I rolled on the floor and bumped into a few things. However, just as I was about to get up, I noticed the liquids had turned towards me, most likely due to magic.

Because I didn't have time to dodge, I pushed Ayre away, letting the liquid hit me. Instead of causing me pain, the liquid was unbelievably sticky on my body, hindering my movement.

"What the fuck?" I looked at the liquids, which now had the consistency of chewing gum.

Albert laughed while pointing at me. "Feel it, you cunt! You won't be able to quickly escape from that thing unless you use intense heat!"

My teeth clenched. I can't accept that an ordinary human made me like this.

This is unforgivable.

Ayre let out a jet of fire through her hand to burn some of the glue wrapped around my body. "I will set you free."

I glanced at Ayre and found that the woman was also trapped, though it was only her left leg.

Meanwhile, Albert was still laughing. "It's useless. That heat won't be able to free you! You should use a hotter one!"

Ayre took a deep breath, then the flames in her hands turned blue. I winced as the heat pierced my thigh, the part the woman was trying to free.

"Keep going, Ayre," I growled when Ayre was about to lower her hand. "I can endure this."

So, without saying anything else, Ayre refocused on burning the parts of my body that were stuck to the floor or each other.

"Hey, hey." Albert's laughter had disappeared. His triumphant expression was replaced by nervousness. "You could die if you did that."

The smell of something burning filled my nose. I continued to endure the pain and heat that was tormenting me. My eyes fixed sharply on the figure of Albert, who could only freeze.

Looks like I'll be very content twisting his head in retaliation for this humiliation.

"Foolish bastard!" Albert turned the small jar nearby, triggering the magic barrier protecting the Mythril flower to disappear. He then ran away with that thing. "Hey, useless guards! Where have you all been!? Come here quickly!!! Kill these bastard intruders!!!"

I'm not letting you go, Albert Garlington.

"More." I hissed even though the pain was getting worse.

"But, my lord..."

"Didn't you hear my orders?" It's hard for me to even talk. It's not just the heat that I suffer from; my skin feels like it's being torn apart by thousands of claws. "I said more."

Ayre didn't speak anymore and enlarged the flames in her hand. I flinched hard at that. My pain increased many times over.

Even so, I chose to bite the edges of my lips until they bled rather than scream. If I screamed in pain, then Albert would think I was weak.

Let him be intimidated by me, the demon lord. I've fought all kinds of strong opponents. I won't let myself be defeated by an ordinary human like him.

The few minutes that passed felt like hell. I can finally be free, despite the many burns on my body. My breath also became uncontrollable because of my struggle to endure the torments.

However, I can't stay still. Footsteps started to appear down the stairs that led to this place.

"Do you still want me to free your wings, my lord?" Ayre's voice was getting hoarse. She had never shown anything like that before. "I can do it, but…."

"No time." I cut her off. "Just free your legs first."

I stood up against the pain that almost perched all over my body. Just then, several people entered with raised swords.

They attacked me, and I forced myself to give them combination fists. However, my attacks are less accurate due to the pain that still rages through me. They managed to slash me several times.

Ordinary sword attacks shouldn't be able to injure me, but it's different if they hit the parts of my burns.

Fortunately, Ayre helped me by shooting them with electric flashes. It didn't take long for most of the guards to fall.

I pulled the collar of a guard I met in the yard of this house earlier. "Where's Albert?"

"He's leaving in his carriage!" The guard closed his eyes, not daring to look at me. I then threw his body into a row of ceramic urns, making them shattered.

With limping steps, I started walking while Ayre was still trying to free herself. However, I slowly forced my body to move faster. And then, I ran up the stairs, though with increasing pain.

I want to keep my pride as a demon lord.

As soon as I exited the basement stairs, I went to the nearest window. My eyes could catch the scene of a horse carriage speeding in the distance.

I backed off a few steps, took a deep breath, sprinted, then jumped to smash the window through.

After rolling on the grass, I kept moving my legs as hard as possible. I could only rely on my legs to catch up with that carriage since my wings were still shuttered.

I kept pushing myself past my limit. At first, I felt the carriage was getting farther away, but gradually I got closer to that thing.

And finally, I was only a few feet from the vehicle.

"Hurry up, you idiots!!!" A curse from Albert came out of the carriage. "Can't you see he's chasing us!?"

We entered the city streets. I jumped again, then gripped the edge of the carriage. With only one hand, I pulled off that thing door.

However, just as I was about to enter, Albert threw a small ball at me. It exploded before I could do anything, sending me flying backward.

"Arghhh!" And I managed to catch the wheels of that thing. My body immediately rotated, making the horse carriage topple over.

The sound of the carriage shattering echoed hard, followed by the neighing of the horses. My body was lying on the pavement after previously rolling like crazy.

It's not over yet.

I got up, still struggling, and walked over to Albert lying on the ground. The nobleman's head was covered in blood, and he was unconscious.

I could have tortured and finished him. However, if he died now, I don't know what would happen in the future. It could be that he is the ancestor of some important people.

Everything will change, and I can't predict it.

So, I held back the anger overflowing in my head, reached into his nightrobe pocket, and took out the damn thing.

Just because of that flower-shaped metal, I have to suffer like this? Seems like the conveniences we've had since coming to this era are bad omens.

"Are you okay, sir?" Ayre walked in quick steps towards me with the form she usually used.

My gaze fell on his expressionless face. "Yeah, I just feel itchy."
