296 An emperor’s betrayal

Alex’s eyes gave out his intentions and the Fishman prince was stunned. His eyes shivered a bit as he could sense the incredible power swirling within the body of this nameless human and he couldn’t help but wonder how much the universe has changed since he has been imprisoned here.

“I will follow you! Crown prince Kalish at your service my lord” Kalish said after a few moments of silence.

From the look in Alex’s eyes, he knew he had little time to decide who to join hands with. If he hesitated any further he had a feeling Alex would have executed him on the spot.

His gaze shifted from Alex to the entrance far below the mountain of bones where they were chained, he could hear the massive metal door getting unlocked. Before he could do or say anything he realized Alex was already standing in front of him.

Bang!

With a casual pull, all the chains used to bind him shattered under Alex’s incredible strength. Alex completely ignored the small fries coming in here to take their life, instead, he grabbed Kalish by the waist, and with a casual leap both of them should toward the black above.

“It’s impossible to leave this place unless we go through the black whirlpool... it left us in this condition and allowed us to be captured. I’m afraid if we go through it again we won’t have any Strength left to battle my brother” Kalish said as he watched Alex fly towards the black whirlpool above fearlessly.

He was trying to warn Alex but Alex simply disregarded his warning as he shot towards the black whirlpool with his blood-red body bulging uncontrollably while a sea of blood revolved around him, shooting towards the black whirlpool.

“I would like to see who dares stand in my way!” Alex growled furiously as his eye turned pitch black and an incredible force crashed into the black whirlpool alongside the blood sea!

.....

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

The explosion shook the world violently as Alex attempted to completely obliterate the black whirlpool instead of passing through it!

.............

Meow!

The hell cat deity familiar suddenly yanked its eyes open and gazed at the door of the room with cold eyes. Sharyn was still fast asleep when the hell cat felt the disturbance and just kept gazing at the door for a while in silence.

Clank!

The door slowly opened as fishermen in royal guard attires and a spear in their hands ran into the room!

Meow!

Boom!

The hell cat was suddenly engulfed in hellish flames as it charged forward like a cannonball knocking everyone out of the room at once.

Argh!

Save me!

Help me!!

Screams and cries of pain filled the corridor while the hell cat stood on the burning guards trying to off the rabid flames but only making things worse.

Its cold gaze was pinned on the familiar figure of emperor Qikath standing gallantly with a golden fork in his hands. His eyes were crystal blue while his aura was like an endless sea crashing upon one tiny boat with countless tidal waves.

Unfortunately, the hell cat was no pushover!

Its small body remained unmoving as the rabid flames kept surging around its body.

“As expected only such a man can tame such a terrifying beast. It was foolish of me to think he left his people completely undefended but then again, do you really think you have what it takes to stop me?” Emperor Qikath said with a cruel smile while gazing at the Hellcat like a madman.

“All invaders must perish, especially those who have made me lose face in front of my people. Alex Briggs will suffer” Emperor Qikath said coldly as he struck his trident on the ground and water began to surge into existence like a terrifying whirlpool surging uncontrollably.

Meow!

The hell cat was not moved as its rabid flames surged forward without hesitation, clashing with the enemy’s attack.

Boom!

Sharyn jumped off the bed in fright as the battle raged on. At first, she thought it was a dream but then seeing the Hellcat with a stern expression while releasing its rabid flames she knew something was wrong!

“They really tried to stab us in the back while Alex was gone but that will be useless since Alex will return unless they never planned on letting him return in the first place! It’s a trap just like I predicted!” Sharyn frowned as her thoughts raged on.

But what in the world can they be so confident? Was there another expert in this world far stronger than Alex?

Did Alex already lose to the opponent?

Only a fool will act recklessly without confirmation. She was sure that someone like Emperor Qikath wouldn’t make a move until he had successfully defeated Alex. The fact he is here now meant he succeeded.

As such thoughts enter her mind she shivered slightly and frowned. If Alex dies then the rest of them involved in this task will be dead as well.

Meow!

The hell cat called out as it was almost overwhelmed by the water whirlpool. Seeing this whirlpool, Sharyn’s eyes turned blue!

Roar!

She let out a furious cry as blue flames surged forward, shattering the wall ahead while smashing into emperor Qikath

Xiu!

Sharyn slid into the corridor and the Hellcat jumped onto her shoulder. Meanwhile, other envoys dashed out of their room and saw Sharyn and the Hellcat standing side by side against the kneeling Emperor Qikath.

“That was a nice attack. Unfortunately, you cannot compete with the power of a God!” Emperor Qikath laughed hysterically as water surged into the corridor.

“You!” Sharyn paled as her body was instantly covered with fiery blue armor while a large blue sphere of flames spread from her body, covering her and the other envoys!

Boom!

An explosion erupted from a side of the royal palace as a blue and red sphere of flames shot out of the room and shot higher up.

Swooosh!

Emperor Qikath slowly levitated out of the hole with the trident in his hands and a dignified look on his face.
