186 Chapter 186: Traitor
The battle for Nigeria was as fierce as ever. With over a thousand forces of Danites and their beasts, any other country would have fallen but the joint forces of the African countries could not be easily dealt with, especially with Vendetta and Danny standing behind them.
To enter Nigeria they divided their forces into three groups, coming in from three sides. Cameroon, Benin, and Niger. With a well motivated force of mixed African clans and races with a good number of powerful deviants and the culture representatives leading them, it went too difficult to repel the enemy forces.
While there were more casualties on the side of the allied forces but their morale never dropped. Instead, with each death, their morale rose! The fight was fierce and personal!

Countless explosions erupted as numerous figures shot through the skies on what seemed like surfboards with energy guns in their hands, meanwhile their beasts rampaged on the ground! The battle in Kano had reached its climax with what seemed like an all-out attack!
The enemy forces seemed oddly motivated today.

Normal weapons, bullets, RPGs, and other old weapons were ineffective but with no other choice, soldiers fired without hesitation! Bullets rained on the flying Danites but they were all met with a solid barrier from their battle suits!
Meanwhile, the rampaging beasts of various kinds tore through their line of defense, tearing them apart!

Suddenly a guardian shot out of a building with blazing blue eyes!
Brrrr!
He threw both fists forward and a stream of bright blue flames surged forward smashing into one of the beasts.
“RETREAT!” he barked as his side stepped to evade another beast, before rolling to the aside as a massive rhino looking beast appeared from above, smashing into the ground where he once stood.
Roar!
He threw his right hand forward as blue flames jetted out, consuming the beast but it steadily approached within the flame!
Crunch!
The massive beast bit onto his right hand and blood squirted everywhere, causing the guardian to scream in pain
Retreating soldiers saw this and frowned but after watching many scenes like this, no one cried or screamed. They simply saluted the guardian before continuing their retreat!
“Hehehe! Do they think I will go down so easily? Cocky!” The guardian growled as his eyes lit up with blue flames and almost at the same time his body was engulfed in blue flames!
Swoosh!
He leaped back, forcefully ripping out the already damaged had from the mouth of the beast!
Shhhh!
The guardian slid back with a crazed look on his face. His life was flashing before his eyes but he wasn’t scared. Instead, he was excited! At least he died fighting for his home!
Brrrrrr!
Numerous beasts were seen racing forward but they were met with a wild wave of blue flames, covering the entire street!
Crunch!
Suddenly something emerged from the flames, biting him by the waist and lifting him off the ground. It was the rock rhino and not too far from it were other beasts racing through the narrow street!
“IF YOU ARE TOO EAGER TO DIE, I WILL GRANT YOUR WISH!” the guardian growled as his body swelled and lit up!
Boom!
From afar, Riviz stood and watched as the allied African forces were getting pushed back. His face remained neutral as always but his fists were clenched. He hated everything happening right now and didn’t know how to explain what he felt. His eyes seemed empty as he watched similar scenes happening in different parts of the state.
“Return to Vendetta, inform the rest that Kano will fall before nightfall... I will do my best to hold off the enemy forces for as long as possible...” Riviz said with a dry voice.
“Don’t do anything stupid... retreat if you can’t hold on any longer” Kidd said before he vanished.
Riviz remained silent as he gazed into the distance with darkness spreading across his body, mixing with the space around him to create a dark veil. His eyes looked like a bottomless pit of darkness as he gazed into the Danite flying towards him.

Alex remained in a room filled with energy crystals but this time he wasn’t touching any of them. The energy was visibly flowing into his body as he sat in mid-air, in a cross-legged position.
“We have a problem...” Vendetta walked into the room and was tongue tied for a moment.
Alex sat in mid-air with his legs crossed and various crystal cores of various sizes were revolving around him like orbiting stars. He carried a presence that shouldn’t belong to humans or beings of this world.
“They have started a full-scale attack... they have broken into the country and by nightfall, a state will fall” Alex said as he slowly opened his eyes to reveal a bright swirling mixture of colors in his eyes.
“You knew?” Vendetta was slightly stunned and disturbed by to look on Alex’s face.
It was like that of a God looking down on lesser beings. His face was void of emotions, it felt like a human looking over a chessboard with so many sacrificial pieces.
“We couldn’t completely trust the allies so we played a little game” Silver walked into the room with an amused look on his face.
“We let out our plans to the allied forces and requested for assistance. The Danites also know that with my power improving, that or the hell deity increases too... the stronger I become, the lower their chances of victory... They got the information about my possible breakthrough so they have gotten desperate. They will try to reach me as soon as possible” Alex said dryly.
“You expected this reaction?” Vendetta asked with a frown on his face.
“It was the only way I can confirm if we have a mole amongst us, so yes” Alex said while shrugging his shoulders.
His eyes seemed dull as usual with no hint of emotion.
“Don’t start getting emotional on us right now... the culture has never been the type to show emotions. You murdered thousands of religious people for the sake of peace and stability... we simply put the lives of a few at risk to save many.” Silver explained calmly.
Hearing this Vendetta frowned. His reasons for some of the culture’s vicious actions are logical and for the best and he knew Alex is doing the same but for some reason, he felt it is a bit different. It felt like Alex didn’t really care.
“So how do you know who the traitor is? If you did all of this and we can’t find the traitor then we wasted lives for no reason” Vendetta said coldly.
“Even if we don’t find out who the traitor is, I will still make it to the next level, then we can fight back” Alex shook his head as he spoke.
“We already have an idea of who the enemy is... If we are right, he will show up on this battlefield... All we ” Silver said leaving Vendetta stunned.
“They should be putting so much effort into reaching us now. I doubt we will be able to hold for much longer, have everyone withdraw to Lagos. We will make our final stand here” Alex said coldly.
“But you are not SS rated, how are we meant to fight back?” Vendetta said with a frown.
“And who said I’m not SS rated? I’m simply trying to push my power beyond the SS ratings now... that is where you come in” Alex said with a sly smile.
“How the hell are you SS rated? Why am I not aware of these things?” Vendetta was completely confused.
“I trust you but I trust the nameless more. I joined this war under the banner of the nameless, not the culture. I’m not obliged to give you every detail of my plan” Alex said calmly while shaking his head.
“The more time you waste the more people will die, withdraw your forces, Bishan of India will be here soon with an army of Danites behind him” Alex said coldly. This was the first time he was showing some sort of hostility towards anything during this conversation.
“Bishan? Last time I checked...”
“He was too cooperative and eager to help. He didn’t agree with the plan, and nor did he reject it. He didn’t want to stand out. When God’s eye agreed with Alex, he took the initiative to ask how much we need, and somehow, India provided the most resources out of all the allied countries. Far more than a country surrounded by enemies will be willing to give.” Alex said with a nod.
“He gave more than any country will be willing to give even though they need the resources, just in case their country is attacked... they even offered to find a way to transport soldier’s but you refused” Vendetta said with a stunning look.
“They knew I was suspicious so they did so much to push suspension away from them but they did too much” Silver said with a sly smile.
