Chapter 14: [Met Requirements!]
*Swish!*
*Squash!*
With an unpleasant sound, the black knife got pierced deeply into the assassin’s chest, making a huge amount of blood to flow out from the wound instantly.
“Huh?”
Feeling the sharp pain, the guy looked down to see what happened, but the moment he saw the knife inside his chest, the only thing he could do was to fall to the side motionlessly, unknown if he was still alive or not.
“DAVID!!”
The other guy in the back shouted up with horror and without any hesitation, he pointed at Khal on the ground and waved his hand toward the window.
“!”
Not knowing what kind of power will be used against him, Khal wanted to grab the knife on the ground and jump to the side, however, he was too slow.
Just as he could have grabbed the weapon, he watched as his body got raised high up into the air, and like a bullet, his whole figure got blown outside through the broken window.
*BOOM!*
With a huge explosion, Khal’s body exploded powerfully onto one of the large trees outside, making him to cough up a massive amount of blood instantly.
“Blargh!”
As this happened, Miss Mary and Liza who were sleeping until now soundlessly in their respected rooms, heard the explosion outside, so without hesitation, both of them ran outdoors to see what has just happened.
“What happen-, oh my Lord! Khal are you alright?”, asked Miss Mary with a shocked expression and ran up to Khal hurriedly.
The moment she saw Khal’s bloody figure lying on the ground motionlessly, she didn’t know suddenly what to do, so first, she decided to check if Khal was still alive or not.
“Blaergh!”
Coughing up another amount of blood, Khal looked up at Miss Mary and Liza, who were looking at him with pale complexions.
With a trembling body, he wanted to stand up but found out that he couldn’t. It seemed that a few bones inside his body got broken by the powerful impact, making any kind of movement for him quite challenging right now.
“Don’t talk, let me heal you first.”, said Miss Mary and without hesitation, she put her hands on Khal’s back.
Instantly, gentle blue light started to cover Khal’s back making his expression to become much better with each passing second.
Liza on the side looked at Khal with worried eyes and asked, “Hey, what happen-.”
*BOOM!*
However, just before she could have finished her question toward Khal, suddenly the side of the orphanage exploded, revealing two men inside the eatery wearing a robe and a mask.
Khal seeing that the one he threw the knife at was doing fine and was not dead, looked pale and looked at Liza and Miss Mary.
“Cough… Cough… R-run… Please…”, said Khal in a trembling tone.
However, Liza didn’t listen to Khal at all but instead pointed at them and with a dark expression she asked calmly, “Who are you and why are you here?”
The assassin who was injured, slowly looked at Miss Mary than at Liza and with an angry voice he started to whisper, “I will kill that woman, but make sure you leave that girl alive. I want to make him know who he f*cked with.”
“Sure.”, said calmly the other man and waved his hand without hesitation.
“Hey, I asked yo-.”
But before Liza could have ended her question yet again, just like Khal a few seconds ago, suddenly her body flew up into the air and in a flash, her body exploded into a tree on the side like a projectile.
*Bam!*
“Argh!”
Khal’s expression seeing this darkened and wanted to do something, but before he could have done so, suddenly the assassin appeared behind his back, right next to Miss Mary’s body.
“Caref-“
*Slash!*
Khal wanted to warn Miss Mary, however he was too late to do so and the result was dire. Like thunderbolt coming from the clouds right above, the assassin’s hand moved and with a smooth move he cut Miss Mary’s head off.
“No…”
Watching as Miss Mary’s lifeless corpse fell before him while her head rolled away with the shock still visible on her face, Khal’s expression and body stiffened up immediately.
Liza, who was still dizzy because of the impact wanted to stand up, but the moment she saw what happened too, her whole body froze up too.
“You monsters!!!”
Instantly, her expression turned terrifyingly dark, while the surroundings around her started to froze up instantly.
But this happened only for a second, because before she could have done anything, the other assassin appeared right behind her, and with a powerful slam, he pushed her down onto the ground.
*Bam!*
“Just calm down missy. We don’t want to make things even worse than this.”, said the man above Liza in a calm voice, while slowly tightening his grip on her arms with each passing second.
“LET! ME! GO! You all will pay for this!”, murmured Liza angrily, but no matter how hard she struggled she couldn’t escape the man’s grip.
The man who got pierced by Khal a few moments ago walked next to Khal’s lying body and crouched down next to his blood covered figure.
Grabbing him by his hair and raising his head, the man leaned closer to his face and started to speak in mocking manner.
“So? How does it feel? How does it feel to be this weak? A talentless rat, who couldn’t even sustain a small hit and ended up looking this pathetic. Do you remember this?”
As the man asked this, he took out a bloody knife slowly from his pocket and said, “This was the one you threw at me, remember?”
Spinning the knife around his fingers a few more times, the man looked at the blade, and in a deep and cold voice, he continued.
“Because you have done that, I ended that bitch’s life with the exact same knife you have thrown at me. And now, I will kill your friend too, right before your very eyes. Remember it well. It is all happening because of you!”
As he said this, the assassin tossed Khal’s face into the dirt and started to walk toward Liza with steady steps.
“No…”
Seeing as the man was not stopping, Khal said louder this time.
“No… stop it…”
Still, his pleading wasn’t helping at all, instead, it made the man to laugh like crazy and crouched down next to Liza, who was restrained by the other man.
Watching as the man raised Liza’s face by grabbing her hair and pointed the knife at her neck, suddenly in Khal’s head, Nancy’s corpse appeared yet again.
“No… Don’t… Don’t take her away again…”, mumbled Khal with despair, but seeing as the man was not stopping at all but still laughed like crazy, Khal screamed up angrily.
“STOP IT!!”
Hearing the scream the man laughed even more and said, “Sorry kid, but you need to take responsibility for your actions.”
With that, he started to push the knife into Liza’s neck without hesitation.
Khal seeing Liza’s desperate gaze as she looked at him, he felt an insane amount of pure rage surging through his veins.
He wanted to scream up, but just before he could have, suddenly his bracelet on his wrist lit up and a voice sounded in his head.
