Khal felt anger sweep through his body, but quickly calmed down and took a deep breath.
The old crawler naturally noticed this, but surprisingly it didn't seem to bother him at all. Instead, he just crossed his arms before his chest and said, "Of course, if you wish not to pay anything, that is perfectly fine with me too, but then you must leave in the following hour."
Khal looked at the creature before shaking his head slightly and taking a small pouch out from his spatial ring.
"Here... It's exactly 700 Gold Coins. You can count it if you don't believe me." Khal said in an indifferent voice, but anyone with a keen eye saw that he felt slightly upset he had to pay that much.
The old creature took the pouch away from Khal's hand and while ignoring Khal's obvious anger he counted the amount inside it. Only after going through it twice and making sure it was indeed 700 Gold Coins did he nod calmly and look at Khal with a slight smile.
"Then as promised, you can stay and hunt for beasts for 7 hours without any restriction. However, once the time has been expired, you will be brought back to this place. Also, keep in mind that if you dare to hide and stay for more than the amount of time you have paid for, you will be listed as a sinner, thus once have been caught, punishment will be given to you accordingly."
"Any questions?"
Khal shook his head quickly.
"Perfect. Now you are free to go then." the old crawler gestured which at Khal simply nodded, and with quick steps vanished into the distance.
Once his figure was far away, the old creature looked at one of his subordinates on his side and said quietly, "Follow him from a safe distance and make sure he does not plan anything."
"Boss, you think he will try to hide and stay longer than the paid duration?"
The old creature touched his chin gently before giving a slight nod as a reply and saying, "It's very likely, yeah."
"I see, then I will keep an eye on him no matter what!" after bowing with respect, the creature pushed his feet against the ground and burst into the distance with a speed that was by no means inferior to Khal's.
Seeing this, the old creature nodded with slight satisfaction and after ordering the rest of his subordinates to continue with their work, he walked back into the building.

Running through the colorful forests and the vast grasslands with lightning speed, Khal scanned his proximity with his Heaven's Eyes.
'This is ridiculous! Paying that much only for 7 hours? And if I stay any longer than that I become a criminal!? They have fucking lost their minds!' Khal cursed in his heart, but as he could no longer do anything about the matter as he already paid the price, he quickly calmed his nerves down and started to focus on the objective before him.
Traveling through the forest with rapid steps, Khal gazed at the scenery before him with a nonchalant expression before suddenly his head snapped toward the left.
'Find one!' thought Khal and without hesitation activated his Lightning Step that he learned back on Planet Katrov.

With speed twice as fast as before, Khal vanished from his spot with a thunderous blast that traveled far and wide, leaving only a deep pit on the spot where he just stood moments ago!

In a blink, Khal traveled hundreds of meters in an instant and reached an open field where a creature representing a crimson fox stood on all fours, its sharp and narrowed gaze directed right at him threateningly.
"Only at the Body Refining Stage? Then die!" Khal sneered coldly and swung his Devil Fangs twice.

Like magic, several crescent winds blades emerged around the creature out of thin air and exploded right the next second, tearing the beast's body into numerous parts under a single second!
Poor thing didn't even have the chance to cry out in pain, that's just how fast it has died.
But Khal didn't care about this at all nor did he feel sympathy. This was how things worked in the cultivation world and this is the way it will work in the future too; the strong will devour the weak while the weak could only accept their fate!

"With this speed, I wonder just how much beast he will be able to kill before running out of time." showing a slight smile, the Night Crawler took one final glance at the cracks on the ground that were created by the wind blades before resuming his chase after Khal.

Zigzagging through trees and boulders with lightning speed, Khal killed beasts and consumed their essence one after another without caring anything in the world.
No matter if the beasts were on the First or Second Cultivation Stage, all of them had no choice but to submit their essence to Khal, who was akin to the reaper, collecting souls in large numbers under the full moon!
