308 Threatening a race

The next day the duo was invited back to the royal courtroom but this time there were fewer people there. Only older members of the royal family sat while shooting Alex and Sharyn a strange glance. The elder seated on the throne seemed less jovial than last time.

“Your actions of refusing the Alliance put us as enemies. Your actions of destroying the forces assigned to my granddaughter led to her being wanted by the alliance. She is a fugitive because of you. How do you plead?” The elder said with a stern look in his eyes.

Hearing this, Sharyn paled in fear. She had expected a lot of things but she didn’t expect this. It would have been better if they were chased away or betrayed but the act of trying to judge Alex for his misconduct would only end poorly.

This was a confrontation between two peak experts and none will be willing to bend a knee for the other. Just like Alex and Emperor Qikath, the events of the past will definitely repeat themselves if proper care is not taken.

“No... Grandfather...” Sharyn called out but was quickly silenced.

Silence!

Bang!

Overwhelmed by fear, Sharyn could only lower her head and shiver timidly. Alex watched this happen with an indifferent look before taking a step forward and grabbing Sharyn by the hand.

“You dare tell my woman to remain silent? I’m guessing old age is definitely messing with your mind. You must have become fearless since death is already on the corner but that doesn’t mean I can’t make it a living hell for you if I want to” Alex sneered with fierce anger in his eyes.

.....

“Hmph! A failure like hers should have happened. I didn’t have her killed the moment she set foot on this planet” The elder snorted disdainfully.

“There is still a chance, you can give it a try and see how it turns out for you” Alex eyes blazed with cruelty as he stepped forward, blocking Sharyn with his figure.

“Just answer my damned questions. It’s time you pay for your crimes!” The elder growled in fury causing the entire hall to tremble.

“Hahaha! Does a mere mortal dare judge a god? Are you not afraid of heaven’s retribution? I will make this clear now you weak old man. You lack what it takes to openly question my actions” Alex remained unfazed by the piercing gaze surrounding him.

His eyes seemed calm and collected while the mocking smile on his face was a way to taunt the entire room. It was a reminder that they hate him so much and want him dead, yet they can’t do a thing about it.

“For someone who came here in search of help, you are quite cocky” The elder said in a stern voice as he leaned forward. A smile bloomed on his face as he expected Alex to submit especially since he needed help but the unexpected happened.

“Hahaha! Alex Briggs needs no one. Now I will lay the terms and conditions of our cooperation to you” Alex said with a calm smile.

“My injury will be held and I will be allowed to embark on the ceremony that allows him to progress my deity powers.” Alex said casually.

“And what does my deity race get in return?” the elder seemed intrigued while asking if he was strangely eager to see what one man can offer an entire planet.

“Hahaha! With me here, no one will dare touch your granddaughter. Not been god can her.... Meanwhile, I will protect your planet as well, as long as you are willing to let go of the alliance and join my group” Alex offered and everyone in the room began laughing violently.

“The news has already spread. The human race has crossed the Danites by killing the third prince. It’s only a matter of time before your race is wiped out. I am only allowing you to stand in my presence because you represent the Estos race and not the humans. If there is someone in need of help, it should be you” the elder said coldly and Alex chuckled, making everyone frown.

They knew the real situation of things and they knew the humans needed help. There is nothing to be happy about, so why was he laughing?

“Weak” Alex said, silencing the entire room.

“If you did your research properly you will be stunned to know my thirteen-year-old son killed the Danite third prince without much effort. If you paid attention properly you will realize that humans have regained control of their planet. If you pay attention to things happening around you, you should know the Estos race is a part of the nameless and will fight as earth’s ally against the Danites. If you pay attention to things happening around you, you would know that the invincible duo of earth is standing at the forefront of the human race’s defense. As far as I’m concerned, not even God can take earth, talk less of mere aliens who rely on the help of familiars to fight.” Alex said those words confidently and with each word spoken, the rooms seemed to shake under his voice.

Xiu!

Saying this, Alex didn’t wait for them to recover from the shock. His body flashed and the next moment he was standing in front of the seated elder with a cruel look in his eyes.

“When the Danites come, I will be the one they will have to answer to. Whether I leave this planet in one piece or leave it in ruins before I leave is up to you but bear in mind, the last planet I visited tried to fight back. They fought hard but they lost. There were no survivors” Alex said in a calm yet threatening tone.

The elder was taken aback and overwhelmed by Alex’s presence. He shot the wound in Alex’s chest with a complicated glance

He wanted to refuse Alex completely but for some reason, he felt like the choice was not his anymore. It was already decided before Alex came here and there has never been any room for negotiations.
