270 Silver
“Even in death, you are still full of shit!” A familiar voice rang in Alex’s ears receiving the almost nonexistent life force in him.
His eyes opened with so much effort as he felt a cool aura spreading through his body while healing his wounds. He could see a figure dressed in complete white battle armor, standing beside him with a distant look in his eyes.
Silver placed what seemed like a black ring on Alex’s chest and the next moment his body was covered by a black battle suit, while providing him with oxygen, only then did Alex realize he was in space. Only now did he realize how cold he must have been!
“To be able to survive this long without oxygen or a suit you have truly transcended beyond the level of mortals” Silver said with a slight smile on his face.
Seeing this Alex finally exhaled. For some reason, he felt safe now and had the urge to sleep and forget about everything else.
“Cocky bastard. How did you know I was here?” Alex asked weakly with a rough voice.
“Hmph! Who the hell do you think I am? I always keep tabs on those I care about” Silver snorted and Alex laughed.
“You seem to have grown so big you can speak to me in any manner you deem fit, correct?”Alex asked with a light chuckle in response even Silver couldn’t keep up the cold attitude, causing him to laugh.
“You only had one job but you couldn’t do it.... Now I will have to clean up after you” Silver said with a cruel smile while looking into the distance.

Hearing this, Alex frowned and looked in that direction, and only then did he notice the shaky barrier with three people hidden within. All of them had battle armor on and each of these battle armor looked similar to that of Silver.
“Heh! The alliance seems quite competent... Good....They should be able to hold back the invaders for a while and give us time to prepare” Silver chuckled lightly as he let go of Alex and began drifting towards the three with a calm smile on his face.
“Be careful... Suicidal attacks... that’s what they used to force me to this condition” Alex said weakly. He had no intentions of stopping Silver nor did he have any intentions of leaving either.
Even if he wanted to, he was just too weak to do it.
“Oh? That explains everything” Silver was genuinely surprised.
Since arriving he always wondered how these people were able to best Alex, forcing him to feel slightly disappointed but now he understood why. With thousands of loyal soldiers prepared to die in battle and countless battleships hidden within the carrier spaceship, Silver was seven more surprised that Alex somehow managed to survive.
“Don’t worry, they don’t have the resources needed to replicate such attacks and even if they did, it won’t work against someone like me” Silver knocked off Alex’s warning as if it was nothing as the two sides approached each other.
The barrier faded as Kyle pushed ahead of the other two. Fierce killing intentions were made visible in his eyes while he looked past Silver and gazed at Alex’s floating figure. He had given up a lot just to kill Alex and now it was time to finish the job. Unfortunately, he didn’t know who the man standing in front of him was. All he knew was that this is another human that needs to be taught a lesson.
Apart from Alex Briggs, this man believed he had nothing else to fear in this world.
“You are?” Kyle asked with a deep frown and the other two behind them gazed at Silver with confusion in their eyes.
If someone was strong, they should have some sort of air or aura around them. Even the weakest humans have some yet this man was blank. If you are not looking directly at him, you will never be able to feel his existence.
“Me? I am one half of the invincible duo. Congratulations on defeating one half” Silver said with a sinister smile on his face, sending chills down their spines.
No matter how powerful the alliance has been in the past, their reputation was nothing compared to the invincible duo who appeared on the barely average planet and began making history. In just a few months after they arrived in the world, those two made a name for themselves, pushing through all obstacles that came their way. Challenging foes far stronger than them and surviving impossible situations.
Back then, the earth was just one of the possible planets to be conquered by the alliances but since the planet was way behind in terms of technological breakthroughs and strength they completely shunned them. They considered these two as local champions who will only be useful on a small planet like earth.
But soon, the two whom they had looked down on began to gain unexplainable strength. Their strengths had yet to reach the peak of the human ranking system but even then they were as strong as Barone and Viscount level officials. In a short time, they were already at the peak of the world, battling the strongest warriors of their world, alongside the entire Danite army belonging to the prince.
Gazing at Silver again, fear could be seen in their eyes of Kyle as he instinctively retreated by a few steps but surprisingly the sky demon man stepped forward with a domineering look on his face.
“What kind of bullshit is this? Who do you think you can fool? From what we were told, amongst the invincible duo, only Alex Briggs was a fighter. You plotted and planned for him!” The sky demon man growled and only after speaking did the fear in the eyes of these people fade.
That was right! According to the reports, all of these battles were fought by Alex and not Silver. While Alex was the muscle, he was the brain. To think this kid would come up with such an embarrassing plan to scare them off!
“Huh? You can find out if I’m a fighter or not when we cross fists!” Silver said decisively as his eyes let out a bright silver flash, sending chills down the spine of the sky demon man but it was too late!
Xiu!
As if he teleported, Silver could be seen standing in front of the enemy with a cruel smile on his face as his hand raced forward. The sky demon man could barely react to his speed and ended up getting caught off guard by the kid he just bottled!
“You owe my friend a life, that debt I have come to collect in his stead!” Silver said in an icy tone bit them a fierce shockwave erupted as Kyle’s figure appeared behind Silver and in his hands was a massive silver scythe, swinging down silver with every intent to kill!
He expected Silver to attempt to block or dodge as he has prepared the deity woman to prepare a fierce sneak attack but even to their greatest surprise, Silver didn’t even spare them a glance!
“Since you are eager to die, be my guest! Killing move, soul hunt!” The enemy screamed as he swung down but what happens next left everyone dumbfounded.
Crack!
A bone-shattering sound could be heard and the sky demon man was dead! Silver stood gallantly and watched the corpse of the sky demon man float through space.
“You should learn how to exercise some patience... There is enough to go around” Silver said with a bright smile that made these people terrified.
“How? How did it not work? Even Alex Briggs has to act carefully when facing me, how the hell are you to laugh at my power!”, Kyle fumed. This was not just about him but for the entire shaman race. How dare this kid look down on an entire race that has been standing at the top of this galaxy?
“Why would your power work? You cannot steal what was never there!” Silver laughed disdainfully as his fist shot forward like a spear!
Bang!
Before Kyle could react, Silver’s fist was struck deep into the chest of the kid, with his hand sticking out of Kyle’s back and a beating heart in his hand.
The distance between the two wasn’t so close that it should connect but when Kyle looked closer he realized Silver’s hand was like a mechanical arm elongating at will. He finally understood why his power did not work on Silver.
“You are not alive!” Kyle said with his dying breath and a hint of shock in his eyes.
“Hmph! Must one possess a soul to live? I simply created an immortal body powered by energy and not reliant on a soul. You lost this fight even before it began!” Silver said coldly.
