Khal remained silent. However, because of the ever-increasing pain in his body, he realized he was not feeling things as he indeed was on the verge to acquire a new core.

[Because almost all the beasts above the Ninth Cultivation Stage formed their cores, it's evident the Moonlight Rabbit has formed its own too. When you consumed the beast, you have consumed its core too.]

'I see, but... I don't have enough Body Essence to improve my core holder.' thought Khal and opened his status.

Since his previous Beast Core required him an exact amount of 10,000, Khal knew that this one will require him twice as much, an amount of 20,000!

And as he could see it, he only had a bit less than 16,000, quite far away from improving his Power Core Holder.

Despite increasing his Body Essence as much as he possibly could inside the Neverending Dungeon, he didn't think he will be lucky enough to obtain another Beast Core in such a short period of time.

If he were to know this, he would have definitely stayed longer in the Neverending Dungeon, increasing his Body Essence at least until it did not reach 20,000!

But everyone was smarter after knowing what happened, so Khal could only sigh helplessly and say, "I don't want to."

Whoosh!

As his voice fell, Khal watched as the energy become one with his body and soon an announcement played in his head.

['Beast Core: Moon Claw' has been successfully consumed!]

Khal hearing that he obtained the Beast Core felt joy and regret at the same time. But again, as there was nothing he could do now he could only accept such an outcome and move on.

'Let's be optimistic. At least this is a Beast Core from a beast that surpassed the Ninth Cultivation Stage. Although I could have gotten a much stronger ability, it is better than nothing, right?'

Khal replenished his energy that was lost during the fight while he waited for Jas to return. He even ate several healing pills that he bought beforehand just in case he needed them, repairing his broken bones and damaged organs in his body.

Time passed in silence and after a few hours later Khal felt a weak ripple in the air before he watched Jas emerge out from thin air. He was finally back.

"How is Logan?" Khal asked with concern as he stood up and dusted off his clothes.

"He will be alright but needs at least a week to recover. Almost all of his bones snapped and had been crushed while some of his organs had been pierced through by them. The experts told me it was a complete miracle none of his vital parts had been punctured or else he wouldn't have survived." Jas explained.

"A complete miracle, huh?" Khal touched his chin, pondering deeply about that part.

"Anyways, let's go and see what lies behind that gate. Although I wanted to enter that place with Logan, I can't wait any longer... just what kind of place can it be that needed such a terrifying beast as a guardian?"

The question was a reasonable one as even Khal wondered about the answer. Any type of place that was guarded by a creature on the Tenth Cultivation Stage must be extremely ancient with many mysteries waiting there to be unearthed.

"Let's go." Khal nodded and with Jas following him climbed out of the crater and entered the cave.

Arriving before the huge gate which indeed looked rather ancient and mysterious, Jas and Khal looked at each other not knowing what they should do.

Although common sense told them to go up and open it with a simple push, they could never know if danger lurked around or not. Maybe the gate could be opened only through special means and anyone or anything that tried to unlock it normally would trigger a trap and die immediately!

It was something they didn't dare to risk doing until they didn't make sure that it was perfectly safe.

However, their worry was meaningless. Just a few seconds after they started to ponder what they should do, the blue gem in the center of the gate lit up before the sides of the gate proceeded to open up without causing a single sound.

Looking at each other, Jas and Khal nodded and went to enter the unknown. Going through the gate with raised guards, the two looked around to be shocked beyond belief.

Greener fields than emerald wherever they looked at and cherry blossoms on the sides of the jade path that led the way upward where the majestic looking building that Khal saw in the past was visible.

However, the most shocking thing was not the breathtaking sight that was impossible to find elsewhere, but the number of Essence Particles in the air that was shockingly dense! Just taking a single sniff from the air made Jas and Khal feel as their Essence thrived!

"It feels like I am back to Blade Mountain! No... It's simply impossible to compare the two. The difference in the density of essence is just simply way too vast!" mumbled Khal with a startled complexion, feeling as if he just entered a completely new world.

After basking in the dense essence for a while longer, Jas and Khal followed the path until they reached the building they saw in the distance.

"It was already a glamorous sight from the distance, but seeing it from far away is another thing. Whoever made this was a master in the field of architecture!" Khal complimented the scenery before him with a slightly loosened jaw, while Jas on his side did nothing but nod in agreement.

"Huh? What does that mean?" Khal pointed at the carvings above the entrance of the building, as they seemed to be some type of ancient letters he failed to recognize.

Jas followed his finger, but the very moment he read the carvings his eyes widened, and mumbled, "Unbelievable. To think this is indeed the place from the legends..."

"Legend? Why? What are those carvings mean?" Khal asked, his interest piqued after seeing Jas' reaction.

"According to those carvings, which were written in the ancient language, this building is the Moon Temple. The legendary palace where the Moon Goddes lived during the ancient era. Simply unbelievable...." said Jas instantly without hiding a thing from Khal.
