damon?
Unknown to him, Damon wasn’t fighting against the Beyond now, his real opponent is the invading demon lord, Alex Briggs.
“Our soldiers are weak and fatigued. The others are wounded badly... I’m not sure they can continue” The gravity spirit gazed at the army barely up to forty thousand soldiers. A loss of close to ten thousand soldiers in just a matter of seconds is far beyond everyone’s expectations.
