Phisovia threw a soldier away using her hair. The troops from the Grionni kingdom could do nothing against the soldiers from the Vorn empire. Many of their corpses had been reanimated by the shapeshifter.

"This is very boring." Ritor, his body covered with blood-splattered marks, snorted. "There's no opponent that matches me. They're very easy to beat."

"That's one of the reasons why Lord Vorn is more focused on conquering other countries first," Physiovia explained. "Their military is weak, and their natural resources are few, but their belief in religion is firm. So, we have difficulty getting the citizens to follow lord Vorn."

Ritor scratched his head in frustration. "What exactly are you trying to say?"

"Bottom line, this country is uninteresting." Phisovia shrugged. "That's why this place is such a low priority to lord Vorn."

A succubus landed in front of the two generals. She bowed and gave a report. "We have destroyed the magic barrier protecting the royal palace."

"Good." Ritor nodded. "We'll attack in there, then."

"We have to be careful. We don't know yet what the power of that high being they are harboring is. Hell, we don't even know what kind of creature it is." Phisovia looked at the stone-walled castle from a distance. "And my question is, why wasn't that creature brought against us. Was that information a mere hoax?"

Ritor snorted again. "Is it necessary to make everything so complicated?"

"I'll look for information first." Phisovia began to flap her wings. "We will intervene if the high being is found."

Phisovia flew for a moment, then landed in the palace courtyard, finding several troops on alert.

"Is there anything you need to report?" she asked.

A shapeshifter bowed. "We haven't been able to contact one of the groups that entered, lady Phisovia. We know they were in the throne room from the last conversation via the communication device. There were screams, and then communication was cut off."

Not long after, Ritor came running.

"We have to go in, too." Phisovia made a suggestion to the minotaur. "Looks like there's a strong opponent inside."

Ritor laughed. "Good! Finally, I can have fun!"

Phisovia shrugged. "Seems like you like fighting more than sex or your wife, huh?"

"What kind of question is that?"

After selecting several squad members to accompany them, Phisovia and Ritor walked into the palace.

Several times they heard people crying and shouting. The troops of the Vorn empire were conducting sweeps, arresting the inhabitants of the palace without exception, and killing those who resisted.

After walking for a while, they arrived at a large wooden door. Several corpses of Grionni's troops were lying around.

"We must be careful." Phisovia hissed. "We don't know what we're up against…."

But Ritor opened the door, triggering Phisovia to slap her forehead.

"Why did Ayre pair me with him?" the succubus grumbled, then motioned for her troops to enter too.

Upon stepping into the room, Phisovia found the Vorn imperial army, the Grionni kingdom soldiers, and people in royal garb. All of them lay on the floor, dead with slash wounds.

The wounds weren't bleeding, and they were black in color. Looks rotten, but no smell.

Meanwhile, Ritor stood still where he was, looking at the figure sitting on the corpse of a middle-aged man wearing a luxurious cyan-colored robe.

That man was the king of the Grionni kingdom.

"They asked me to help them fight you." The seated figure, in the shape of a lizardman with green scales, hissed.

The silver lizard beside him added. "After they caught us, suppressed my power and tried to control me; they asked us for help. How shameless."

"They tortured us with some unimaginable things." The green lizard stood up. "We just return their favor."

Ritor laughed. "You're the lizard I fought that time, right? To think I'd be able to meet you again! We can finish our fight!"

"So, you guys are high beings?" Phisovia narrowed her eyes.

"Only me." The silver lizard answered. "I am someone who has been bestowed with a special power."

Ritor was about to attack, but Phisovia caught his hand. "Wait a minute. Let's listen to her first."

The minotaur general snorted but held back.

"I know that the lizardmen have their own prophet, who will receive special powers from their god." Phisovia took a step forward. "A new prophet will be born every time the previous prophet dies. So, why don't you, as the prophet, protect your city back then?"

The silver lizard started to shed tears. "Because my predecessor preferred to make peace with humans. So, I decided to follow in her footsteps and hide for so long to keep the peace. Now I know all of that was wrong."

"Because of you, we lost everything." The veins on the green lizard's face tensed up. "You guys have to pay for everything!"

"Why are we just chatting and not fighting?" Ritor spread his arms, looking increasingly frustrated.

"There are two possibilities for them to talk at length, Ritor." Phisovia let her hair grow long, making them curl like waves. "Firstly, to buy time. Second, to wait for us to attack first. They probably know you're impatient."

"We did the first one." The green lizard hissed again.

The silver lizard opened its mouth wide. The two generals and their troops immediately stepped forward, thinking that creature was about to attack.

But what happened next was entirely beyond their expectations.

"What?" Phisovia looked around. She only found a stretch of black ground under an orange sky. "Where is this?"

The troops and the corpses had disappeared. There was only Phisovia, Ritor, and those two lizards.

"With both of you dead, there will be a tremendous dent in the Vorn empire." The green-colored lizard started walking forward. "And I, E'nok, will make sure that happens."

Ri'va, the silver lizard, started singing in a foreign language to Phisovia and Ritor. The tone gave off an eerie impression.

"She doesn't let out that annoying scream anymore, huh?" Ritor chuckled, looking even more excited.

"Beings like you two will be able to keep fighting in the end if we use that shriek." E'nok bent over, and his muscles became enlarged and full of veins. "But with this chant, I will become something that can beat you guys."
