147 The Finalized Product

The new dome which was a combination of the dark earth construct and the darkness elemental barrier worked the same as the other barriers in that it was able to keep any sounds from getting in and out of the dome.

But taking the advantage of the other types of domes, the combination barrier also had a resilient foundation that was very hard to destroy but also didn’t block out the sun’s light from coming in and enabling the people inside the dome to see.

Moreover, the combination dome was still able to be cleaned up relatively easily compared to the full dark earth dome. Albeit it would still be comparatively more complicated and took more time than just casting a single spell to clean the dome up like the darkness barrier dome.

After Robus took good care of the humanoid demons and gave 2 souls to Blake before eating the rest, Blake then began tidying up the remaining bottom half of the combination dome.

The top half, the darkness barrier part of the dome, was simply taken care of by casting a single spell. And after Robus took all the souls and easily jumped out of the remaining half-dome, Blake began to work and drew rune formations on the ground beside the remaining dark earth construct.

The rune formations that Blake drew weren’t anything complicated. It was just a combination of a very basic earth spell that he learned from Vera’s book with a little bit of modification.

And after a full minute of drawing rune formations around the remaining dark earth construct, Blake sent his nether and activated the rune formations.

The rune formations then glowed and released a flash before the ground right beneath the dark earth dome began to be pushed downward, leaving a space for the dark earth dome constructs to slide downward and go inside the ground.

Blake had modified the basic earth spell to make a hole in the ground and made the hole the perfect size and shape so that the dark earth constructs could just slip back to the ground as if nothing had happened.

.....

Of course, the dark earth construct was still visible as its color was way darker than the ground around it.

But it was much better than leaving the remains of a huge dome standing above the ground as it would gather much more attention than just a dark earth ring on the ground that would not be visible unless you get close enough to see it on the ground.

“Then that’s it. We’re done with our tests, Robus.” Blake stretched his body before collecting the wooden balls and wooden cubes that he used to summon the combination dome.

Blake’s tests had finally come to an end and he was ready to farm his souls from the nest of humanoid demons.

Out of the three domes that he had experimented with, Blake decided to use all three and decided not to discard any of them away.

Albeit all of them had their own weaknesses, they would be useful in certain situations, including the full dark earth dome that rendered the vision of the people inside unusable.

It would be able to become Blake’s trump card if he was ever surrounded by humanoid demons with the brownish demon’s group capabilities as in there, Blake would be able to deal with all of them with his spells without even needing to see them while they wouldn’t be able to locate Blake’s location.

The darkness barrier would be used for most of their hunts as it was the easiest one to serve its purpose of isolating sound while also the one that was also the easiest to clean up.

While the combination barrier would be used if he and Robus met a formidable enemy that wasn’t as weak as the humanoid demons’ group that he and Robus met so far.

Then equipped with Blake’s new rune formations, the two then began their hunt.

Just like their usual routine back on the island, they would hunt for a few hours or at least until they were tired before taking a break for a while and continuing their hunt after their stamina and fatigue had been washed away.

This routine continued on for several days and the two had killed many more humanoid demons than the ones that had come to their island.

Albeit the number of souls that they got isn’t as much as the ones that they got from the humanoid demons on the island as the humanoid demon hunters that roamed around the area were much weaker than them.

But still, it had benefited Blake and Robus a lot.

Blake was only 21 souls away from leveling up and getting more status points to get himself stronger.

Blake and Robus had just come back from their last hunt and it was supposedly time for Blake to sleep first before it was his turn to watch out while the big gorilla rested.

But after seeing the souls that he had gathered, Blake felt that he only needed one last push, a couple more hunts to be exact, to get the souls that he needed to level up. And it was quite hard for him to shut down his brain and sleep while he was feeling excited.

However, Blake knew that forcing his mind would only lead to him and Robus possibly making mistakes that they would never make if they were completely rejuvenated, so instead of forcing himself and Robus to go out on a hunt again, Blake just decided to use his rest time to walk around and get some fresh air.

It wouldn’t be a total rest like if he was sleeping, but taking a stroll also counts as a rest to his mind.

His hunt with Robus had been very successful so far.

He had never attracted the attention of the humanoid demons’ base and kept on hunting the humanoid demons that were relatively away from the base and used the isolation dome to prevent the humanoid demons from getting away or asking for help.

Other than a few irregularities that Blake didn’t have a single idea about how it had happened like several patches of the forest suddenly caught on fire and a sizable chunk of the forest had been destroyed by forest fire, nothing seemed to have been out of the ordinary.

However, there was still one thing that burdened his mind, and he didn’t know how to treat it.
