Chapter 130: Artificial Beast Essence
A blood-freezing howl that shook the entirety of the wasteland broke out from the Grit Eater.

Like a wild creature that went insane, the Beast went on a crazy frenzy, sending massive amounts of sand into the air with each blast as its body hit the ground powerfully.
“SCHREEECH!” however even under such a maddened state, where anyone near it would be smashed into a pulp right away, Rubie assaulted the Grit Eater without mercy like a real predator.
One slash with her claws after another while evading the onslaught at the same time, Rubie now showed why her species were called the Emperor of the Skies by Cultivators!
Every person that spectated Khal’s fight looked bewildered as they wouldn’t have thought that the bird on Khal’s shoulder would be so powerful!
The bird that was still on the Third Cultivation Stage right now barraged a Beast above her in Stage with relentless attacks, causing the Grit Eater’s skin and the sand around it to be soaked with dark red blood that gradually began to solidify.
Khal watched this scene with a slightly dropped jaw as this was his very first time watching Rubie fighting for real.
He saw her kill Beasts before on Moon Mountain, but at that time he knew she held back because they only had to kill First and Second Stage Beasts.
However, now that she was against a terrifying Beast that was a Stage above hers, she truly showed her real strength!
The Grit Eater that was considered an unparalleled creature in the deserts right now was like a mouse before a cunning cat; it could do nothing but wait for its death helplessly!
The more Rubie’s claws sliced into the Beast’s eyes, sending blood and shredded eye parts into the sky, the more solidified blood began to fell into the sand while the Grit Eater’s movement became slower and slower with each passing second.
“Damn, this is not a fight at all… This is a massacre!” thought Khal as he watched the humongous body of the Grit Eater deop into the sand, no longer moving an inch.
“SCREECH!!” with a victorious cry, Rubie stood atop the huge Beast’s head, her wings wide open showing her majestic figure to all to see!
“Good job Rubie!” exclaimed Khal merrily as he walked toward the corpse, but just as he raised his feet an amazing sight occurred.
The Grit Eater’s body suddenly turned into a yellow liquid just like any other Beast’s body would after death, but instead of hovering above the ground it flew and melted inside Khal’s body in a flash!

“Argh!” screaming up loudly, Khal’s body fell into the sand, his hands tightly holding his chest in pain.
His eyes turned blood red whilst the veins below his skin popped out one by one in a disgusting manner.
“What… The actual fuck is happening with me?” groaned Khal in pain.
Currently, he felt as though his body was pierced from the inside, while his heart was beating like a war drum on a battlefield!
It felt as though his heart wanted to explode and leap out of his chest!
“What is happening?” asked Scarlett with a deep frown, but strangely no one could answer her question.
Even Jas and Jane, two experts that lived through quite a lot and knew about things that others not, didn’t know what was currently happening with Khal.
It was a completely new sight even for them too!
A Cultivator whose physical state suddenly dropped to such a frightening level without getting poisoned or cursed… They couldn’t think about any logical explanation at all!
Watching as Khal’s body struggled in the sand like a fish that was thrown into the land, Liza’s and Nate’s complexion stiffened up a bit while Alde’s face showed enjoyment.

Almost in no time at all, he regained his physical strength completely. Standing up from the sand and glancing at his body Khal felt confused.
“Artificial Beast Essence? What the hell?” Khal felt confused by this, but couldn’t really think further as Rubie cried up loudly from above his head.
“What?” asked Khal as he turned his head around, but his eyes immediately widened as a result.
In the far distance, about 2 miles away from him several huge sand clouds were on their way to him, each twice as big as the first one!
“Fuck! Grit Eaters! And many at once!” exclaimed Khal loudly and without hesitation activated his Secret Art’s First Form.
BAM!
Pushing his feet powerfully against the sand, Khal’s body burst forward in the opposite direction like lightning!
Rubie was naturally was not stupid either and even though she could kill one Grit Eater at a time with ease, several more at the same time was still an impossible feat even for her!
Hence, without hesitancy she flapped her wings and began to follow Khal, her eyes continuously looking out for any unwanted dangers from high above.
However, not even a few minutes have passed when suddenly Khal heard Rubie’s cry from above, making him turn his head toward the right.
“Another hord? Just how many is there?” thought Khal with shock as he changed his direction toward the left in a flash.
But just as he did, Rubie’s cry sounded from above once again, causing Khal’s complexion to change drastically.
South, North, West, and East. From each direction Khal saw as Grit Eaters approached him at a rapid pace, each of them obviously targeting him as their prey.
“What should I do now?” ponder Khal with an indifferent face, his grip tightening around his Devil Fangs.
“Ha! He is a dead person! Didn’t he know that Grit Eaters can sense if another Grit Eater dies? Once you kill one you will become the target for all the Grit Eater there! You will die a miserable death!”
Every spectator knew this, some even averting their gazes from Khal’s figure as in their eyes he was already dead. Instead, they went to check out other participants on another screen who was still alive.
“Tsk… This is bullish*t! How could a Fourth Stage Cultivator without any experience survive in such a harsh environment! This is total crap!” exclaimed Scarlett angrily, causing many around her to nod immediately in agreement.
But strangely, Jas didn’t seem anxious nor disappointed at all. No, instead his face held a mysterious smile that made all the teachers present turn confused in an instant.
“Why does Principal Jas look so hap-” began to say Connor, but even before he could have finished his sentence something unexpected happened.
Right before Khal, a Grit Eater with a size twice as huge as the previous one emerged and in a flash consumed Khal’s figure.
Yet, just as others would have thought that Khal was dead, the Grit Eater’s back abruptly opened wide like a blossoming flower whilst Khal’s blood-covered figure began to climb out from the gap!
His body was covered with dark red blood, while his rigid, crystal-like skin flickered with a black hue as the light shone on it.
In his hand, the dagger now was opened into a fan shape, its blood-covered edge gleaming with a bright silver light.
“!?”
While everyone looked at Khal’s monster-like figure with dumbfounded expressions, the Grit Eater’s body gradually turned into a yellow substance and was consumed by Khal right away.
